Wtf do you mean? They are not mages, warlocks or sorcerers. They use signs more often, but their gameplan and fighting style is not limited to signs. Quite the contrary, in fact - they still Focus on swords mainly. Signs are not even considered to be a form of magic. Mages LAUGH at the meere mention of the concept of signs. (Source: triss in the books, just to name one) Focusing mainly on them would've been detrimental to a witcher's efficency in the general sense.
I literally just completed that fight around 10 minutes ago as a first time player. I Quen shield staggered him then chopped him, with the occassional fire stream. That was my strat. Great vid, looked great
I don't know how, but I've finished him by using only aard sign, and having master griffin armour. Very fast and very easy on "Death March" difficulty.
Honestly this is awesome. I just got grandmaster Griffin armor and I love it. I don’t know if you’ll want to do this, and it really doesn’t make that much of a difference, but I think it would be cool to see this on the Next-Gen update where you don’t have to go to the menu to use signs. Again, it’s not needed as this is already awesome enough, but it’s just a thought. Also, was it just me or was Imlerith a more difficult fight than Eredin? Like, I defeated Eredin without being hit too many times. With Imlerith I actually died once or twice. Just curious to see
Thanks! Yes, Imlerith did has a surprise second stage attack pattern that is too fast and faily different from first stage after he ditch the shield. Eredin didn't change much of his attack pattern nor Caranthir..

idk man i just finished the game with all light attacks boosts and just shredded everything, on blood and bones, both dlcs as well, now first time ever playing, no doubt this works ofc, its the lack of swing ur sword that is irritating me, its, well ur missing easy hits to run away and do worse dmg lolol but a challange in itself so demands respect so well done brother!
Thanks, I don't know how to reply eloquently at first. But my sword damage from this build is worse that an Igni attack. Plus I don't want to dull my nice sword against the Wild Hunt armor, I wish G can wield a hammer instead to fight these armored plated elf.
I felt this as a fellow griffin set witcher. While the set trivializes most of the game's content. Bosses are definitely not one of them. I reached 80 before I quit my game so I branched out to euphoria back then. Now everything's easy lol.
I also use sign build,i defeated dettlaf with it without using sword Even tho I had enhanced vampire oil and enhanced vampire potion, It’s really powerful but most of witcher 3 gamers don’t know that. And recommendation: if you have like 16k coin,improve your home at maximum rate,if you sleep (even for 1 hour)it boost your vitality a lot like 1000 point and boost your horse stamina,and if I remember it correctly it also improves potion duration and slot All of that for one hour,it’s kinda lot
Sign build makes you overpowered and kills the joy of the game in my opinion.I decided that after roasting a whole castle by spamming igni in yrden circles.
@@bsmaster8493 with the new update, aard with frost hits like a cannon, and igni can do a ton of damage I could normally one hit mobs with an igni blast
Yeah I know, I find it much easier to using my thumb on spacebar than double press wasd, it was much easier to do it when I was younger tho. Need to relearn using the alt button for dodging.

Only average difficultly so might be different for others but yeah some Q shield for a lil extra D make my dodges and hits where it was possible till he was done. Think im using some white tiger relic armor or something? I assume nothing special but it is my first play through....
Yarden looks so pretty lol back in my third play I modded GM Griffin attributes to my white dyed viper armour everything looked so nice and pretty pretty 😂😂

yeah one of the reason i hardly like sign//magic build in witcher 3.. its alright but nothing special and kinda troublesome.. you even use mutation and kinda normal.. i usually just build alchemist+swirl (if i remember the name correctly, its been awhile since i play) swirl with 3 slot weapon with extended swirl rune its really waaay to OP combined with mutation of Euphoria Euphoria, increase dmg by sword or sign depend on lvl of toxicity, i think its nerfed, early blood wine game, i think i reach more than 100% dmg idk maybe even more than 200%, need build alchemist tho.. crit through more than 10k dmg (forgot exactly) if sign build, why not pick "Piercing Cold" its most OP sign build, literally one kill any enemy, even late game.. 25% chance freeze, and if its knocked, auto die by game default.. (not work with boss like this) but still can dealt thousands of dmg instead of 500 dmg fire hahah
Well this is 1.31 version.. skill tree is 5/5 skill points and piercing cold has no effect on Imlerith. Will make another recording when I managed to reach Imlerith. Doing a clean run and managed to clear Velen now in my spare time.
@@LeonarldoLaurence Ohh did imlerith immune to piercing cold dmg? I didnt know that, i thought it will still deal more than 2k dmg per cast aard.. Its most op magic built.. U dont have to restart from beginning to try, just load ur lastest save from imlerith and use potion to restart skill point.. Also Euphoria is great for magic built as well.. Just invest in alchemy a bit, i forgot what it was but it suppose to extend toxicity limit, Make. Euphoria more than 200%.. With that magic is waaay more efficient, like guarantee burn chance with igni, more dmg on aard, more hp shield on quen. Using magic crit isnt deal that much anyway..
With grandmaster Griffin set, this game become so easy for everything. The set is too OP in fact. I can cast the Igni sign almost none stop. It can easily stagger any opponent out there.
But not all creatures are vulnerable to burning.. and it is a high level play. The set is powerfull, but not too OP, compare to Euphoria Vampire Build.
Hate the fact that when he says the "You fought bravely in the ruined keep" line, the dialogue is muffled by the soundtrack and other audio. Same thing even in 9yo gameplay. Shame they never fixed that in the next gen version.
Yes, this is before the next gen update. Well I need the tab button to pause and calm my nerves from fighting Imlerith. I get nervous sometimes. Will try another fight with quick casting if its possible for me, but I have erase all my old saves because it somehow didn't work on Next Gen.

Its just pure sign build, Signs from Igni, Quen, and Yrden. Yellow Skills are the Griffin School Techniques, Rage Management, Adrenalin Burst, & Focus. Its not really a good build imho, but it is fun and challenging enough for me. I use Magic Sensibilities for crits on sign attacks.
I have played all types of builds, fun is subjective to you, personally I like them all. I also love sign builds, this guy in the video is slow, look at how slow his Stam gen is, look at the buffs, or lacing of. The problem is not because of sign builds.

You could probably make the shittiest build in Blood and Broken Bones and still be OP

sign build is useless it takes too long to kill someone. If u do just damage u can kill them much faster and easier.

If you able to mix Alchemy and Sign build you can increase the damage of your sign while high toxicity with the Euphoria Build.

At this point just put all points on sword and parry atrack + aard time to time. Its the most cinematic and best way to play
It's either a weak build or you took way too long because of igni. Aard with piercing cold Mutation will finish him off within mins.

Hm. Actually, why you used so many rolls but no dodges? Rolls kinda stop stamina recovery. When max difficulty + autoleveling its kinda critical.

Death March; Griffin is impossible if you are using sword instead of signs. Signs are Griffin primary attack for me.
Does stamina only recover fast when using a sign build?
I run combat and it takes about 38 seconds for mine to refill
combat built uses adrenaline I think..
Plus gryffin school skill also boosts the stamina regen and there are potions to do that as well

I did Blood and Wine first before the Point of No Return. Return back to main quest just as I had a GM.. Dettlaff is still alive at this point iirc.
