In many countries, it is not allowed to film in malls or shops as they are private buildings. I personally believe the security guy was genuine. For example in London (at the time at least), you couldn't film or photograph in the streets of Canary Wharf as it's privately owned
im latino and they dont allow me to film in some malls in asia ,you should not take it personally. Theres a good chance that may have stopped you and asked you a few questions what you are doing etc even if you were chinese.
