Carlsen also challenged Niemann to some games out on a beach to see what the fuzz with Niemann was al about. Niemann got destroyed in those games. Then, about a month later they met in their first tournament.

The actions of Carlsen of (1)withdrawing and (2) resigning on the 2nd move were brilliant. neiman is a phony and an imposter and Carlsen exposed him. The fool neiman never saw these moves off the board coming. neiman completely underestimated Carlsen. All honest chess players are indebted to Carlsen for his moxie and his courage.
There are some incredible statistical breakdowns, and it's just mathematically impossible given how much of a change his play was, how erratic it is, and how no other human in history has had a 5 month change in rank, around the time that we know he started cheating. Also, while he admitted to cheating, we can see that he is admitting to a tiny fraction of the total mathematically certain cheat games.
@izzeww That is exactly the issue, how did he manage to have such a meteoric rise beating every other world champion in history? 200 ELO points within a span of a year and a half suddenly at the age of 17.5. He was not even a 2500 player then but then like someone imbued in him the spark of genius and he outrates everyone in a ratings climb never before seen in chess? Sure if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. Here are some points to consider: 1. He was slower to 2500 than 76% of players in the top 100 that are ranked lower than him(currently ranked 36th), is faster than 8% of them and about the same progression as 16% of them. Virtually all(barring a couple) players who were slower or the same as him were ranked lower than 70th in the world. 2. He was slower to 2500 than 94% of players that rank higher than him who beat him on average by about 2.5 years to the mark. Within the top 20 the average age of hitting 2500 is about 14 which is more than 3 years faster than Neimann. He is as fast as 3%(1 player) and faster than 3%(only by a few months). 3. His trajectory mirrored that of a player ranked no higher than 80th in the world(~2650 at their peak) UNTIL he hit 17 years and 7 months old where he sky rocketed to 36th covering 200 ELO points in record time, faster than anyone else in history(1.5 years). This is not only abnormal it is downright suspect! People don't suddenly become geniuses at seventeen and a half years old, ALL players that have shown that kind of talent did so at a MUCH younger age. The average age of players in the top 100 hitting 2500 is 15 - 16 and ALL players(in top 100) slow down in their progression significantly by age 17 such that their progression thereafter very very rarely exceeds 50 points(100 max) but this guy progresses 200 points? If you consider the above points AND the fact that he has been caught cheating in the past, partnered with a known cheater, while there were serious statistical anomalies never before seen in chess in his OTB game play(since he crossed 2500), you would have to be in serious denial if you didn't at least accept that there is a strong possibility he has cheated. There is simply so much going against him here that it would be some kind of miracle if he hadn't cheated. So I'm sorry, if it walks like a duck quacks like a duck then it probably is a duck. I reserve the right to call it a duck if that is what I see. Not talking about condemning the guy, not until we catch him in the act but make no mistake, we will very likely either catch him in the act or he will probably drop to about 2650, which is where I think his natural ability lies, while there is still a possibility that he isn't even that good depending on the level of cheating he may have engaged in. By cheating as he probably did, he expedited his rise to and then above 2650 by over a decade. Most players don't hit their peak until after their late 20s. If he has any sense in him he wouldn't cheat anymore and drop to his natural level which hopefully isn't too far off where he is right now that it sparks concern(50 points).

