Pokemon Mystery Dungeon EOS isn't just a great game, it's almost an experience playing it for the first time. Getting attached to your Guild members and your partners, the great storytelling with fantastic lore, and experiencing the heartbreaking ending after battling Dialgia and hearing one of the best final boss fight themes of all time really make this game something special. I loved every moment of it, so I really hope a remake of this game has the same amount of love and care poured into it (which I'm sure it will)
I don’t really care if it’s just remastered. I want it on the switch. Just don’t fuck it up. That game is a masterpiece. One of few that has ever made me cry.
Yeah I'm the same. One of the few games that actually made me tear up. Idc if its remastered. But release it on eshop like they did with red and blue on 3ds.
Taking into account that Spike-Chunsoft insists on making the same mistakes they did with Gates to Infinity over and over and over again, they'd be screwing the Poochyena if they ever remade Explorers of Sky.
BrummGurke bruh I would love a Spinda episode like how it went from DX to Explorers considering the spinda from Red And Blue rescue team is the same from Sky and I think Wynaut and Wobbufet also are the same I would love an episode on those 3
@@kainthedragoon8081 one thing I appreciate about Super was that it stealth confirmed all the adventures in other Mystery Dungeon games all are in the same universe
If EoS gets remade, the is ONE thing that I want to see changed. When entering a dungeon in the dojo, heading off to (shudder) Zero Island, or anyway that you need your bag to be empty; the game either should automatically place all your stuff in the storage or, even better, temporarily remove everything from the bag and give it back along with the goodies you've collected when you exit the dungeon.
Rescue Team DX already made this fix. Purity Forest allows no items in it, and acts much like Zero Island South. Red/Blue Rescue Team just vaporized your items, but DX just drops them all into storage and puts all your money into the bank upon entry. They would also likely change the Marowak dojo to act like how they changed the Makuhita dojo, which is a change I welcome wholeheartedly considering how useless it felt before the change.
The thing I'm feeling while playing Rescue Team DX is that the more i play it the more I want an explorers remake in the same style. I would just love to see the explorers games in this art-style.
Hot take; I dont Yes i never played PMD1 (shame on me but i finally do with PMDX) so i cant say how it handles this, but PMD2 is IMO too dark to fit this artstyle. Or rather, those moments where it gets dark, i.e the Future. It would just look lik ethe game aint taking itself serious
Pokémon mystery dungeon explorers of sky is my favorite Pokémon game. I Would love to have a remake but also... how can you improve something that is already a masterpiece 🙌 unless...they make a sequel to explorers of sky in the same pixel graphics 👌
@@NintendoBlackCrisis I dunno. I could imagine a few things I would love to see in a remake. The biggest one I can think of is the different bows, scarves, helmets, glasses, etc. actually have their own cosmetic look. Gives a little extra for players to collect, and customize their pokemon. Granted it has a few issues (Like the file size if it's cosmetics for every pokemon...) but I think it could be done.
While explores of sky is great and definitely my favorite pokemon game it's not perfect. Adding some of the quality of life changes from super/Rescue Team DX like the better partner AI or the new way link moves or other changes like that work would definitely improve it's gamplay. As for the story they soudn't change what's alrady there, but mabye they should add some more special episodes I want a chatot special episode.
My main concern for a remake is honestly the music. I think they’re smart enough to not touch the story, but remastering the music is... frightening to me. As far as Rescue Team DX, I felt like some of the music lost its intensity, with Monster House standing out to me as the most toned down. I want songs like Amp Plains, Temporal Tower, Temporal Spire, Through The Sea of Time, and Dialga’s Fight to the Finish to keep their intense, holy-crap-this-is-important feel.
