I read cause it was networks kept dropping them. And the actors eventually moved on to other projects (for example: William Fichtner I know moved on to Prison Break). But man oh man. I was pissed when this canceled. This was like my all time favorite show. I still rewatch the 1st season over and over and over again.
It didn’t help that it was originally set as the aftermath of a hurricane where water based creatures infiltrated the town and take over the bodies of town inhabitants through a cloning process. It also premiered right after hurricane Katrina... one of the writers in 2020 said that the time slot the show was in could also be blamed for the cancellation as it was on tv right after Lost.

On twitter I'm asking Amazon Prime Video to do the second season, even though it's been over 15 years. If you want, you can too. Or ask those who follow you if they have Twitter to write to Amazon Prime Video to do the second season. 👍

I just finished wathing this show today and I am so annoyed that it didn't get renewed. And I just have to say this: Evan all around...but especially his laugh at 1:58...oh my God...so adorable 3
Damn Hiatus, this is what ruined it, so many people thought this was axed. Miss the show, it was mighty fine. Too bad all they have is the junky reality tv. =(
