Imagine if Sam uses his super next to wall on a player which would give him infinite supers because he can continuously pick up his bear trap
That's literally the best way to play him. But that's not always easy to do.
Carl in a nut shell
U would only do that to heal up easily if u have the star power which heals u
It's kinda hard to pull off in the normal game and when picked up his Busters travel back to him at the same speed as Showdown cubes (and any other pickable object) which is a little slow and the health he recovers is 30% of his misding health, not max health so the fights are still winnable.
I think Sam is really fun to play but requires skill. With a good skill he can be insanely strong. Easier than Buzz and maybe a little easier than Mortis.

The only thing i don't really like about Sam is the way his attacks move. You will mostly hit only that 1 shot dealing half the possible damage of you aren't in the enemy's face
I imagine already the randoms using Sam's super for no reason like they do with gadgets. If they're slightly panicked, they press any button on the screen without thinking twice
And then they go to the enemy side of the map to get their knuckle busters and die (and are unsuccessful in getting it)

He's more similar to Primo. You can't avoid Rosa's punches in any way but you can't juke Primo the same way as Sam
Well I think Sam needs one of two possible changes to make it worth to use his super:
1) 15 Sec. Auto Super Recharge - Sam could just throw his weapon, waint around 15 sec. or more and his super will be recharged again. It's like Megs Mecha super, but 3 times longer. After that his second Star Power could cut that auto super charge by 33% (10 sec. to auto charge his super)
2) Make his second Star Power his base kit ability. Easy as that, give that sweet circle of super charging to him as base kit ability. After that second Star Power could just make that circle a little bigger, like... 15%-20% idk.
One of these 2 (I would love to see my second idea in game) could make using Sam's super a little more useful. His super will become a oposite of Feel The Steel - a self charging long range attack.
His second star power should be just the auto recharge without that silly useless circle.

@@thegreatkiwibeast2591 Stun at the end of throw may have some uses, however magnetic field could have 3 sec. long effect of pulling everything into knuckles
I thought of another star power, what if whenever Sam throws his super and hits an enemy, the enemy is slowed for two secs?
I think I'm going to save for the next pass, he doesn't seem too bad, but he needs some adjustments to make him playable for players with less skill

@@yingnanwang9304 at least Janet was cracked in her prime and Otis was aeh but at least with the star power off he's decent Sam is giving me the feeling he's so balanced so yeah not worth it he can be counterd with the simplist strategies so if you are the p2w kinda guy then yeah but it put if you are not then don't buy it not worth your time

I think that Sam will be used for brawl ball, with the gadgets you can do incredibly trickshoots.
I think you can do it with first gadget and second star power:you trow it in the spawn, you fight and charge it passively and after you get the super, use gadget(when there are 3 enemies) , use super,re-trow and do it again and again, after that I think it a 100% score...
I think sam should automatically recharge super when he has no knuckle bars
Why that would be so overpowered?

I say Sam looks very fun to play despite how simple his play style is.
I’m just a sucker for Melee Brawlers.
Now that i think about it, we have a close range brawler that lacks the damage if your enemy has a brain, is a tank with the drawbacks of a tank but not the benefits (other than health), basically no way to close the gap and also a weaker form which you might find yourself in often. BUT
Sam has such a fun idea and gimmick! If supercell adds some benefit to the weak form or make the attack pattern not as easy to dodge and make the speed boost stronger/longer Sam is gonna be a really good brawler! He genuinely seems fun to play but he needs a bit of work to be viable.
He will be a monster in very specific situations and otherwise pretty useless
The fact only 8/59 brawlers (Gus has no shot so he’s gonna count to losing) can win against sam in base level interactions but gets destroyed in actual interactions
Tip for Sam : when you're about to die, use your super, in any way possible, because you'll have it anyways once respawning

I’m having a tough time why on earth Colette, Gale, Amber and Gene are considered “long range brawlers” because they have average range, and they fair best at mid range combat. At a long range, it’s just too difficult to hit their shots (apart from Gene) and hard to deal consistent damage
I mean... go look at their profile in the game. Click info.. under their range what does it say? It says long... in fact I could probably put Carl in the long range as well.
Yeah I was thinking the same, based on my personal experience although they do have a relevant range, their play style are nothing alike with those of the traditional long range brawlers like piper/byron.
Instead of long he should say very long. It's a tile or so difference from "long" range brawlers

Walls are gonna be Sam's friend, he can also recycle it to reload twice as fast and immediately pick it back up for the bear trap basic attacks if the enemy isn't dead yet. He can also heal decently so you practically have an undying brawler if there's a wall. But he's pretty hard to measure because of his sad range.
You would need to be right next to the wall it would be easy to avoid this by just moving a little way from a wall
Feels like they really missed the opportunity for his fists to immobilize enemies like a trap when thrown through them or walked over