YES! I've had the same disappointing experience with the music in the new DX games. Like entering a monster house or boss fight and expecting goosebumps from the tension the music creates, and then barely even distinguishing it from the normal tunes in the dungeon :(
@Steven Martinez I agree, I wasn't a fan of a lot of Xenoblade DE's new tracks but the game lets you switch to the original tracks making it a non-issue
I played Explorers of Darkness so many years ago now, and just hearing that soundtrack again instantly reminds me of it. It’s incredible that I’ve attached so much emotional sentiment to the music! Shows what an amazing job they did :)
It was more of an issue with remakes in general. I was just pointing out how the main series has suffered from this problem as well. Should have worded it better though :]
NintendoBlackCrisis makes sense. Though I personally found some of the recent games in the main series challenging. Though, that’s probably because I held myself back on grinding. ORAS gave me a very memorable champion fight where we were both down to our last Pokémon, his could definitely one shot mine, while mine could maybe take out the rest his his’s HP. I won but that moment felt like a Wild West gun draw. Sun and Moon was challenging but got easier in the later parts. USUM was the most challenging main series Pokémon game I’ve ever played. And I actually almost lost the fight against Champion Leon in SwSh. Like I said, You can give yourself a good challenge if you refrain from excessive grinding.
when Dialgas fight to the finish came on, i paused the video, pulled up the song, and just vibbed to it. One of the best songs out of a video game in my experience. it never fails to get me hyped
I would love a ranger game on Switch but to make it work how it did on the DS the game would only be able to be played in handheld mode since you needed the stylus to circle pokémon
The dungeon series is sooo good they just need to find a way to revitalise dungeons. The idea of playing as a pokemon is so much better in some ways to me The Whole point of mystery dungeon is to explore and enjoy that so they should make it better in as many ways as they can, making an auto explore mode is basically defeating the purpose of your game
I used auto mode on the final stretch to the Grandmaster rank. After I make my Pokemon so strong, I feel like I deserve to think a little less. Actually, I might add auto mode is actively a bad idea in the level reset dungeons.
If they have an option to switch between HD Sprites and Models, that would be cool. Imagine explorers with Octopath Traveller's style. (Dynamic lighting and things like that, but with sprites)
I have come to the conclusion that OG sprites should stay in OG games. If you want old Gameboy sprites you should use the older hardware. If you want HD graphics with 3d models, you should use the newer hardware.
@@shuheihisagi6689 Because sprites can look, and perform very well on new hardware. Imagine just how much you could fit on a 2D Switch game- we'd be able to have a game with 7 regions at last.
3:32 that music hit me hard man and brought back so many good memories I wish that if they remade time, darkness or sky they allow a reversion to the old graphics just with new content
Oh and btw, you using music from Explorers in your theory videos is one of the reasons I keep coming back to them. They add the perfect amount of "mystery" in the background for your theories.
@@hugofernandes2347 Honestly, I just looked at that review again and it reads like a bad, off-season April Fools' joke. I thought IGN's Radiant Dawn review was pretty bad, but *good lord,* they've never shat out anything worse than their EoS review.
I'd say Sky would be better, since it has an inbuilt OST player as well as the Special Episodes. Imagine the end of Special Episode 5 in updated graphics.
@@NobleLeader6 plus, they realized the two-game thing the mainline games do has absolutely no reason to exist for mystery dungeon already, none of the games since have had multiple versions, so it makes sense to just remake the definitive version
Before watching: I love the Mystery Dungeon games, as soon as I started playing Rescue Team DX, my first thought was, "Explorers DX PLEASE" After watching: This makes me hopeful!
Glad I'm not the only one excited yet worried about an Explorers of Sky remake. Knowing how great DX turned out I'm confident they'll do great if not better with Sky's.
On hindsight yea I agree with this statement a lot and the good thing is that spike chunsoft are the ones leading this and not gamefreak themselves so I have more faith in not only a great sky remake but also a potential new instalment in general.
My hope for Explorers DX is updating each model’s skeleton so they can fix their animations. That way we don’t get Eevee that feel like they’re skating across solid ground.
I heard a LOT of people not being happy with DX's musice and how it was reeeaally not good with modern audio. As in the same people would have much prefered hearing the music in DX on a Gameboy and not on the Switch. It wasn't touched enough in the transition
Well, yes. Darn, i wanna see Grovyle again... I mean, all the games had a remake. Red, FireRed... Blue is forgotten maybe... Green, LeafGreen... Yellow, Lets Go Pikachu and a rival Lets Go Eevee... Gold, HeartGold Silver, Soul Silver saphirre, alpha Saphire (was it?) Ruby, Omega Ruby And SO ON... So why not a new remake of Pokemon M. D. Explorers of Sky
NintendoBlackCrisis thank you for making this video, explorers of sky is by far my favorite and most nostalgic game, and I personally feel all of your points perfectly sum up the issue of PMD remakes. At first, I also didn’t want to ruin the magic of the original game, music, and sprites because god they’re all so good, but seeing how DX played out and watching this video is giving me second thoughts
Explorers of sky/time/darkness had an amazing story, the music and ending actually had me tear up abit as a kid. Plus the extra pokedex generations which had alot of my favorites
I played Red Rescue Team, EoD, and EoS when I was younger. In sixth grade, my best friend had EoT, and we spent countless hours playing those games together at my house. Its been over a decade now and I need the nostalgia.