@@michaelAnonymousthe tournament has high security and metal detectors so it basically impossible its more likely someone leaked magnus opening prep to him
It was never proven that he cheated against Magnus. People just blindly sided with Magnus and Hikaru because they like them. This was one of the most disgraceful and disrespectful moments in chess history. It showed the extreme corruption of the chess elites and showed how far they will go to gatekeep. They are so egotistical that they can't accept the possibility of getting outplayed by someone with lower ELO even though that has happened hundreds of times throughout history. When Magnus was 8-12 years old he beat a whole bunch of people who were much higher rank than him at the time. Same with Bobby Fischer. So it's only possible when people you like do it, when it's people you dislike then it must be cheating. Pathetic.
I agree, but at the same time. Hans Niemann did win all games against Magnus, that has never happened in many years. Usually there is a draw or something. That's very sus for being a up and coming player Hans also moved his pieces very fast even in the hardest positions according to Magnus. Magnus has probably played lots and lots of cheaters, Hikaru too. They are pro and understand when something is off. Hans also proceeds to loose to everybody else, but beat Magnus flawlessly. I am sure Magnus went though the games and looked at mostly everything to see where he went wrong, and in that moment he probably found out that Hans was cheating. Another sign was how Hans talked about chess. He did not explain well at all. Also, it's not unherd of or unusual that people with lower rating sometimes beat people with better ratings. However, people who have done this for years and years will notice when something is up. People have looked into this and analyzed, there is definitely something off. The way Hans also said he was a dumbass and "chess speaks for itself" Seems like a clever attempt to gain attention on the internet, that backfired to him. I was also like: wow, Magnus is a sore loser at first. But Magnus has lost many times, and just recently a new world champ emerged. But he did not call any of them cheaters, so why Hans? Why did he suspect Hans cheating? Well, chess does speak for itself. And whenever someone cheats in chess, they will be found. Because one can only go for so long before everybody gains suspicions
Also Magnus has 3000+ professional games, and 2 of them are "perfect games" according to the computer Hans has a fraction of that and has 10 perfect professional games.. Huh?
I just think Hans Niemann has a mix of ADHD and is extremely enthusiastic about chess! He knows a huge chunk of theory, but I think what distinguishes him from other elite and very strong players is probably a surprising degree of ADHD, I don't know if he ever was diagnosed or not, but I have ADHD and I just feel that he is in that spectrum too, just from many videos I saw of him. That would also explain the times were he intuitively plays very good moves, or at least complex ones and could not remember or fully explain how he got to those moves, I can't count how many times I played a brilliant move just because it felt right, without much calculation involved, and I'm still a bit far from being an expert player, despite my rating being close to 2000 elo, it doesn't even need to be brilliant, it just needs to be good or complex enough to confuse the opponent. That would justify why Carlsen didn't played as well in the classical game he lost against Niemann, because he probably got confused and then started thinking he was probably cheating, etc etc... It's just unfortunate he cheated online, that's what is feeding this cheating scandal/controversy, you name it...
Yeah, certain players are good at making people play bad against them. It’s a quality a lot of people have pointed out in Magnus’s play, I’m guessing even more so for Hans because of his mannerisms, play style, and cheating rumors.
Yeah, because diagnosing strangers on the internet based only on personal experiences and with no medical knowledge is the best way to view the world. On the other hand, pretty much everything can be explained if he simply cheated.
@@cnhtol1586 This wasn’t clearly stated. The analysis of his past games makes it pretty clear that he cheated in over the board games for a while. He had a month where he was playing chess better than anyone in the world. If I remember from the analysis the only comparisons were Carlson and Fischer. I am doubtful that he is cheating now and it is impossible to prove with certainty that he was cheating then, but it seems very likely.
You can't do that in over the board game. Organizers check all players using metal and electromagnetic field detectors before, during and after the matches. No way you could smuggle in any device for this reason. But even if you did, there is a 15-30 minutes delay in live broadcast, so noone could help you out from the outside world. And when you get to the endgame, you have to make decisions in split seconds and cheating is impossible playing that fast. I know it became a trend to assume he cheated when he beat Magnus twice, but noone seemed to care about the facts I mentioned above.

