The Germans always do a thorough bureaucratic job. I signed up with Papillon last year, spent 3 days at their headquarters on the Wasserkuppe to a) show them that I got the basic flying skills (Höhenflugreife) and b) to participate in theory classes and c) take the exam. All this was easy. Then I spent a week in Lüsen/Südtirol with Papillon to finish the A-Schein. Make sure to contact the DHV to get some of your US flights approved beforehand. Doing the 40 required flights in just a week is doable, but a stretch. Are you German? Do you speed German? I'd assume so. DM me if you'd like. See channel About.