I actually think being able to see Pokémon and items until Sky Tower was a good decision. It eases entry for newer players and doesn't really change gameplay for veterans because up until Sky Tower the game is incredibly easy. They remove it in every dungeon in the post-game (which is the majority of the game), allowing players to learn the benefits of having x-ray specs.
That was more or less the purpose to allow newcomers who have never even touched mystery dungeon to not be daunted by having to look blindly like the original and understand that the reason to do so is to find stuff so it’s more understanding to how it works along with post game dungeons taking it away to take what you have learned and challenge yourself.
I think another thing about remakes and what warrants a remake is accessibility. I just did an eBay check for explorers of sky, to get a game card for the DS is upwards of $300 (AUD but still). A remake would cost a mere (again AUD) $70-80, and it would be available in stores as well as the e-shop too, which allows so many more players access to what is arguably the best Pokémon game
I definitely love the fact that they started remaking mystery dungeon! pokemon mystery dungeon time/darkness/sky remake is a must! Love the whole story and all
I hope so! I love Blue/Red Recue those where my childhood and I've never heard of the sequels for some reason! The only other Mystery Dungeon game I played as was Super Mystery Dungeon.
Oh man, Explorers of Sky is considered the best in the series, and for good reason. The music is amazing, the story is way better than in Red/Blue and it's just overall better in every way (this isn't to diss Rescue Team, I love that game too)
The most frustrating change for me is hitting A automatically uses a move. I liked using it to burn a turn to let enemies approach and not waste moves when i didn't want to. Now i am forced to throw the ranged move i was saving for other enemies.
As much as I love this game, I say no. I think the original Explorers of Sky is perfect as is. And finally, somebody who doesn't like the 3D models more than the sprites!!!
Happy Llama I would love that tbh I just want explorers on the switch so I could replay it just like DX I’m glad I can play it on a more up to date console
It just hit me, but when he shows the cutscenes from Explorers of Sky. He is a male Eevee, which is impossible to have, unless you mod the game to make a male Eevee available as one of the main characters.
Or possibly, if you've finished the game and decide to play as a team member you've recruited from a dungeon... but then again I can't remember if that was from a pre-game or post-game scene and depending on that I could be wrong
Will they leave in the exploitable Wonder Mail S system, and the A-button attack? If "yes", then it should be remade. If "no", then it shouldn't be remade. Oh, and being able to see and recruit ALL 895 Pokemon would be awesome - no dropping species. That killed Gates to Infinity, that killed Let's Go, and should've killed Sword/Shield. Same with moves and Abilities - no cutting any.
I hope they make a sky remake. Imagine for a moment, this new amazing DX art style, the leveling moves (without basic attacks), and this new highly upgraded AI. all this combined with the sky story and music. add a few new items and dungeons, make spinda's cafe improvements. (making the gummi drinks takes way to long.) This would be a GODLIKE game, which i'm sure will sell!
The AI upgrade was my favorite thing about the remake half of the difficulty in my opinion was just getting your party to do what they were supposed to and the IQ system was tedious, now I dont have to worry about my partner attacking a sleeping pokemon with earthquake that's across the room, waking it up and having it murder the entire party.
Because it summs up the game as a whole, i think i had over 100 hours playtime on my first account and i always get angry at myself why i didn‘t keep my first team
If a remake of Explorers was made I hope it's handled the same way the original was. It took the flaws of the previous game(s) (Rescue Team) and fixed them, while still adding it's own unique content. The reason they changed the friend areas in Rescue Team remakes is the same (or a similar) reason that they changed it in Explorers. Personally, if Explorers does get a remake, that thing I hope that they change is the limited item storage, honestly, I never got why they did that.
