My favorite album of good Celtic music is Ronan Hardiman's soundtrack to the Lord of the Dance. That's a cd that I grew up with, just like you, and it still makes me feel better on bad days, like you said.
Me too! I used to dance to those songs when I was little, and then I just listened to them because I liked them too much. The Lord of the Dance soundtrack is one of the few albums I never tire of listening to.

I love this kind of music, and if there were only one kind of music in this world to listen to, Celtic would be it! I too like to listen to this kind of music when I am feeling down or when I need a good pick me up. My mind starts to wander, and I imagine myself back in those Celtic times.

I bought this cassette when I was 12 years old in a museum gift shop on a school trip to San Francisco and til this day (I'm 28), it also is one of my favorite albums and will always remain as such. I kept my cassette player for the SOLE PURPOSE of being able to play the Celtic Mystery cassette. I never listen to music before I go to sleep, but if i ever need to relax, feel nostalgic, or in fact, listen to music to fall asleep to, it's this album. After 16 years with this album, I can pretty much sing along to every song in Irish too hahahaha.

I've bought many cheap Celtic CD's growing up but never happened to run into this one. It's very unique sounding to the rest I have...love the water sounds in the background in the beginning, it adds to the song.

A few years ago I happened to find a celtic album called Celtic Odissey and from that time I've always been looking for other good celtic cds. Thanks for sharing this and for the link on Amazon, that was a brillant idea!

I have about 17 albums of Celtic Music. I know several nations trace heritage back to the Celtic Culture. I always thought that my heritage lined up with the Irish but I found out more of a English-Scottish heritage among or heritages. I would have to trace a lot of this back to the Titanic movie of 1997. Nothing can calm the soul like this music.
soothes the soul, takes me back to pure love and one human family ! (Before the Lords of War and Money) I can't wait to add it to my collection! Musical paradise, and who cares wether it's politically correct or not ! Thank you for blessing my day :)

Having some Irish in my family, I really enjoy listening to Irish and Celtic music. It helps me write and connect with that side of the world.
I know this sounds odd. But in college I took psychology as a major and I studied re programming and de programming and then I started into the hypnoses theory styles. I then ran into a few of my past memories of the Uk from other lives. Yes it was kind of shocking like waking up forgotten memories. Yes the land of the UK is really Emerald looking with your eyes closed. There is so much Magic on the islands. Yes there are little people and fairies and music that comes out of the clouds like it is in the sky and so much green everything. Well also this music reminds me of those other lives on ships off the coast of what is now Scotland I used to see about 20 or 30 large gray disc ships flying in the skies over Scotland on any given day. Yes I was mostly Viking in those days we had our ships in the water then they had their ships in the sky we would stare at each other. but what I love about this music is that it remembers some of the boat music the horns and the drums on the water of the seas is so beautiful even if some of them are war boats with war drums sometimes it is just coming home to your families with the drums and high whistles across the water to home to family and friends. Thanks. It has enriched my life to remember some of these things and visualize everything again as it once looked and to listen to music that can remember a person who they really are.......I still look Uk in body mostly like I usually pick for life times it is odd since my family came from the UK 300 years ago and mixed with everyone that I came out looking like I just stepped off the Emerald Island.....

Kyrianne, just a note to thank you for all you gave us through this album. I found it years ago thanks to this post, listened to it intensely for a few months. Then moved home and forgot about it. And now I have found it again as I am ready to move again tomorrow. It is the best soundtrack possible to my mourning today. It just speaks to my genes - I'm half Irish, born and grown in Spain -. LOVE this album!!

Ahhhh I am at sea sailing away to distant lands...nice nice lullabies....Full of the roar of the sea's might as it crashes against the rocks, and yet as smooth and calm as a millpond in the same moment, feel the power and seductiveness of ancient Celtic song....and drift away to relaxation.
