Just to be clear and fair we had a ton of fun in ALL of these rigs. The pricing is appropriate for the area and obviously isn’t for everyone. We absolutely did go against the agreed upon rules for these rentals and did expect to get yelled at if caught. Just enjoy the content 🇺🇸

Those rental prices on some of the machines is absurdly high. The sunbuggy might be the dumbest off road vehicle I’ve seen in a long time. Especially for what it cost to rent.
In the UP I rented a maverick x3 all day 8 hours for $250. Those sand dune prices are robbery.

You guys gave a way better review than they deserve on those over priced & restricted fun limited rentals. Even after their fun stopper patrol spanked ya all multiple times. Thanks for the what to expect, actual rental experience … 5 day rental with chaperones or buy your own unrestricted machine ⚖️ unlimited hrs allowed to cross puddles and leave the ground 💁🏻♂️

That's some insane rental prices for 4 hours. I can rent a car for 2-3 weeks for $800 where I live.
It's cheaper in Moab and I'd much rather go to Moab!
What's crazy is if you go out there on a weekend there's rentals everywhere those companies are making a fortune
The rental prices are always completely nuts. I was in Glamis and offered them $800 for a Canam for 1 day on an empty weekend. They refused and the car sat unrented. The prices are outrageous. I'll buy a second car before I spent 2k for 1 weekend
160 a week for a econo car in upstate NY. I get it's not the same but never will get that money from me. Funniest part about them guys getting yelled at is they all have better machines than anything the rentals have and they probably did more for the rental companies by giving them free advertising. But let's be assholes to them anyway right. What a joke that place is. Glad I'll never go . Many better places to spend time and money

Pipestone Montana, that’s what it was last year now it’s 370 for a day apparently but still way cheaper and the machines aren’t limited besides factory settings

If the sunbuggy had softer suspension, and mohawks on the front, itd be way better for cornering. We avoided those and rented a 1000xp and were happy.

Rented a SunBuggy the friday before Jeep Invasion. Had a great time!
VERY HAPPY we got a buggy With REVERSE! They should not offer those buggy's without reverse, in my opinion.
It did over-heat and we had to swap to a SxS. That fit our 4 people a lot better too.
I think our SxS was limited to 25mph which was kinda lame but still better than the bumpy buggy

We recently rented the 5 seat sxs and the shifter broke then they gave us the truck style one and it wouldn't make it up test hill but it was great fun
This video was a genius idea after watching all the post on the Fb page and the silver lake page
I agree the prices are steep for these things but they’re more for people that want to go have fun that dont own their own equipment or are not local and want to have fun.

Ultimately, their rigs, their rules, i really didn't like how they handled talking to you guys like kids, that boils my blood a bit... but this was a great video idea. I rented a talon from Silverback to run the dunes for the first time a few months ago and had a blast, even limited to 40mph. I had unit 217 which had a trinity stage 5 exhaust. That made it feel faster than it was.
Pricey, yes for sure. But for someone like me visiting from Canada, a $600 day beats hauling my rig for the tune of thousands of dollars in fuel and hotel stays.
Its $350 out here in az for a full day

I drove something like the Sunbuggy in Las Vegas. If you're used to anything with power and speed I highly recommend saving your money. As soon as we found out what powered them and watched the safety video I asked to be refunded but they told me to try it out and we could talk after if I wasn't satisfied. I wasn't. Basically 2" suspension and held it wide open for the whole tour. Then afterward I couldn't get refunded because we went, but they did end up giving me a credit so I could go again another time. I promptly sold it on Craigslist, no thank you. I would love to do something like it again, but with about 150-400 hp haha

I worked for Sun Buggy in Oregon about 15 years ago, nearly positive that is one of the same buggies, maybe the least fun you can have in the dunes for $700 lol
