I get about 20 videos entitled something like 'Steven Crowder change my mind response/debunked' all by people with hundreds of subs, then a bunch of young turks videos all before I get a single Steven Crowder video
...meanwhile, I'm grill-roasting a pork butt roast on the deck and couldn't be happier. The leftovers of that pig also went to a meat rendering plant so it can fertilize Earthling Ed's next plate of "organic" fruits and veggies. That's where the organics come from to keep vegans' ego trips affordable-the meat industry. Vegans tends to be people of good morals and ethics, but good morals cannot prevail in an environment where people can't rely on their leaders to make ethical decision for the purpose of lessening pain and suffering in the world, if being Vegans is a good moral choice then people need the choice to choose it, when your cities decays into choas rather than order and mutual trade, Veganism is no longer a choice. People will kill each other without order, only 1st world countries can be vegans, 2nd and 3rd world countries have more issues to contend with than advocating for luxury choice of being Vegan, And if a people choose not to follow your set of beliefs, respect the sovereignty for a state and its people to eat meat. I come from Perú, I ve known farmers and other people who also deal with them, and let me tell you, they like selling their products in a higher paying market. Mhm, isnt that crazy. But again, this is anécdota I know but luckily their are sources of the goverment (in spanish ofc) that clearly show these XD, how selling grains and fruits is help in helping the Andean and costal farmers economy by opening a higher paying market and organizing informal trade. And go back to the other point I made, does someone really believe that a farmer wont like to make more money XD.
Also the idea that they are consuming less quinoa is false, quinoa and other Peruvian grains like kiwicha and canigua have been and are still a part of the Andean cuisine. They still continue eating the same foods as before. And even If they didnt, the alternative they would use are normally just as nutrituous or more than quinoa xD
@@curiouscomrade8680 same, it was because my diet in general was so bad I felt like I had to eat superfoods like quinoa to make up for it and be healthy. Started eating more veggies and fruits instead of meats and realized being healthy didn’t mean forcing myself to eat healthy foods I didn’t like, but eating a diet comprised almost entirely of healthy foods I do like.
Caitlin Williams apparently you don’t watch enough Crowder to see the numerous times he’s invited the young Turks on, he’s had Christopher Titus on, and he often plays devils advocate by actually trying to disprove those he agrees with (all be it in a joking manner because he is a comedian and not a news source).

Not only because I disagree with this guy, and don’t find him particularly compelling, but the greatest reason is because TH-cam has once again decided to censor Steven Crowder. This video, who’s watch count is dwarfed by most of Crowder’s, is around the top of the list when I search “Steven Crowder” on TH-cam. The only other ones on there are various interviews Crowder’s done on Joe Rogan, a man who is noticeably less conservative than Crowder. I have to go to page two to even get an inkling of Crowder’s content, and I don’t even have safe search on. That’s why I’m downthumbing the video, because TH-cam has made a conscious decision to say “we want you to watch this over Crowder” when I said “I want to watch Crowder”. I’m simply letting TH-cam know, in one of many ways, that I think they’re full of horse sh*t. And it doesn’t hurt that this Ed guy’s a bit of a ninny as well.
Teddy Pinder I’m not sure what there was to disagree with, but you have a right to an option on fact. But it seems your true issue at heart isn’t with the video in particular, but the down right mistreatment Crowder receives from the platform it’s self, in which I agree with you. The Fact the matter is that when it comes to the mass silencing of voices being Steven isn’t the only one, This is a recurring and concerning issue, that is beginning to receive a lot of attention. The Platform will have to make a decision that will most likely divide the community, thus leaving other new competitive video hosting services to arise and give the people who are intentionally being mistreated the Freedoms and Rights they deserve and should shamefully already have. All Conjecture of course. TH-cam needs to be clear with there rules and fast. or I fear the worst will happen to this titan of an industry.
@@CurieuxWolf Yeah, my main point is that TH-cam is scummy for censoring people, and putting videos I never wanted to see at the top of results for someone I want to see. I believe Earthling Ed's facts are wrong, but that's not mainly what I was getting at. It's the fact that I specifically searched for Steven Crowder videos, and not a single one comes up, but instead I almost always get videos trying to debunk him which is the last thing I ever want to see when I type in "Steven Crowder". If I wanted that, I'd type in "Steven Crowder Counter Arugments" or "Steven Crowder is Wrong". I simply searched "Steven Crowder", and to see this shows that TH-cam not only actively censors him, but also actively leads people in the opposite direction of his content. The reason I said I downthumbed the video is twofold: 1. Earthling Ed is just wrong and 2. TH-cam wants this guy in my feed and search results, so I'm giving them whatever little scrap of feedback to show that, no, I don't want him in my feed, nor my search results (Well, it's more general than just Earthling Ed, but hopefully you get my point).
You people who disliked this are just wrong , Steven Crowder does not give two shits about facts unless it involves furthering his political / economic agenda. Watch Hbomberguys video on climate denialism it dedicates a fair portion of the video to debunking Crowders and other right-wing youtubers bullshit claims, it gives multiple specific examples of Crowder manipulating statistics to lie to his audience and reach a woefully undeserved and greatly generalised conclusion. Now onto the dislikes part, it has been proven over and over again that the meat industry has massive impacts on the environment and the results of which far outweigh the negative affects of agricultural exploits, Kurzgezact (I think that is how you spell it) made a great video on meat, and why it is pretty bad, despite all this evidence when people surround themselves around right-wing echo chambers ( or really any political ideology, religion, philosophy etc) they begin to adopt those thoughts and ideas to be true. When you think something is true for awhile you often begin to intentionally or unintentionally have those opinions impact the way you act or think, when faced with evidence of the latter, you might consciously or subconsciously try to block out those opposing thoughts in fear of admitting that you thought like an idiot or did things that you regret whilst under he influence of those ideas