The best things that could be in a explorers DX would be 1: playing as Riolu 2: turtwig partner 3: Armaldo's special episode 4: through the sea of time HD and 5: Sharpedo Bluff HD
I love sprite designs in video games, if they remake this game I hope they give it that dragon quest hd remake treatment. It would feel more nostalgic to play it that way after many years since I had the game.
My idea for Explorers of Sky Remake -ADD FUCKING ARCEUS!!!! -More Dungeons -More Bonus Episodes -Shiny? -Add the Evolutions of Pokémon that existed after Gen 4. (Ex. Sylveon) -Add Regional Versions of old Pokémon (Ex. Alolan Ninetales, Galarian Slowpoke, Sirfetch’d, etc) Feel free to add more if you guys want.
I swear this game was my Childhood and I couldn't believe that a spinoff game had more story and emotional attachment than the mainline game of Pokémon. It was dark, action and aimed at adults and kids. But as for the question, "Should Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky be REMADE?", I think NO. If it was remade according to today's standards, the Pokémon franchise would just babyfy the game and aim it at kids. After the sales of Pokémon Black and White which was made for us adults who grew up with Pokémon, as seeing the sales, the game did not do so well. They took back the decision of ever making a game for adults and will strictly focus on turning the Pokémon franchise for kids. So, the question is...should they make a DX remake of the game? NO! This game was a masterpiece and it brought tears to my eye and should be left untouched.
I was brought back to this video by a recent reply I got on one of my other two comments. This comments section has special place for one of the wholesome interactions I've had on the internet. Unfortunately, the the original comment appears to have been deleted, or I'm just not looking hard enough; but myself and another random user decided to personally test how rescues worked on EoS. We just sent the rescue codes back and forth in the chat. I don't who that other user was, but thank you for making a simple fun memory.
I'd like to see it get remade, as long as they change having to repeatedly sit through Spinda's "Drink Shaking" animation to get Gummi drinks, it slowed the game down so much, and getting max IQ on your team members took forever anyway. If the IQ system has been revamped, that should not be a problem.
I've recently been replaying explorers of darkness, because I when I was younger I didn't play it all the way through and couldn't play it well at all. I've gotten pretty far, way further then I had when I got it, and it's amazing. I wouldn't mind a remake of explorers of sky, the 3d style of dx looks amazing and I think it'd look beautiful. I hope they do remake the game, but I want to complete explorers of darkness first.
This game made me cry. This is literally one of the best stories told through a game. It’s crazy that a pokemon game can do this. I will always love this game
I think another point in consideration of a remake is accessability Links awakening is another great example for this because not only don't many people still have the original gameboy, but also how many of those can actually find and buy the game anywhere? and I think that would be another reason for a remake of explorers. Because yes, many people still have their 3ds or maybe even original ds somewhere in a drawer, but the original game only had the one original production (as far as I know) and the games go for quite a high price if you try and buy them anywhere, let alone know they exist, because Explorers of sky is 11 years old, the amount of people who've gotten into the franchise since then is unimaginable and how many of those even knew Mystery Dungeon as a franchise existed until the DX announcement? And then went out to find this one specific game of that franchise if they were interested in playing any A remake, besides all the other points, would put that game on the radar of a lot more people, especially ones who got into the franchise through DX, and would also allow those people to easily buy and play it
i would say that they should make a new pmd game. like with all the starters. and a storyline that has references to other games sort of how the previous games had references to the past games. there should be some new features. idk maybe if we start some sort of petition to make the game the same difficulty level as explores of sky and red and blue rescue team. maybe the “monster house” can get smthn added to it? or idk cuz the monster house terrified me when i was in like 3rd grade. maybe for the pokémon icon things there should be a feature where you can change your icon to have some sort of design on it but still your pokemon you’re playing as on it still. idk but i really wanna play AN AMAZING STORY, LIKE SMTHN THAT WILL MAKE ME CRY.
Honestly I think that more people should experience Explorers’ amazing story. There’s a reason why many say that Explorers is the best Mystery Dungeon game.
