I had a similar experience on a countryside walk in Lechlade-on-Thames in December -- no wellies and strategically stepping in the least muddy spots I could choose. I was jealous of all the people in the pub who were wearing proper wellies, but I don't regret taking the walk as it was lovely.
When in England visiting my family I love to do just this. I have family in Eastbourne so the South Downs and Seven Sisters country park are wonderful in East Sussex. Also family in Gloucester area, hope to visit again next year. Love a pub for lunch or dinner too. # beans out
Love where the pub is on that little lane next to the stream. In that setting i expect to see the old boys from "Last of the Summer Wine" wander in for a pint in between escapades.
Love The Shepherd & Dog. One of my favourite watering holes (When I'm not driving). I agree about the food prices though but because it is so popular, and the food is very good they just mark up their prices. The walks around that area or even all of The South Downs are brilliant but not over the winter way way too muddy. By the way I hope you guys are OK
I have been watching your UK videos for days now and they are genius! Never knew so much about the UK as I have learned thru these videos. Beautiful country sides, great pubs and cider! Thank you!
Watching your England series, made me really regret I haven't explore more of England when I did my MA in London. You're showing us such a lovely places.
Hi guys! We have so much fun " being with you" on your travels! This was a fun video but one question, on your walk did that sign say, The natural trust. Fu-king Escarpment or do I need new glasses?! 🥸 We love you guys! 🤠🧑🦰🌲🌲 🎼
Love it as always. Kind of put off my dinner after the pie incident 😉😘 such a shame about the drone. I bought mine back from Oz at Christmas but the weather was too bad to use it. Could have saved much anguish going through security.
I'm a bad bad man as I do not have any Wellington boots mainly because I don't tend to do to many country walks in the winter, I probably should do more though. Top video that pie looked awesome but you can tell your in Sussex when your paying £16.50 for it
That beard is coming along nicely! Shepherd and Dog is a bit of a touristy pub hence the high prices. Sorry I went to Brighton Poly! Looks like you had a Fulking good time!
I haven't the heart to cut it off now it is this big. Looks like it is here for the winter and a mini experiment of how big it can get. We got recommended it by Emmas dad, didn't look at the prices til we got there and almost boycotted the food lol.
As always love the vids. also i don,t know who's sense of humour it was? your's or some local's, but i have to admit guilt that the national trust sign at the start of the vid did make me chuckle.
nice , picturesque , serene , pristine and cool breeze countryside .....16 pounds for a meager meal ? that will get you dinner for 2 in the Philippines :-))
The mud is the best part of a stroll in the countryside, if you don't come home covered in mud than you haven't had a walk in the country. A good pair of boots, not wellies, helps, wellies are not good for your feet when walking any distance.
In the intro the sign says Fucking Escarpment ? I think I'm right when I said Emma have a new boyfriend (small and long hair chap) in the other video and she shoved that fork down Alex's throat lol just kidding 😂
I wish you could but you definitely can't in other areas near that pub. If we drove in to Brighton maybe but even then, doubt you could get a similar meals for a fiver
Yeah I am from the South West and things are cheaper here as well (less so than the North). I still scoff at the idea of paying £10 for a meal but in the South East you can only breath for that price haha
Love your content! Hate your camera. I'd wish you'd go back to the other one. Every time you are talking at the camera, the background goes in and out of focus and is very warbly at times. If you want to use that camera, I suggest you use the manual focus. Compose your shot before talking into the camera. That will eliminate the wild focusing in the background. Travel safely!
Hi Beans… Alex weren’t you ever taught by your parents NOT TO LICK YOUR KNIFE for obvious reasons , & it’s damn disgusting as well. Please stop doing it , it’s annoying!! Thx. 😮😢
If your going to food reviews have a shave 🙈 was going to check out your channel after watching that no thanks , I’ll stick to the pros like endless adventures etc 🤮
It's the best feeling after you've finished a lovely walk in the wild, to come back to a nice country pub for a pint and true pub grub.
I had a similar experience on a countryside walk in Lechlade-on-Thames in December -- no wellies and strategically stepping in the least muddy spots I could choose. I was jealous of all the people in the pub who were wearing proper wellies, but I don't regret taking the walk as it was lovely.
Bloody hilarious!! Alex should take part in pie eating championships - he'd surely win!!

I’m so glad you showed the mud. I was not prepared to slip and slide so much!
My favorite chapter in the UK, so british and so much fun, miss my British best friends, pie and fish and chips

Watching your England series, made me really regret I haven't explore more of England when I did my MA in London. You're showing us such a lovely places.
:) we always feel like London is almost another country. It is such a small country but so many nice spots crammed in to it :)
True, it is nothing like the rest of England I had a chance to see. :)
Beautiful scenery and great video guys!
You got my view! And what a view it is! Greetings from NYC!
Yep, my comment got a heart! Beans, beans are good for a heart...

Yeah bloody mental, wouldn't be seeing those prices in Somerset, not on my watch!

It suits you. Try not to get food stuck in it! I should keep it until you move to some where hot.

I think I'm right when I said Emma have a new boyfriend (small and long hair chap) in the other video and she shoved that fork down Alex's throat lol just kidding 😂
Lol.did her mouth open as well as little kids do when feeding them airplane style??
You can get a similar meal for £5 at most other pubs. I would walk to the next pub than pay those prices
I wish you could but you definitely can't in other areas near that pub. If we drove in to Brighton maybe but even then, doubt you could get a similar meals for a fiver
@@TravelBeans I do apologize I guess I really meant up north and actually I probably meant around 6 quid.
Yeah I am from the South West and things are cheaper here as well (less so than the North). I still scoff at the idea of paying £10 for a meal but in the South East you can only breath for that price haha
2nd here
I would pay the for decent food all day long, good shout on avoiding anything with fish in 97.4℅ of pubs.
I like you % I think that is pretty spot on!
What is the most expensive pub you have been to?
Hello guys
You forgot a cheeky Nando’s tho
Will have to have one soon and will make it extra cheeky.

On a positive note though, at least it was a proper pie... None of this casserole with a pastry lid 'pie' rubbish.
Pie needs pastry allllll around it.
I couldn't agree more!
Why you say any woman out side the england should not spend more then ten pound on pie ???
👍🏻🤗🙋🏻♀️❤️❤️💖💑
I swear I will never pay more than 10 pounds for a pie!! And I will eat from a fish and chip shop!!
#beardgang
16 pounds for a pie 😂 how much is a pint a tenner?
lol
Great channel 😁 we are coming soon to youtube if we can support each other’s channel
