Ruth; You need to change the way you are feeding your apple trees! As they grow bigger, you must help them expand their root zone! Their roots will grow as far as their branchesfor ten years or so then they slow downwhen you tie a limb down to develop latterals, you will need to clip it off halfway to keep it from branching like that tall spindly one you have! You cannot have it growing like that!! It looks like you are going to have to clip it off at 12o ccs and start over again. It will blow over in the first big windstorm that comes along, and it will!! If you want to grow apple trees at your place you are going to have water them more and make a deeper mulch over all its roots, maybe 20 ccs deep during the dry season! Trees are like children! They need the right kind of dicipline at the right time. All of your dicipline should be given with your clippers instead of a pruning saw!! With kids, you dont want to wait until you need a Bullwhip,eh? Good luck with your farm,Ruth!
Thank you for your detailed observations and advice. Christine will have to give this message time and understand it well, I'm sure it will help. Thank you
I'm not sure of that content in Charcoal, but I first sampled it on Bananas and it was so helpful. To Apples it's super good in preserving water for the tree.

I'm not sure of that content in Charcoal, but I first sampled it on Bananas and it was so helpful. To Apples it's super good in preserving water for the tree.