@Nick Stiso The vast majority of people aren't living as part of indigenous tribes, and the rest of us don't live like our ancestors did thousands of years ago. We are lucky to have the ability to make better choices. No one is arguing that the whole world needs to go vegan but there are millions of people lucky enough to live in a place that has an abundance of non-animal food choices. It is up to us to educate ourselves on what we're spending our money on, and what we are putting into our bodies. If we were born to eat meat then why is it that you don't eat flesh straight from the animal? Your teeth aren't designed to, and it'll make you ill - you have to prepare and cook it. If your argument is that of nutrition then where do the animals that you consume get all their nutrients from? If they get everything they need from plants then why can't we?

@Nick Stiso Not at all, even the guy that made the video says that it was necessary for them to eat meat. As to why did they prefer to hunt rather than eat a fruit or something, well they did both, however, let's remember they only ate fruits or vegetables that they didn't plant, because, as I'm sure you know, they were nomads, so they were moving from place to place, so they didn't even cultivate their own plants, and a big animal can probably feed more than the plants you can find in your way, because as I said, they didn't cultivate their own plants when they were nomads. Then when they became sedentary, they did have their own plants, but plants are seasonal, and they didn't have refrigerators or something, they needed almost optimal conditions to grow their food, that's why they were in the necessity to eat animals, plus the vegetables and fruit back then weren't as nice as today's, as our vegetables, fruits, etc. are a product of reproducting only the best ones.

Animals don't fix any inorganic nitrogen, nitrogen-fixing bacteria do. Furthermore, quite often farm animals contribute to pollute the soils with excessive ammonia.

