The fog does not insta-kill nor does it just "come out of nowhere", the boss breathes it periodically after a few swipes or so, but i suppose phil doesn't know how patterns work.

Only video gameplay I've seen of that boss is from this, but what it looks like to me is you gotta stay in close to keep the boss from cornering you against the wall, and only retreat when it uses it's breath. That means you have to dodge most of it's attacks which is not what phil wants to do.

If you look at that Cletus fight.. I woulda been getting angry too. I get that a shotgun does spread out, so one shot that missed doesn't mean that all of them would. But Cletus in the Playtation version is known to be a pretty broken boss fight.
Never played Dead Rising before, but just from looking at this footage I learned that Cletus reloads after 6 shots if he's not interrupted. And everytime he's getting shot, he'll move a bit to the side, changing the angle of his shots, getting Phil hit in the progress.
Looks at the title "Tries it" you say? Well I guess he's been in the process of trying that out throughout his whole internet career... and still going.

No, when he starts telegraphing the breath you gotta run a good distance out to not get caught in it.