Explorers of Sky is my favourite game and personally I'd love to see a remake. Rescue team was good and the main reason I bought it was to live through my first time playing it again. I'd love to have the chance to play Explorers and feel like it's my first time playing it, getting to experience the story music and graphics for the first time all over again.
This is true, but at the same time most people will be judging the game by the main portion and not the post game. It does take something away knowing where all the items and enemies are on the floor when you're going through the main story.
Yessss!! Please please please I want fogbound lake in the switch art style. These games were a big part of my childhood I know its alot to ask but I believe in pokemon and its subsidiaries
The good thing about the easiness concerns is that these games are not made by Game Freak, so we don't have to worry about their philosophy of catering to the lowest common denominator.
My personal opinion on wanting an Explorers Remake (and the whole "Just play the original" thing) I'm honestly scared of the idea that Explorers might have some of the same issues that Red and Blue had that seem like they would be just plain frustrating to handle, which is the main reason why thus far I haven't tried explorers despite loving DX. - Having to fight late-game bosses multiple times to get them to befriend you, meaning you could waste time and resources going through sky tower like 15 times to get rayquaza to actually be your friend. (As you already said, I'd rather take on a single really hard boss fight that can recruit them in 1 go rather than an easier fight that might take multiple tries) - Apparently, the AI partners in the original were really, REALLY stupid. which.. I really don't want my partner to turn into a liability because their AI is just an idiot unless I feed them enough gummies. - Being unable to play as anyone other than your leader. This is just a fun quality of life thing when you could control any party member and I don't know if EoS has it. - The Buried Relic Music Box, and other such Quest Items. I have no idea if Explorers has any sort of sidequest akin to the buried relic music box, but... The buried relic is already brutal enough without having to have the music box take up an inventory slot and not actually explain how it functions properly. Also, I think that if there's anything that they could add that I think would fix one of the main new issues (though I have a feeling SpikeChunSoft wouldn't care enough to do this).. put in some Difficulty Sliders. Maybe you think that having like 8 partners is ridiculous when it comes to story dungeons and boss fights? hit a slider in the options menu that lets you turn the max pkmn numbers down to a more reasonable number (maybe minimum 4 for the authentic experience and maximum of 8 for the standard PMDDX thing) Or (though again I don't think they'd care enough to do this) maybe a full-on Xenoblade 2 type of thing where you can configure multiple aspects of combat difficulty ranging from enemy damage, health, debuff duration, max party members, etc. and even let players make up whole new challenge runs through it...
I love PMD:DX but man, I long for a remake of the Time/Darkness/Sky series, they were my favorite games as a kid and I would love it remade for the switch.
Perhaps the remake could add a line to Dialga's monologue in the pre-epilogue cutscene that foreshadows the second story. Something like "Your journey is not yet finished." Easy to miss, but still instills a seed in your mind, like how Dusknoir knows so much about the Planet's Paralysis when he's hunting Grovyle.
Goddddd when you played Dialga’s Fight to the Finish as the transition played, I got goosebumps all over, if that isn’t testament to how good this game is, I don’t know what is
I will never forget that time when I finally got to face Rayquaza in Sky Tower, then get 1 shot killed by Sky Attack or Fly (forgot which one, probably fly because he went in the air and was invincible) Dialga was easier for me, damn that was pain and sorrow
I would love a sequel more than a remake, with more special episodes and so we can see what happened after the game and the returning of the older characters as well as an explanation of what happened to Darkrai. A port would be better for the OG because in exchange for better graphics we would lose the risk of this game being ruined for the long time fans, although it would be nice if they could remix a few tracks.
I wouldn't mind an explorers remake, but that game has it flaws (such as, I don't know, flashback flashback flashback?) ,those should be addressed in any potential Explorers remake. New game first. Explorers DX later? Sure, Wynaut.
One thing I would be worried about for a sky remake is the music, the soundtrack for sky was absolutely phenomenal, perfect even in my eyes, blue rescue team had some great ones too (such as Ninetales theme and "Fugitives") and I wasn't particularly happy with the music in the remake so... I don't know, hopefully they do something where they remake the song but you can hear the old version such as the weather trio's theme in ORAS... idk man it's worrying
Please tell me I'm not the only one that got destroyed the first time i fought any boss in this game Also: Considering the popularity of explorers and the fact that DX sold well in japan the chances of getting a remake are high!