@Jacob DuBois Hasanabi does a pretty good job at rebutting Steve Crowder’s arguments and it made me realized how many of Crowder’s fallacies I, as an easily manipulated 15-18 year old viewer, fell for. But the main thing that got exposed about Crowder is that he doesn’t actually care about marginalized communities and he argues that they are not marginalized at all and he’s dangerous. He just says things his fan base wants to hear because they’re his literal source of income. Like.. I know he knows the basics of gender theory and is just acting like he doesn’t.. like he MUST know right? Science is not even on his side with that one. I’d rather not hear him out anymore. And to be fair.. I’ve been hearing him out for about 3+ years. I love the fact that everybody assumes vegans eat tons of avocados and quinoa. Those are pricy aliments that many peolpe, such as myself., can't afford them in regular basis. And that doesn´t mean I'm a less healthy vegan.
@@MayorBrownn Quinoa is cheap in Canada? Where are you shopping? I think it's still about $3-$4 per pound, compared to rice which is about $1-$2 per pound.
@Rosa - totally agree. I can't afford to be luxurious with food spending. We eat a lot of beans (chick peas, lentils, white beans, split peas, kidney beans, etc). Those are mostly grown in Canada. For other protein sources we use some tofu, and also nuts and seeds (tahini especially, and some peanut butter). For grains we use rice (different kinds: basmati, short/long grain, sweet rice, red and black rice when we can get it at a reasonable price), barley, millet, and occasionally something more extravagant like quinoa or sorghum, and of course rolled oats. I used to make my own bread with (mostly) whole wheat flour, and other things like waffles. I have a cupboard full of different kinds of herbs and spices to make the food more flavorful. And then we use other things like canned tomatoes, coconut milk, tamarind, miso, soy sauce, ginger, etc., to make the sauces for the beans and so forth. All of course combined with various vegetables (usually what is seasonal or on sale). And of course, potatoes. We make our own salad dressing with soy milk, lemon juice, olive oil, mustard powder, onion powder, salt, and some dill and dried chives. We like it better than any commercial offering. On the whole, I think as a vegetarian, I use more variety of different foods and flavors than I would as a meat-eater, where the meat is the main flavor that everything else is built around that.
@@MagnusBringsli nobody talks about people with allergies. If it's about survival or being healthy, I have no problems with eating meat and so on. I myself have to take medication where there are no vegan alternatives. I will always promote a vegan lifestyle but I accept that there are a lot of people who can't do it 100%.
Veganism isn't incompatible with conservative philosophy - personal responsibility (going vegan on your own for the animals instead of waiting for government to ban meat for environment/health etc ) and respect for life and individuality (every single animals forced into the world in unnatural captivity, fattened, hurt and eaten are individuals in their own right) are both conservative ideals
Crowder is wrong here. Most harvest are feed for the animal. We are already farming lands. Take away the factory farmed animals who eat way more than humans and there is plenty of food that doesnt negatively effect the environment.

I was a vegan for a long stretch as a teenager but fell out of it because a few personal tragedies made me less empathic towards social causes. Now I just eat meat because it's part of the routine I guess.. watching these videos is making me optimistic that I can change

@james belcher ill try and understand what you wrote. the livestock we have on earth now is selectively bred by humans to have unnaturally fat bodies, so much so chickens cant support their own weight...and cows have been bred to produce so much milk it hurts them and they get boils filled with blood and puss which then goes into the milk you drink. The eco system balances out unless humans fuck it up, so if humans didnt kill all the predators to protect their livestock, then we wouldn't have an abundance of deer. You need a balance for the eco system to survive. Yeh predetors have to kill...but that's not their fault... we actively breed, torture, kill these animals and ruin our world in the process. Unfortunately the world wont go vegan tomorrow, so meanwhile well reduce the ammount of animals we breed unnecessarily until the only cows left on earth are the wild cows....not deformed milk cows

Smart title I came for Crowder but stayed for interesting veganism facts I'm seriously considering veganism as a lifestyles choice, with easy transition from being pescatarian
It's not too hard, I did it a couple years ago. I used to use so much milk so finding the right plant based milk helped a lot. Then just find some affordable nutritious meals to fit in to your regiment(I really like tofu scramble burritos with lots of veggies) and you're good to go for the most part.

Ya know all those "organic" veggies that vegans love buying? Ya know where the organics come from to fertilize those plants? They come from the meat industry. It's bone meal and fish meal from rendering facilities. Manure too. Half of every cow slaughtered cannot be sold legally as beef. It therefore gets ground up and turned into raw organic matter for the fertilizer industry. That fuels vegan ego trips. It keeps all those veggies affordable. The next time you run into a meat eater, thank them for subsidizing vegetarian meals by paying top dollar for the tastiest parts of cows so that vegans only have to pay for the cheapest cow parts.

It wasn't a vegan study, it was a 10 year observation of hundreds of thousands of people across different regions in China. What they found was that the optimal amount of animal products in the human diet is ZERO. Also, the largest study ever conducted on all types of agriculture and their link to climate change was done by Oxford University. It was an unbiased study with all the proper checks and peer reviews. The study concluded that if every human went vegan, we could reduce our food related emissions by 75%. That isn't cherry picked information. That isn't vegan bias. That is actual science that actual scientists conducted. Sorry to burst your bubble, but vegans have every science based fact on our side in regards to the environment and human health. We also have the ethical argument. Omnivores have nothing to fight with besides excuses and bullshit opinion pieces from farmers.

