    I read on my Scribe almost everyday but I rarely use the note talking capabilities. My handwriting is illegible on normal paper and the Scribe faithfully reproduces it. For grins and giggles maybe I should try to write some thing and see how well it converts.

    I wonder is the scribe will come with a voice to text feature. A voice to text feature would be handy as well. Especially for people with low vision.

      Voice to text is huge, yes. I wish regular kindles had this, even if requiring wifi as a cloud function.

    So I just finished up all your kindle scribe videos and well you sold me one on the very first video, even though your not a fan of it. So this device is built for me and people like me we are the target audience I believe. So I had smaller Kindle in the past, gave up on them. They were too small for what I needed.
    Fictional or non fictional books if they are on Audbile I will just listen to them. I always have a book going there. I listen 1-2 mainly fictional books a week on Audible. However, I go through 4-5 scholarly or technical books a month. So I am a computer programmer, I read computer language books, certification books and manuals. If you buy these books in print they are 7 x 10 inch page sizes, they are filled with computer code and examples. Most of the time I read these books in a book sitting at the computer. So it is in a stand, or laying flat on my desk. I have both hands completely busy. So a kindle this size I would probably never hold in my hand while I am reading the book. These books are also extrmely cheaper in Kindle format. However due to Kindle smaller sizes these were not worth it.
    Then Also I am a musician, I play both guitar and Piano. There are lots of sheet music books, manuals, music theory books all with diagrams and things. Again if you purchase these that are 8 x 12" book size. You can have sheet music downloaded in PDF along with other things. I am curious if there are blue tooth foot controllers that can change pages as you are playing an instrument. Again completely hands free, the kindle will be on a music stand or something and needs to be readable hands free and from far away.
    Also I do wood working, and there are books on plans and thing where I need to see them. Also recipe cook books, having the recipe and instructions right there on a large page These are the kind of books I read and use constantly. This is why smaller Kindle failed for me, there was so much scrolling back and forth and not enough information on a page, not hands free.
    Also the kicker for me to get going on this is I do still get a lot of Actual Magazines in print delivered to me. Well Amazon is stopping handling and processing of paper magazine subscriptions. Which again think of Magazine size. I I went ahead and cancelled all my magazine subscriptions. However through kindle unlimited all these magazines are still available at the included price.
    Anyway thought I would let you know, your videos were great, I know you didn't understand the audience for the device, You still highlighted tons of features that had be sitting there going yep, this is for me, Yep, this is what I want, Also several of your early on wish lists features I was like yes that would make it better but not a deal breaker. This device is definitely for me. You sold me one at the end of your first scribe review and all your updates make me happier with my purchase, it gets here in a couple days. I do believe your right this is not for the average book reader just consuming books. It could be, but this is for the people buying manuals, or text books or hobby books. Something you need to be hands free but looking at documents.

    Have you considered looking into ReMarkable 2 for review? Would appreciate your opinion on that.

    • @Maneetpaul
      @Maneetpaul  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I've thought about it. I personally love the Kindle ecosystem and reading books. I don't want to venture too far into the note taking world. But I might consider it since it's a top competitor to the Scribe!

    • @ridwanslife
      @ridwanslife ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Maneetpaul You are spot on. I think Scribe is primarily for reading whereas RM2 focuses on note-making/taking.

    • @adamrshields
      @adamrshields ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the supernote is a more direct competitor. The remarkable can’t handle kindle books. But supernote has the kindle app for android built in.

    • @shethsa
      @shethsa ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I havr stopped using my remarkable 2 and moved over to the scribe for 2 reasons
      1. Remarkable's paid features aren't available in my country so I cannot sync my older notes (ridiculous)
      2. Remarkable doesn't support kindle books.
      I find scribe, with it's back light a much more versatile and cheaper (vs supernote) option for taking quick notes and reading books.

    • @mscargill1
      @mscargill1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adamrshields but only the Scribe offers 300 ppi screen resolution? And so if you want the Scribe for reading - as most Scribe users must do? - neither the Supernote nor the RM2 (nor Note Air 2) can deliver that.

    Can you draw on notebooks and then copy/paste to sticky notes? This will be a crazy stuff for drawing characters.

    • @Maneetpaul
      @Maneetpaul  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      From what I can tell, cut/paste only works within the same page. That would be a cool idea though! EDIT: I was wrong. Cut ad paste works across everywhere on the scribe!

    • @fapstronaut3671
      @fapstronaut3671 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Monoxddddd yes you can, theres "clipboard" function that does pretty much what ctrl+C does on windows, The book (sticky) notes has the same functions as classic notes (those with layouts, or pdfs), so you can write something to pdf/notes and copy/paste to your book notes. Also its not true you can cut paste only on one page, you can paste to different documents. this works actually pretty good. I dont like the layouts though, Im using layouts - pdfs from etsy, but they are in a price range of paper notebooks, its unbelievable ripoff.

    Harware of the device is great but the software on the device is quite poor and less that half baked. I'm on my second device in under a week. Cant make any purchases within the on-device kindle store. The send to email functionality also not working for me. The device is neither cheap, nor is it cheerful. I'm a long time Kindle user but will be returning this as it on the overpriced junk end of the value scale.

    You can definitely make your script more concise. I just hear a lot of fluff. This could've been a 4 minute video.

    • @Maneetpaul
      @Maneetpaul  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I try my best to keep these videos short and to the point. With that being said, if I removed ALL the fluff, that would mean no context, stories, or personal opinions, which would make for a pretty boring video. I appreciate the feedback though and will continue working on this.