I love the watercolor but if I’m being honest, I want explorers of sky to stay more pixelated. When I was 7, PMD explores of sky was actually the first Pokémon game I ever played so i was actually disappointed at the time when not all of the games were like this lol
Some things that could be changed a bit: Keep IQ but improve IQ Groups. Multi open for Xatu box shop Multi dink for Spinda’s cafe Allow the Link shop to relearn Egg moves Automatically deposit items for no item dungeons and dojo’s Update the dojo so it can be used to unlock Tutor moves and find tms for your pokemon (ive essentially ignored it the entire time in the main story, since theres not much if a reason to level up outside of dungeons). Add other mini games aside from Sentry duty Add more special episodes Fix sleeping animations + let us keep the scarves
After playing DX, it’d love Explorers of Sky to get a remake. I do miss the older animations as their was a certain charm to them that 3D models don’t perfectly capture. However, the DX models and artistic style works really well imo. I still prefer the original graphics, but I wouldn’t entirely hate it.
I know I'm really late but the only thing I would want to be fixed is that you should be able to change leader mid dungeon(at least post game I think Explorers is the only one where you can't do that) , the fact that you can spoil yourself on the post game music by using the sky box sense some music is unlocked before you hear it in the story, that you have to empty your inventory manually unless you want to lose your items when entering certain dungeon and the dojo and lastly give us unlimited storage so I don't have to sell TMs because I ran out of space
The only two ways I can think of improving eos is by editing aegis cave (a pain in the ass dungeon), adding online play, maybe a vs agains't other players or a risk-free trading system like the one in the original game, and giving the player to manually control your other party members like the fan made remaster made with sky temple did, other than that, the game is flawless in my opinion

Like entering a monster house or boss fight and expecting goosebumps from the tension the music creates, and then barely even distinguishing it from the normal tunes in the dungeon :(
YES UGH THANK U
-I notice you seem to like songs with a certain motif connected to dialga-
@Steven Martinez I agree, I wasn't a fan of a lot of Xenoblade DE's new tracks but the game lets you switch to the original tracks making it a non-issue
same
Of course Explorers of Sky should be remade.
Exactly! It's such a great game! It would sell like wildfire
hmm bet you did not expect someone 2 months later would say , yea same that game ruled
But I got into competitive in gen 6
The Boswer's Inside Story remake most definitely did _not_ sell like wildfire. This is not guaranteed to work.

Sadly, this guy is right. Sadly.
I played Explorers of Darkness so many years ago now, and just hearing that soundtrack again instantly reminds me of it. It’s incredible that I’ve attached so much emotional sentiment to the music! Shows what an amazing job they did :)
"These games aren't developed by Game freak." *proceeds to worry about if Game Freak would make the remake too easy.*
It was more of an issue with remakes in general. I was just pointing out how the main series has suffered from this problem as well. Should have worded it better though :]
Chun soft is the goat
@@323starlight i would have lost if i hadn't panicked and used a shit ton of revival herbs
323starlight Or just skip like every trainer battle until you need to grind
when Dialgas fight to the finish came on, i paused the video, pulled up the song, and just vibbed to it. One of the best songs out of a video game in my experience. it never fails to get me hyped
I've kinda wanted to see if they could do a pokemon Ranger game on the switch.
Hell Yeah!!! Rangers is super underrated!
I would love a ranger game on Switch but to make it work how it did on the DS the game would only be able to be played in handheld mode since you needed the stylus to circle pokémon
Hedgeman98 The joycons have IR capability so they might actually make a real styler system if they make a new game.
@@Beef_Strokinoff if they do I would really want another ranger game
Retro Sableye omggggg same!
The dungeon series is sooo good they just need to find a way to revitalise dungeons. The idea of playing as a pokemon is so much better in some ways to me
The Whole point of mystery dungeon is to explore and enjoy that so they should make it better in as many ways as they can, making an auto explore mode is basically defeating the purpose of your game
(Dynamic lighting and things like that, but with sprites)
bro I wish every game looked like Octopath, I love sprites so much
I have come to the conclusion that OG sprites should stay in OG games. If you want old Gameboy sprites you should use the older hardware. If you want HD graphics with 3d models, you should use the newer hardware.
