That's the first time Ryan has eaten peanut butter and not complained. Facts has force fed him so much of the stuff, that he's apparently developed a taste for it.

I was surprised that anyone preferred any of the store-bought candies at all. I feel like the preservatives taint the flavor when you compare them to homemade treats.Also: poor Ryan, you looked so tired, and you were so chill the whole time. Get some rest so you can come back and be ornery again.

I think the consensus is American peanut butter and caramel products aren't that nice. They always taste like pure sugar to me. I like reeses peanut butter cups, but the ACTUAL peanut butter I eat is salty and organic, the type you use for savoury foods not sweets.
This just continues to prove that homemade is always better than store bought.

I didn't expect them to get sick from the candy. They looked sick cause Ireland doesn't get enough sun. Those pink eyelids reminded me of Emperor Palpatine.
Sometimes a brand product is still better, but most often it's homemade. Not the least because you know what components went there, their quality, and you know the process was up to your standards. But while, with skill, you can adjust the product to make it perfectly to your liking, it takes a lot of time to learn the skill and it also takes time to make it, including the time needed to acquire ingredients. Ain't nobody got time for that, as they say.
Some people are very mediocre cooks. If you want something sophisticated often it's easier not to learn how to make it, not to look for ingredients, but to buy it. It's very easy to make pizza, but you have to prepare it before you get it. Making sushi is not to difficult, but it's not easy to get proper ingredients. I make pizzas, but I buy my sushi.