@@lajinmark2084 Honestly at the start of the tournaments like sinefield cup there were not much checkings as per Hikaru in early days but after Magnus confessions regarding Niemann there has been tremendous improvement in checking so video which has been put regarding checks is after Magnus confessions. There are mainly 3 reasons why all players were suspicious regarding his board games were: 1) His analysis after each match. 2) He beats magnus in a game where magnus has not played that line in the entire career, when hans was asked did you prepared this line the guy says i was lucky i opened today morning and prepared this line for the game which is again suspicious. 3) Many games where he has played better than bobby fisher and the game against abhimanyu mishra where he traps the king concept is too high level again where only stockfish could have made those moves don't know how abhimanyu survived for such long game. Regarding analysis from Hans again he don't know why he made those moves funny. He is really 2500 rated player i believe but not more than that before 8 months. Yes, he's admitted to cheating online. Okay, not to excuse it or minimize it, but so have many other players, even titled players on, for example, Titled Tuesday. The incident with Magnus was in an over-the-board tournament, and there is zero evidence -- other than Magnus's strong opinions -- that Niemann cheated. So, forgive me for trusting common sense, but I don't see how he cheated. So, to my naive mind, Magnus was in the wrong for besmirching his opponent without any sort of evidence. That to me is the more shameful act. A game is a game, but a man's reputation matters more. So, shame on Magnus.
Hans is a great chess player. His FIDE elo speaks to that. He is unfortunately really bad at PR which doesn’t help him. Again, innocent until proven guilty is how the law works. Seems like popular opinion has taken over facts and slander is content.

I think the issue Magnus has is that he thinks that of all people Han's would actually do it.

Once a cheater always a cheater. Niemann obv cheated.
nice vid! music just a little loud
This video showes only half the story. Niemann had suspicious results already when gaining the gm rank. There is a long list with suspicious games. Especially against Nepo. Carlsen also challenged Niemann to some games out on a beach to see what the fuzz with Niemann was al about. Niemann got destroyed in those games. Then, about a month later they met in their first tournament.
Boy, u make it seem like they had evidence for Hans cheating against Magnus??? Don’t conflate over the board with online, there is no evidence that he cheated over the board!!!
Very strange moves for a 2700 rated player. Plus he has a history of cheating? Hmmm...idk man. Carlsen, Hikaru and Caruana sense something fishy?
@@coffeetalk924 thats still no evidence

The actions of Carlsen of (1)withdrawing and (2) resigning on the 2nd move were brilliant. neiman is a phony and an imposter and Carlsen exposed him. There are some incredible statistical breakdowns, and it's just mathematically impossible given how much of a change his play was, how erratic it is, and how no other human in history has had a 5 month change in rank, around the time that we know he started cheating.
Also, while he admitted to cheating, we can see that he is admitting to a tiny fraction of the total mathematically certain cheat games.
there are only 3 players in the world rated higher than Hans ..who are younger as i write this
@izzeww That is exactly the issue, how did he manage to have such a meteoric rise beating every other world champion in history? 200 ELO points within a span of a year and a half suddenly at the age of 17.5. He was not even a 2500 player then but then like someone imbued in him the spark of genius and he outrates everyone in a ratings climb never before seen in chess? Sure if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.
Here are some points to consider:

"What I am gonna explain will make 99% of GMs idiots", but then he's not able to explain his moves.
That's very sus for being a up and coming player
Hans also moved his pieces very fast even in the hardest positions according to Magnus.
Also Magnus has 3000+ professional games, and 2 of them are "perfect games" according to the computer
Hans has a fraction of that and has 10 perfect professional games..
Huh?
Pathetic?And where is Hans now?
Cant even beat an im back in rapid wcc

Fr the leading theory tho for atleast chess experts is that someone from magnus team leaked his opening prep to hans
Yeah, because diagnosing strangers on the internet based only on personal experiences and with no medical knowledge is the best way to view the world. On the other hand, pretty much everything can be explained if he simply cheated.

Well said. It’s not out of the ordinary at all for a prodigy.
statistical analysis is based on backward looking data. That only proves possibility based on previous games recorded. It cant predict future.
As a novice chess player, please tell me how you cheat in such a high level environment? Not that I doubt he cheated but how the hell do you do that?

There are mainly 3 reasons why all players were suspicious regarding his board games were:
1) His analysis after each match.
Now he can be 2700 rated with lots of practice. Only Hans at then end of the career can say how he made those moves it will be surely a breathtaking moment for the mankind.

Yes, he's admitted to cheating online. Okay, not to excuse it or minimize it, but so have many other players, even titled players on, for example, Titled Tuesday. So, forgive me for trusting common sense, but I don't see how he cheated. So, to my naive mind, Magnus was in the wrong for besmirching his opponent without any sort of evidence.