As someone who is usually very conservative/ libertarian, still love watching him shred arguments of conservative talking heads with facts and logic. It’s funny how veganism seems to be such a dirty word, but the core of freedom is “we are great because we are good.” Educating people and encouraging them to pursue something that is healthier, more compassionate and more sustainable is the core of what this country was built for imo
MajorKee I’m speaking from my 4+ years working in cardiology. In general Americans, including heavy weightlifters, are consuming an excess of protein in their diet. How are vegan alternative protein sources (ie., peas, beans, legumes) which are higher in fiber, while being lower in fat and cholesterol, not healthier than meats? And please don’t give me the “chicken and fish is good for you” cop out, it’s not good, simply less bad for you.

The vast majority of soy is consumed by meat eaters, because it is fed to livestock. Bacon is a heavily processed Class 1 carcinogen. 1 in 4 Americans dies of heart disease, caused by inability to metabolise saturated and trans fat in meat. The American and British Dietetic Association endorsed veganism as it prevents and reverses chronic diseases. If you wanted to knock 20 years off your life you would continue to eat bacon like a good NPC cuck.
Jay Bacon is a class 1 carcinogen. It raises your risk of colon cancer significantly and gives you heart disease at the same time. It’s literally one of the unhealthiest foods (and also one of the most common foods) in the standard American diet. Soy has phytoestrogen = plant estrogen. Phytoestrogen has little to no effect on human (mammal) estrogen levels. There are zero studies on moderate soy consumption raising estrogen in normally-functioning men. You know what does raise human estrogen levels? Cow titty milk, as it‘s full of actual *mammalian* estrogen.
You should reach out to Steven and see if you can go on his show to discuss this. He prides himself on open conversation so I’d think he’d be open to it. Your knowledge and temperament would be great on his show.

Couple of things, 1. I am a meat eater, and I gave this an upvote, for I appreciate the sound argument. It seems that you are selectively using data as well, but I like that it seems that you may be open to debate. I strongly suggest you debate omnivores about this. 2. Humans cannot fully thrive long term without flesh. I think it would be good to improve our land use policies, but the intentional deprivation will only cause more suffering. I myself am conservative and I have been vegan for 2+ years and can honestly say I feel amazing but I will also like to state that I felt pretty damn good prior to making the switch. At the end of the day the point I’m trying to make is you can thrive on a vegan diet and perform at an optimal level as a high performance athlete so why not reduce animal suffering and learn how to make some kick ass plant exclusive meals. You gotta know that there are facts why veganism is better than meat eating and there are facts why meat eating is better than veganism. That’s the big 2 sides, I love hearing pro veganism facts and pro meat eating facts.
Alot of Ed's talk is just opinion. None of the 'facts' he uses are actually facts that benefit the vegan case, alot of the numbers he uses are from study's on vegeterians, not vegans, there is a big difference. And he leaves alot of information from the same studies that he qouted that would make his argument look stupid

Ed understands that most people don’t care about the science and he hopes reaching them on an empathetic level is a more effective approach. To say he looks stupid for moral arguments makes you, intern, look stupid. And unlike Steven, Ed doesn’t degrade or demean anyone who disagrees with him. Steven will bully, talk-over and demean his own guests. You don’t have to agree with veganism or go vegan, but you shouldn’t look for obnoxious reasons to belittle someone as calm and level headed at Ed.

No, really, he's not. This guy is hilarious and doesn't understand debates. So crowder used an opinion piece from a source he typically discredits, how is that any different from an atheist using the Bible and its contense as an argument against something Christians are claiming. You can use the work of people you disagree with and it makes an even stronger point. Also as a horticultural consultant and specialty crop grower who focuses on soil restoration and soil microbiology I can attest to the fact that pasture land sequesters far more carbon than crop fields which actually depletes carbon from the soil.
If you want people to raise more cows to prevent soil erosion how do we do that without raising them for meat. The idea is that you raise more cows for meat and reduce soil erosion. The thing is that a farmer does not raise cattle for their animal views they do so to feed their families. lol.

