He truly understands what is going on beneath the blanket of confusion. Fossil fuel is of course the main thing to banish from Russia, but other goods as well. So I hope that they will expand into other sectors in the future. What is needed for the future, and not only in Ukraine but globally, is a complete decentralization of energy supply, which will make it much more difficult to sabotage whole districts, towns or cities. You can knock out a power plant that serves several hundreds of thousands of households at one time, but it is far, far more difficult to knock out thousands of households on their own energy supply. If not unimaginable.
Hopefully this allows the entrance of foreign troops to put boots on the ground and be a deterrent with their presence only. I understand training is going on as well but I think a closer collaboration locally would be more effective. This way Putin can’t say it’s a NATO escalation. More countries need to do this whether they are NATO allies or not. I think Putin would only object to American troops being present. The equipment has been coming from global countries, so no shortage there.
Right, no escalation there, in Feb. 2022 NATO promised blankets, helmets and tents, and then every couple of mounts it was ammunition, then light weapons, then heavy weapons, then tanks, then cruise missiles, then planes, then.... Right, no escalation. Just like you said. Once British, German, French and other NATO troops are in Ukraine to " keep peace", they will never get out- just like in Korea, Germany and Japan. I strongly agree. Over here in America, we grew up watching cartoons of goose-stepping Nazis and Soviets, and learn to loathe and despise them. President Zelensky and his top Generals need to mobilize more manpower and lower the draft age to 18 since fighting for your survival is paramount. Remember, the North Vietnamese government had no draft age limit during the French and American wars. In fact, anyone who wanted to fight to defend their motherland was greatly encouraged including as young as 10-year-old surveillant kids.
The problem with the UK is that they don't have enough of a defense infrastructure to defend themselves. Even more considering how they've been gutting the MoD budget. Plus they won't help you much in practice as their navy has no effective defense against drones. So, I'm afraid, more brave words with stuff all ability to back things up in practice.
Probably a good idea 💡 to decentralize Ukrainian electric power production using solar and wind, as with very many producers, an attack cannot knock out the power at a few critical plants. Putting more and more power cables. transformers, and substations underground can help harden the infrastructure as well, as well as energy storage facilities. You can make money by invading the country and dissolving it into multiple states with autonomy. Trade with the individual states is of much value for both sides.