Shelly’s super: Indeed nobody is gonna win that!
A week ago, i had 133 gems, all got free to play, one day later a offer popped in my shop on brawl stars, it was 2 mega boxes for 119 gems, I showed my brother and he buyed it, and I started crying because I worked 5 months for that gems and I was planning to buy the Sam brawl pass 😭 my brother even laughed infront of me because he used my gems and bought the offer, :( I didn't get any brawler from the 2 mega boxes and, of course I used code lex when I buyed that offer with 119 gems I dont know if it helps to your channel but i hope, lex is my favourite youtuber I watch him always, and I like so much when he plays with tilly :) everytime when I watch his videos he makes me happy. Sam feels like El Prime miked with Bibi. Walking punching bag with long range super. Feel like will need a buff. Health, reload speed or damage buff will make him good i guess
Sam has a blind spot in his punches, just in the center, and you feel it the most when you 1v1 someone, you usually just land 1 of both punches. Because of this blind spot, you can't normally hit your opponent while running away
To better modelize the reality of the interactions in the game, you could rather replace the single 1:1 close range interaction with three interactions: 1:1 close range with wall, 1:1 close range without wall, and 1:1 long range. And probably explore without super and gadget, with super only, with both super and gadget. Though that makes the review more extensive, but I think exploring at least the first dimension with the « without super and gadget » point of the 2nd dimension would make much better sense ! Just an idea ahah, maybe you could explore only 1 point of the first dimension per brawler if there is no need to explore the other points (but I am thinking of assassins or throwers that can be playable on several points of this 1st dimension)

I think he will be pretty skill capped with the healing with the super and using the super to reload faster before going back to the strong form

I feel like one of the gadgets should have been able to let him teleport or get pulled towards the location of the knuckles after u throw them. Similar to one of carls gadget

@@airam1721 Starpowers don't make you a tank. The only star power that you can give a decent argument about is the second one, but either way she doesn't fit to be a tank. Think about it. It's like saying Nita is a tank because she has a star power that heals her, or saying Poco is a tank because he can heal alot. Just dosent make sense to me.
The Sam challenge: Win a game of showdown without wearing his knuckle busters, with the exception of the beginning of the battle where you will use it and never pick it up again!
Sam looks good, but I know Gus is good as I played someone who had him in solo showdown. it's on a vid on my yt channel, and unfortunately I couldn't get a replay. I did however look at his profile and see Gus the brawler at rank 12

Sam has very good concept but he has no beartrap mechanic while he uses it.
My concept is
1) Chancing his 2. Gadget instead of the explosion when you throw your super it will make brawlers unable to move (2s)
at the end of your super , nothing happends when it hits middle range like the 2. Gadget.
But they still can attack
2) it is in his mechanic so when he throws super it will make a trap (like belles 1. Gadget) when brawler walks or touchs it they will be stunned(2s) and it will happend one time so you can just recall your beartraps and throw it agin
imagine a tanky brawler with small range, and without the ability to get closer to the enemy. it will be pretty unbalanced, supercell will never add something like this... wait...
I prefer the rarity sort because I can know what brawler is coming next and I can navigate easier as well

I think they should rework to keep the explosion gadget permanent with the brawler and change it so he teleports to them, instantly picking them up when he uses his gadget while the knuckle-busters are on the ground

The could give him an attachment to his super. Like he throws them, doe’s damage, and they come back with smaller damage. And the compensation could be, a harder to charge super
Sam has an good cpncept but not really the stats to do so. I think he should have a bigger and lobger speed boost fron the trap throw and maybe a bit more damage on his weaker form to make it viable
Scrap the pushback gadget and make his ult pull people closer to him and if he hits it he gets his ult if not he has to wait for them and then they should add passive charge to his ult.

Or maybe dev should give him a buff like Ruff plate can be pick up by teammates, so sam trap can be pick up by teammates it would help him mobilize better
So basically he has, el primo as a base attack, Carl's As a super, buzz as a star power and Tara as a gadget... Very original, supercell.
The fact that each individual ability is similar to others already existing from other 4 different characters doesn't deny the fact that this specific combination of abilities makes him a new unique character.
You can't expect to not find similarities between existing brawlers when you are almost at 60 characters, in fact, if we think that way, NONE of the existing brawlers are original in any way, as "champion themed" videogames as MOBAS and Hero-Shooters have been existing looooong before Brawl Stars, and all of them have docens, even hundred of ideas, mechanics or abilities that were already used before Brawl Stars...
every brawler has aspects of one or more brawlers in some way, the combinations resulting in different playstyles is what makes the brawlers unique compared to the other brawlers
that's why the playstyle of El Primo (main attack: punch, super: jump)
is different from the playstyle of Edgar

i have noticed that when sam calls his super back he it charges his super when hitting enemies and i wonder what would happen if you use your super when the knucklebusters are coming back to you. also the 2. star power can be used to scout bushes by that i mean if your super charges youll notice that there is an enemy.

I think he'll be a bit underpowered, orat the very least situational. He is only good against certain comps on certain maps in certain modes. But i think a big factor is gonna be practice. He is very specific, but if you get good with him he's gonna be strong

I am .. a little bit disapointed by Sam. I mean, in game it will be really difficult to get close to ennemies without taking a lot of damage. Cause Sam doesn’t have any ability to get close to ennemies unlike Edgar, Buzz etc... but I think you should save your super until you get close to a brawler. Then you attack them and if he runs away you use your super to finish him and you go collect it.