I come from Perú, I ve known farmers and other people who also deal with them, and let me tell you, they like selling their products in a higher paying market. Mhm, isnt that crazy. Also the idea that they are consuming less quinoa is false, quinoa and other Peruvian grains like kiwicha and canigua have been and are still a part of the Andean cuisine. They still continue eating the same foods as before. And even If they didnt, the alternative they would use are normally just as nutrituous or more than quinoa xD

Not only because I disagree with this guy, and don’t find him particularly compelling, but the greatest reason is because TH-cam has once again decided to censor Steven Crowder. This video, who’s watch count is dwarfed by most of Crowder’s, is around the top of the list when I search “Steven Crowder” on TH-cam. The only other ones on there are various interviews Crowder’s done on Joe Rogan, a man who is noticeably less conservative than Crowder. I have to go to page two to even get an inkling of Crowder’s content, and I don’t even have safe search on. That’s why I’m downthumbing the video, because TH-cam has made a conscious decision to say “we want you to watch this over Crowder” when I said “I want to watch Crowder”. I’m simply letting TH-cam know, in one of many ways, that I think they’re full of horse sh*t. And it doesn’t hurt that this Ed guy’s a bit of a ninny as well.

But it seems your true issue at heart isn’t with the video in particular, but the down right mistreatment Crowder receives from the platform it’s self, in which I agree with you. The Fact the matter is that when it comes to the mass silencing of voices being Steven isn’t the only one, This is a recurring and concerning issue, that is beginning to receive a lot of attention. The Platform will have to make a decision that will most likely divide the community, thus leaving other new competitive video hosting services to arise and give the people who are intentionally being mistreated the Freedoms and Rights they deserve and should shamefully already have.

I believe Earthling Ed's facts are wrong, but that's not mainly what I was getting at. It's the fact that I specifically searched for Steven Crowder videos, and not a single one comes up, but instead I almost always get videos trying to debunk him which is the last thing I ever want to see when I type in "Steven Crowder". If I wanted that, I'd type in "Steven Crowder Counter Arugments" or "Steven Crowder is Wrong". I simply searched "Steven Crowder", and to see this shows that TH-cam not only actively censors him, but also actively leads people in the opposite direction of his content. The reason I said I downthumbed the video is twofold: 1. Earthling Ed is just wrong and 2. TH-cam wants this guy in my feed and search results, so I'm giving them whatever little scrap of feedback to show that, no, I don't want him in my feed, nor my search results (Well, it's more general than just Earthling Ed, but hopefully you get my point).
You people who disliked this are just wrong , Steven Crowder does not give two shits about facts unless it involves furthering his political / economic agenda. Watch Hbomberguys video on climate denialism it dedicates a fair portion of the video to debunking Crowders and other right-wing youtubers bullshit claims, it gives multiple specific examples of Crowder manipulating statistics to lie to his audience and reach a woefully undeserved and greatly generalised conclusion. Now onto the dislikes part, it has been proven over and over again that the meat industry has massive impacts on the environment and the results of which far outweigh the negative affects of agricultural exploits, Kurzgezact (I think that is how you spell it) made a great video on meat, and why it is pretty bad, despite all this evidence when people surround themselves around right-wing echo chambers ( or really any political ideology, religion, philosophy etc) they begin to adopt those thoughts and ideas to be true. When you think something is true for awhile you often begin to intentionally or unintentionally have those opinions impact the way you act or think, when faced with evidence of the latter, you might consciously or subconsciously try to block out those opposing thoughts in fear of admitting that you thought like an idiot or did things that you regret whilst under he influence of those ideas

@Nick Stiso The vast majority of people aren't living as part of indigenous tribes, and the rest of us don't live like our ancestors did thousands of years ago. We are lucky to have the ability to make better choices. No one is arguing that the whole world needs to go vegan but there are millions of people lucky enough to live in a place that has an abundance of non-animal food choices. It is up to us to educate ourselves on what we're spending our money on, and what we are putting into our bodies.
If we were born to eat meat then why is it that you don't eat flesh straight from the animal? Your teeth aren't designed to, and it'll make you ill - you have to prepare and cook it. If your argument is that of nutrition then where do the animals that you consume get all their nutrients from? If they get everything they need from plants then why can't we?

