Personally one of my favorite Shinedown songs. The song is about suicide. He's writing from the perspective of a friend who missed the warning signs and wished he had told the friend he could have talked even if it were to just lash out.
People interpret songs differently but Brent said he wrote the song for Jasin Todd his guararist from the 1st 2 albums and it was about a relationship falling apart.
4:05 is my absolute favorite part of this song. I have a tattoo for the first person I’ve ever truly loved and I kiss it every time that part plays. They mean so much to me and I just hope they know I will always love them no matter what
