Yeah Beck wrote the guitar and bass parts. Recorded them as well for the album. Billy Rymer recorded the drums. Even though Beck could have done that as well lol
I might get strung up for this but has anyone seen GlassJaw on this latest tour or the one prior? I absolutely love them (always will)... But their style has completely changed and the "effort" that appears to go into the performance doesn't seem there. I know they're not extremely young and going to lose their minds anymore on every show but has anyone heard a reason why? Do we know if this could have something to do with Daryl's condition? He seems much more monotone now versus dynamic vocals of the past. Clean singing parts and screams both just seem higher for the most part and a bit more monotone. I was just wondering if anyone possibly knows a reason for it? I'm still thankful they're touring and I got to see them either way.
Yeah Daryl is 42 years old with a family. Also, I read recently that they have made a concerted effort to play the songs more accurately, less stage antics, more focused on the execution of the song itself. I dig it. That means they're planning on being around a while.
Edward - Thanks so much. That is EXACTLY the type of reply I was looking for. I combed through some interviews and couldn't really find much. Thanks again for taking the time to reply and that makes a ton of sense to me that they're going to play to their strengths with age. I wish his vocals were just a little more like they used to be, but that's 100% taste and I'm not mad at the dudes at all, glad to see them back and healthy!
If I remember correctly(I'll look for the interview) he also mentioned never being happier than with the current incarnation. That they don't feel any pressure to record a new album after MC, but that they feel more creative than ever and will be releasing music in one way or another.......so typical Gj!! I suspect we will be getting EPs over the coming years, he said months in the interview, buuuut lets be real, I've been a fan since 01', I know better haha.
Man it's crazy it's already been over 4 years since this release...
That fill @3:33
I got chills
Love that almost 30 years later beck throws a sons of abraham riff at the end
Love the energy. That opening.
daryls killing it!
Damn this shit is hard, where is the carnage
god dang sooooo effin' good!!!!!!!
So good live! Wonder why Daryl held back on those amazing screams, he’s killin’ live, on the album?!
That is exactly what I was thinking!!
Unanimous Arts because somebody told him what you just said .. but the album was allready recorded so he said " good idea, i'll do it live" 💪🏼👍🏼
dear god
Daryl's on fire
Lipss.
Haven't seen Daryl move this much in years...
Daryl’s voice sounds better live on this track
Whoever produced the newest album is not my friend haha
What's the flag behind them? I bought one of those at one of their gigs 'cause it was signed but still don't know what it stands for.
Where’s Manuel Carrero?
Is Billy Rymer on the drums here?
who wrote the bass part in this song? this bassist?
Dhieen I believe Beck Writes pretty much all the instruments parts

they're playing to a click now, so a lot of it sounds _slower_ but more controlled.