As to why did they prefer to hunt rather than eat a fruit or something, well they did both, however, let's remember they only ate fruits or vegetables that they didn't plant, because, as I'm sure you know, they were nomads, so they were moving from place to place, so they didn't even cultivate their own plants, and a big animal can probably feed more than the plants you can find in your way, because as I said, they didn't cultivate their own plants when they were nomads. Then when they became sedentary, they did have their own plants, but plants are seasonal, and they didn't have refrigerators or something, they needed almost optimal conditions to grow their food, that's why they were in the necessity to eat animals, plus the vegetables and fruit back then weren't as nice as today's, as our vegetables, fruits, etc. are a product of reproducting only the best ones.

- Farm animals don't improve soil, bacteria and fungi do. Animal poop works as fertiliser because of its bacterial content. Animals don't fix any inorganic nitrogen, nitrogen-fixing bacteria do. Furthermore, quite often farm animals contribute to pollute the soils with excessive ammonia.

The more I hear people breaking down Crowder’s arguments the more I get embarrassed of the fact that I used to be a Crowder fan.

@Jacob DuBois Hasanabi does a pretty good job at rebutting Steve Crowder’s arguments and it made me realized how many of Crowder’s fallacies I, as an easily manipulated 15-18 year old viewer, fell for. But the main thing that got exposed about Crowder is that he doesn’t actually care about marginalized communities and he argues that they are not marginalized at all and he’s dangerous. He just says things his fan base wants to hear because they’re his literal source of income. Like.. I know he knows the basics of gender theory and is just acting like he doesn’t.. like he MUST know right? Science is not even on his side with that one. I’d rather not hear him out anymore. And to be fair.. I’ve been hearing him out for about 3+ years. I just never challenged his claims because he seemed so confident picking on college kids instead of experts or political commentators who also debates.

I love the fact that everybody assumes vegans eat tons of avocados and quinoa. Those are pricy aliments that many peolpe, such as myself., can't afford them in regular basis. And that doesn´t mean I'm a less healthy vegan.
Quinoa is cheap as hell for me here in Canada. It’s a superfood!

@Rosa - totally agree. I can't afford to be luxurious with food spending. We eat a lot of beans (chick peas, lentils, white beans, split peas, kidney beans, etc). Those are mostly grown in Canada. For other protein sources we use some tofu, and also nuts and seeds (tahini especially, and some peanut butter).
For grains we use rice (different kinds: basmati, short/long grain, sweet rice, red and black rice when we can get it at a reasonable price), barley, millet, and occasionally something more extravagant like quinoa or sorghum, and of course rolled oats. I used to make my own bread with (mostly) whole wheat flour, and other things like waffles.
I have a cupboard full of different kinds of herbs and spices to make the food more flavorful. And then we use other things like canned tomatoes, coconut milk, tamarind, miso, soy sauce, ginger, etc., to make the sauces for the beans and so forth. All of course combined with various vegetables (usually what is seasonal or on sale). And of course, potatoes.
We make our own salad dressing with soy milk, lemon juice, olive oil, mustard powder, onion powder, salt, and some dill and dried chives. We like it better than any commercial offering.
On the whole, I think as a vegetarian, I use more variety of different foods and flavors than I would as a meat-eater, where the meat is the main flavor that everything else is built around that.

I myself have to take medication where there are no vegan alternatives. I will always promote a vegan lifestyle but I accept that there are a lot of people who can't do it 100%.

Crowder is wrong here. Most harvest are feed for the animal. We are already farming lands. Take away the factory farmed animals who eat way more than humans and there is plenty of food that doesnt negatively effect the environment.

@james belcher ill try and understand what you wrote. the livestock we have on earth now is selectively bred by humans to have unnaturally fat bodies, so much so chickens cant support their own weight...and cows have been bred to produce so much milk it hurts them and they get boils filled with blood and puss which then goes into the milk you drink. The eco system balances out unless humans fuck it up, so if humans didnt kill all the predators to protect their livestock, then we wouldn't have an abundance of deer. It's not too hard, I did it a couple years ago. I used to use so much milk so finding the right plant based milk helped a lot. Then just find some affordable nutritious meals to fit in to your regiment(I really like tofu scramble burritos with lots of veggies) and you're good to go for the most part.

