I can't tell you how many times I've been in a flea market and wondered what kind of power turds like this one actually made and what they looked like inside. I love when you do videos like this one as much as I love your regular videos. Thank you Big D.

As usual, I commented before watching the video. After watching the video I found it to be quite shocking.⚡ Being in the business for over 30 years. I never came across an amplifier that was that size that put out such a small amount of wattage. I was guessing from the size and the fuse. 75 watts per Channel of junk. The outcome and the view of the interior was really something for me.
Many of the newbies out there should be thrilled that there is a man like Big D that is producing these videos. Putting them up on TH-cam to gain a free education.

I'm not talking about now when the product is decent. I'm referring to 35 years ago, when it was garbage. There are many that get fooled buy a name, apparently.

I've bought a couple flea market amps in my life. 2 were decent. They probably didn't make close to rated power but they pushed my 12's enough that I liked it. One was called Nitro and the other was Koiiler. Both said 2000 watts but were probably 250 watts.

Similar story here. I had finished most of my first system out (Kenwood head and EQ, epicenter, MB Quart all around, Punch 12" subs) and ran out of money. No amps! So I had to get a temporary four-channel to run the highs until I could get something better so off to the flea market. I picked up a cheap garbage chip amp that (barely) got the job done for a few months until I had saved up enough to get a pair of Alpine 3554 amps. That amp had a lot of noise problems and I was surely glad to be rid of it.

I really miss the old under dash graphic equalizers. Forget the power rating, the lighted slides and bogus VU meters always looked cool at night. And changing the EQ setting from one song to the next was always a plus.
Problem nowadays is that you have no under dash to put one, unless you want to bang up your, or your passengers' knees.

I was ripped off as a teenager with one of these I spent a weeks wages being a dishwasher and bussboy working hard long hours for one of these and when I hooked it up(I wanted 4 chan for my highs anyways and was going to add a subwoofer later. The factory stereo put out more power and bumped way harder than the flea market trash. To rub salt in the wound, 2 of the channels were wired backwards causing bass cancellation making it sound worse if you hook it up the way the amp said to. This caused my family to ridicule me and cause me to think about my life a little more and spend my money more efficiently instead of wasting it on amplifiers and speakers. This amp uses chips from a tv amplifier. I seen someone building one of these out of a trash 90's television set sitting on the side of the road.

so for a 4x40 watts amp on 2 ohm
wil fits in the 80/90 Amps .
like the old Pioneer with 35watt Amps
its a shame that the power supply really kill the amp performance .

that is a class b chip so your dyno probably stopped earlier than it should have. according to the datasheet it should be making 25w at 2ohm with 14.4v in and 0.5% thd. it is a 4ch chip but they running it in btl mode which i am not sure why they doing they could have easily got away with one chip powring all 4 speakers and made more profit it would have not made a tiny bit of difference to the value of this amp.
even headunits from the time had more power. like the early 2000 headunits made 10-15w per channel at 4ohm. after 2005s they stopped at 20w per channel at 4ohm and 40w at 2ohm before sony decided to use class d and make 50w at 4ohm and 80w+ at 2ohm from headunits. followed by pioneer only releasing two models with that same class d chip found in sony mex xb100bt , 120bt and the gs80.
while these manufactures have downgraded the class ab models. in 2010s they were using more advance and expensive chips. these days all use the same toshiba TCB502HQ and it can do 40w at 2ohm but the headunits don't seem to have enough heatsink and it gets very hot if you have the bass cranked up .

When reading commentary not only on audio equipment but other subjects it's so disappointing to see how ignorant our population has become. Considering everyone is walking around with a computer in their pocket. Access to the world, they still can't get things right? Getting Dumber as time goes on.
