  • Theologian and reformer Martin Luther wanted the Book of James to be thrown out of the canon of Scripture specifically because of the text we are studying this Sunday. Why is that? He felt that it contradicted the Apostle Paul’s teaching on justification by faith without works. But history has shown that James was absolutely on point with his insights...he was getting at something that’s absolutely essential for our Christian life: we are saved by the grace of God, not our own works. And the flipside of that coin is that the very faith that saves us is demonstrated through our transformed life! The question is how all that works itself out in real life, here and now. Don’t miss this powerful study on one of the most foundational sections of scripture for our lives today.

To move on to perfection from, of faith in God, and repentance from dead works like in hebrews 6:1 isnt possible without saving faith in the first place. The difference between a minister under the Godhead bodily and being mediated to by the One mediator, and a minister without faith which shows his works are of God and the Spirit born inside them, are that they are an evident token of perdition, they dont believe to the saving of the soul. Heb. 10:38.

How many 'works' are required to be saved ? Be specific not general because general = don't know and if you don't know then it's because it's not taught for this 'Age of Grace'..Paul OUR Apostle taught GRACE and he taught that because that is what Christ taught him.....'Works' now = rewards in Heaven but not if you add them as a condition to be saved.

The most important James verse for the gentile is James 1:1. Jesus had James make it clear verse 1 this is for the 12 tribes of Israel because he knows modern day religion are going to add works for salvation. By the way Hebrews does not mean this is for gentiles also. This is another lie satan has the modern day religious systems making the Body of Christ the same as Jews following the kingdom gospel. James 1:1 was my wake-up call and hopefully may be yours. There’s not a person alive in the age of grace that is saved if they believe their goods works were part of their salvation. The body of Christ gospel 1 Cor 15:1-4 says we can believe in vain and works for salvation is exactly that.
