  • Cindy Tesdall, teacher at Collinsville High School in Collinsville, IL wants to know what plans the candidates have for addressing the impending teacher shortage.

    I believe it's the 22 years of experience in which she's given her heart and mind to her students that make for the qualified part.

    Ms. Tesdall was one of my favorite teachers of all time (I doubt the feeling is mutual but no worries :) ), and i hated math. Yet, with her help I'm about to complete calculus 3 at USF. I owe a lot to her because she made me understand concepts logically. I miss you Ms. Tesdall.

    ok i have a question for you, and i really dont mean this rude
    but dont you think subjects like algebra, geometry, calculus, etc. are really worth being taught? there are very few practical applications for these subjects and few jobs requiring them. would it not be a more simple solution to take them in college if the student desires a career that does demand them?
    im not just picking on math, there are other wasteful subjects too. i am just asking seeing as you are a math teacher
