@@josiahrandolphbaldwin8272 The speaker said he didn't want witches in his church. But, is this the attitude and example of our Lord? Jesus surrounded himself with sinners. His explanation is found in Mark 2:17: "'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'" Sticks and stones may break our bones, but different religions (like pagans) are why we have The Great Commission. We need to take Matthew 28 to heart. My church doesn't judge sinners for entry into God's Kingdom. We practice what the Lord commands. We baptize many dozens of born again Christians every year, some of whom once lived a life of witchcraft. We don't exclude them from the place where they hear the Good News of Jesus. And we don't interact with the unsaved with chips on our shoulders. It's a poor way to preach the Gospel, and that's not the example that the Lord or Paul set for us.
@@josiahrandolphbaldwin8272 God does not tell Christians to murder witches -- ever. When you start talking murder, you'd better understand who God is talking about. He's not talking about a bunch of social misfits trying to discover themselves, which is all these fluffy bunny Wiccans are. I've been dealing with occultists for 20 years and have yet to run into the actual witch that God is talking about in Exodus. Now, they are out there, but they aren't the Gothy, pretend witches the pastor was dealing with.
Finally -- "disturb a meeting"? Really? Like what children, teenagers, and even some adults thoughtlessly do every week during church services? I'm afraid I took that part of the story with a grain of salt. Disturb the gospel? It misses reality on too many levels. Now, actual zealots and hatemongers in fact have done this, the Westboro people spring to mind, but even then only time to time. It's not especially common, even in a congregation as large as mine. The last one I can remember was schizophrenic too, as I recall. As for Wiccans, it's just not in their character or what they're about. When pressed they express vague and misplaced resentments against the faith. They're sheep without a shepherd who just need a scriptural understanding of the Lord and how He changes their life. When they see who real Christians are and spend time with us, the veil is lifted. There's more ignorance than malice to these people who, like most people, readily respond to the gospel -- when proper orientation is provided. They're sinners, as we all are, and need God.
Exodus 22:18 "Thou shalt NOT suffer A WITCH TO LIVE". Case closed!!! Read your Bible in it's entirety!
