If you had people in Plymouth, we may have ancestors in common. There’s an excellent book called “Mayflower” about the Pilgrims and the growth of the colonial Plymouth through the end of King Phillips’ War. I also had ancestors in New Amsterdam at the same time. Oddly, most of the ancestors I know about are from the Netherlands and surrounding countries, but my DNA expresses 35% Irish, some Welsh, Scots, English, Scandinavian, Iberian, and all of 0.9% Nigerian.

In terms of Y-DNA, Koreans have at least 3 genetic groups (Y-DNA Haplogroup C, O2, and O1b2). Japanese have D, O1b2, and O2. In other words, there is no such thing as a unique Korean DNA. Haplogroup C is common among Mongols, Manchus, and Turkic people. Haplogroup O2 is most common among Northern Han Chinese. Haplogroup O1b2 were Japonic speakers who lived in southern parts of the Korean peninsula.
Your report was super diverse and interesting. You should have your parents do one too just for fun to see what you get from which parent. It can be fun researching your ancestry seeing how far back you can trace it
It IS fun to see where we've come from ... when I did mine ( live in Boston, MA, USA) , I was a mix of 97% English, Scottish-Irish-Welsh and 3% Swedish. Also was contacted by a 4th or 5th cousin (related by great-great grandmother) in England. We had some stories about our known ancestors going back to the late 1800s, - my great uncle who lied about his age at age 16 to join the Canadian Expeditionary Force and was killed in WWI, and a great-grandmother who was accused of throwing her husband overboard on a mid-atlantic voyage to settle in Australia - she didn't want to go.) but she had even more information about the English side going back to the 1700s - the family was poor and in the business of making nails...
Ever since I was about 4 years old ( and 78YO now) I have held a deep fascination with Japanese silk and al its different weaves/textures. I used to tell people who asked why, that "I could feel it in my bones." I did a dna about 7 years ago and learned that I have a 1% japanese/mongolian gene and had a distant grandmother of that ethnicity about 1750 AD. The love of silk really was in my bones...I believe that person was probably in the silk trade and passed it down to me.

You inherit 50% of your DNA from your mom and 50% from your dad. Those 50% can differentiate between you and your sister as well. And maybe it didn't show native American because none of your native American distant relatives have done that company's or any DNA test.

Gosh... I don't know the background of how That Korean whose gene found in your uncle's bood ended up in the country far far from his own country. As a Korean I feel so sorry for him. I just hope his or her life there had been a good one. Rest in Peace.
That is amazing. You’ve convinced me to check my ancestors too😊
I am Bulgarian, probably we have some common genes from the nomadic times of the Proto-Bulgarians. You look like Bulgarian, except the slanted eyes, it's a pretty huge percent Japanese and Korean and I think it's great!
you have that manhwa/manga face, its unrealistic in the best sense of the word. It doesn't make sense for me to blush while watching somebody talk on youtube. It's totally a crime to be this handsome 🤣🤣
I LOVE HEARING YOUR VOICE ♥️😭
I've always been interested in my ancestry too. Yours is fascinating, no wonder you're so handsome Masha Allah! 🥰
I'm British of Nigerian , Egyptian and Turkish and Mali empire heritage. When I did my DNA testing with 23andme (I like that it keeps updating my ancestry report, the more their database expands. It revealed some more African countries and Eastern European / Italian and Middle Eastern countries & some neanderthal DNA. No Eastern Asian (my family thought I'd end up having some Chinese or Korean 😅) nor American DNA.
Many Germans are actually germanized Slavs. Welcome to the family 👪
BTW ...You are 100% handsome :)
It's actually exactly the opposite. Lots of Slavs are germanised due to German, Normandy occupations from the history.
OMG!! Wait a minute.. I'm watching this Thai lakorn called "Nabi, my stepdarling" & I've seen you in it!!!! ..Are you really him?? YES, it's you! Wow.. I've accidentally found your channel, it was in my recommendations!! Your are really good actor👍.. Keep it up Luke!🙂
I'm planning on doing a DNA test one day. The only thing I know about my DNA/heritage is that I'm Polish (my grandmother and all of her family is from Poland).
I die everytime he smiles and then came back to life again
It's so cooool! You have Finland there also whaa😂
I am a fan of yours Mr. Luke!
I will keep on supporting on all your projects.Stay safe and healthy always😊
He went to college in George Washington University, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from 2014-2017. ahhhh That's why luke is very Excellent explaining the % things 😂
So what is your point? 🤷🏻♂️We know his schooling. He is literally explaining what on a screen.
@@MrWmJosephSmithIII what ? does it necessary to explain my point? I'm simply saying luke is good explaining Data and Percentage . if you know his schooling then great but not everyone is you haha
Luke, no worries. You didn’t offend anyone intentionally. Your DNA results reminds me of my daughter’s results. She’s half Asian and caucasian American. Looking at the world map, yes it was all over from west to east. You both are fine. All the best in your future.
I have a mix blood with manchu japanese and kazakh👌 I’m Kazakh :)
Those are pretty genes from both sides.
Hey, Luke.. I'm happy to find your channel. I'm really fallen for your performance in Nabi, my Stepdarling and wanted to see you as a male lead. Finally, glad to see you in 'Oh My Boss'. Dream come true (to me) 😄😄
You know something, I didn't listen to you what you are saying just watching you is enough 😋😋
Lots of L💞ve! Keep going 👍
Hoping to get a reply! 😊
Ive always wanted to do one of these. My older sister did one and it was English(England), German, and Irish. My mom and dad both have Native American on their side of the family so I'm surprised it didn't pop up within her testing. Hopefully I can do this one day 😁
Lots of white folks who claim to have Native American ancestry are shocked when they find out that they have zero/0/zilch indigenous blood are pretty common nowadays thanks to genetic testing.
You inherit 50% of your DNA from your mom and 50% from your dad. Those 50% can differentiate between you and your sister as well. And maybe it didn't show native American because none of your native American distant relatives have done that company's or any DNA test.
@beomgyusthighsofsteel6651 I literally just done this test in January and all of my sisters have done it and can definitely tell you there was no native American 😅😅 my mom said that both my grandma's were so I was expecting something but maybe that's wrong idk 🤣 my coworker said the same thing.
Well not this one but ancestry dna
WoW!!!
Gwapo ka na

You gained such international traits...
Such a lucky guy...😊
Luke has some pilgrim heritage? Dang bro. That's white white. 😆

I'm not surprised that Korean came
I love the mix…you came out well! Here in Hawaii…everyone is mixed! My children are Hawaiian, Portuguese, Japanese, English, Irish, French.
Unrelated, but when will ‘Oh My Boss’ air? I’ve been waiting for a WHOLE year 😭
