As far as I am aware not only did Brüggen stopped playing the recorder in the late 70's or 80's (which is too bad), but he also completely abandoned any relationship with contemporary music. After such an intense involvement, it is quite striking and, I think, yet another anecdote testifying to the global failure of this art in the second half of the XXth century (with exceptions of course). For a long time music was an art without a past (Bach was all but forgotten 50 years after his death). Now it is massively an art of the past.
Right,so many sizes of recorders, you must be a millionaire to have them all in high quality, in different pitch and many of baroque and renaissance kopies .Talent and capabilities are NOT enough !!
I can't actually believe what my eyes are seeing!! Sarah Jeffery is here!!! Wow
Sarah Jeffery is amazing c:
Fabulous doco! Thank you
30:38 = the expression of a violin player, ROFL xD
+ Sarah Jeffery ♥ ^ ^

My personal limitation but for me there are too many annoying noises.
God, I HATE contemporary "music" -.-
Sign: Fundatraditionalist
Klänge für die Irrenanstalt. Mir tun die Instrumente leid…
Das ist Kunst
Das wirkt alles sehr angestrengt, regelrecht verkrampft… Meinen Blockflöten geht es bedeutend besser 😁
This is all a big joke, right?