It wasn't a vegan study, it was a 10 year observation of hundreds of thousands of people across different regions in China. What they found was that the optimal amount of animal products in the human diet is ZERO. Also, the largest study ever conducted on all types of agriculture and their link to climate change was done by Oxford University. It was an unbiased study with all the proper checks and peer reviews. The study concluded that if every human went vegan, we could reduce our food related emissions by 75%. That isn't cherry picked information. That isn't vegan bias. That is actual science that actual scientists conducted. Sorry to burst your bubble, but vegans have every science based fact on our side in regards to the environment and human health. We also have the ethical argument. Omnivores have nothing to fight with besides excuses and bullshit opinion pieces from farmers.

As someone who is usually very conservative/ libertarian, still love watching him shred arguments of conservative talking heads with facts and logic. How are vegan alternative protein sources (ie., peas, beans, legumes) which are higher in fiber, while being lower in fat and cholesterol, not healthier than meats? This video was great! Very informative! Also I wanted to mention that I’ve been watching your videos for about a week now and you’ve made me realize how much sense it makes. I’ve started taking steps towards becoming vegan so thank you! Keep posting these commentator videos too I found it was much more educating than debate videos because you actually get to fully open up your points and give proper detail to your arguments which fully strengthens them in any viewers mind.

The vast majority of soy is consumed by meat eaters, because it is fed to livestock. The American and British Dietetic Association endorsed veganism as it prevents and reverses chronic diseases. If you wanted to knock 20 years off your life you would continue to eat bacon like a good NPC cuck.

Human and animal exploitation will always be present in capitalist regime. Sweatshops, wage theft, child labour, unethical treatment of workers and so on and so on.

1. I am a meat eater, and I gave this an upvote, for I appreciate the sound argument. It seems that you are selectively using data as well, but I like that it seems that you may be open to debate. I strongly suggest you debate omnivores about this.
2. Humans cannot fully thrive long term without flesh. I think it would be good to improve our land use policies, but the intentional deprivation will only cause more suffering.

I myself am conservative and I have been vegan for 2+ years and can honestly say I feel amazing but I will also like to state that I felt pretty damn good prior to making the switch. At the end of the day the point I’m trying to make is you can thrive on a vegan diet and perform at an optimal level as a high performance athlete so why not reduce animal suffering and learn how to make some kick ass plant exclusive meals. Exactly. I'd be more okay with it if meat eaters were just honest in saying: yes; I eat unsustainable and unhealthy products simply because I like the taste. You gotta know that there are facts why veganism is better than meat eating and there are facts why meat eating is better than veganism. That’s the big 2 sides, I love hearing pro veganism facts and pro meat eating facts.
Alot of Ed's talk is just opinion. None of the 'facts' he uses are actually facts that benefit the vegan case, alot of the numbers he uses are from study's on vegeterians, not vegans, there is a big difference. And he leaves alot of information from the same studies that he qouted that would make his argument look stupid
tt wrong. He presents first and foremost a moral stance, which is usually opinion based. But he sites empirical unbiased data all the time when the debate takes that turn. Ed understands that most people don’t care about the science and he hopes reaching them on an empathetic level is a more effective approach. To say he looks stupid for moral arguments makes you, intern, look stupid. And unlike Steven, Ed doesn’t degrade or demean anyone who disagrees with him. Steven will bully, talk-over and demean his own guests. You don’t have to agree with veganism or go vegan, but you shouldn’t look for obnoxious reasons to belittle someone as calm and level headed at Ed.

No, really, he's not. This guy is hilarious and doesn't understand debates. So crowder used an opinion piece from a source he typically discredits, how is that any different from an atheist using the Bible and its contense as an argument against something Christians are claiming. You can use the work of people you disagree with and it makes an even stronger point. Also as a horticultural consultant and specialty crop grower who focuses on soil restoration and soil microbiology I can attest to the fact that pasture land sequesters far more carbon than crop fields which actually depletes carbon from the soil.
If you want people to raise more cows to prevent soil erosion how do we do that without raising them for meat. The idea is that you raise more cows for meat and reduce soil erosion. The thing is that a farmer does not raise cattle for their animal views they do so to feed their families. lol.