@@shuheihisagi6689 That's a dumb conclusion.
@@sebastianlucas704 So is yours, you haven't even explained how its dumb.
Hear that? Thats the sound of nostalgia
Oh and btw, you using music from Explorers in your theory videos is one of the reasons I keep coming back to them. They add the perfect amount of "mystery" in the background for your theories.
Despite what some critics say

@@hugofernandes2347 Honestly, I just looked at that review again and it reads like a bad, off-season April Fools' joke. I thought IGN's Radiant Dawn review was pretty bad, but *good lord,* they've never shat out anything worse than their EoS review.
@@hugofernandes2347 the like and dislike ratio on that video restored my faith in humanity.
The Artstyle is SO great. I really hope that they will remake Sky or Darkness in this Style.
RIGHT?!?
I'd say Sky would be better, since it has an inbuilt OST player as well as the Special Episodes. Imagine the end of Special Episode 5 in updated graphics.
@@NobleLeader6 omg nice point, yes! 😍
Both
@@NobleLeader6 plus, they realized the two-game thing the mainline games do has absolutely no reason to exist for mystery dungeon already, none of the games since have had multiple versions, so it makes sense to just remake the definitive version
Before watching: I love the Mystery Dungeon games, as soon as I started playing Rescue Team DX, my first thought was, "Explorers DX PLEASE"
After watching: This makes me hopeful!
3:30 all rise for the national anthem of epic boss music
Glad I'm not the only one excited yet worried about an Explorers of Sky remake. Knowing how great DX turned out I'm confident they'll do great if not better with Sky's.
On hindsight yea I agree with this statement a lot and the good thing is that spike chunsoft are the ones leading this and not gamefreak themselves so I have more faith in not only a great sky remake but also a potential new instalment in general.
My hope for Explorers DX is updating each model’s skeleton so they can fix their animations. That way we don’t get Eevee that feel like they’re skating across solid ground.
AkaiAzul or salamence flying with half of its body hanging limp, infernape doing the naruto run, etc
I hope they have a special episode for darkrai to expand on what happened
Bro! Like a darkrai episode about his childhood or how he turned bad would be so sick
Im just scared they"ll screw up the music in the Explorers remakes
I wouldn't be; the music in Rescue Team DX is phenomenal.
Oh that sounds good, now im excited for an explorers remake too.
@@NintendoBlackCrisis I'm getting the remake next Friday. I do *not* want to spoil Sky Tower for myself before then.
Do the glitch city remix of dialga theme that would be lit
I heard a LOT of people not being happy with DX's musice and how it was reeeaally not good with modern audio. As in the same people would have much prefered hearing the music in DX on a Gameboy and not on the Switch. It wasn't touched enough in the transition
Always wanted to play Gale of Darkness and would love to see a modern version be released
Same with Colosseum.
As long as they keep up the quality of animations. No small-hop double kick.
Yes! I hate how the side games are virtually ignored by the company and haven't been remade yet
Well, yes. Darn, i wanna see Grovyle again... I mean, all the games had a remake.
Red, FireRed...
Blue is forgotten maybe... Green, LeafGreen...
Yellow, Lets Go Pikachu and a rival Lets Go Eevee...
Gold, HeartGold
Silver, Soul Silver
saphirre, alpha Saphire (was it?)
Ruby, Omega Ruby
And SO ON...
So why not a new remake of
Pokemon M.
I’d prefer an option to disable it but it is useful at times. Shame the original X-Ray Specs have lost their purpose.
I didnt really notice the different
*difference
"Some of the best in the series like Black White"
I love you
Gen V is the best generation.
Can we imagine if they made it like grovyle comes back from the future?
I think another thing about remakes and what warrants a remake is accessibility. I just did an eBay check for explorers of sky, to get a game card for the DS is upwards of $300 (AUD but still). A remake would cost a mere (again AUD) $70-80, and it would be available in stores as well as the e-shop too, which allows so many more players access to what is arguably the best Pokémon game
me: reads title....
also me: SCREAMS YES!!!!!!
#YesSquad
If Sky gets remade...I’m gonna cry from happiness. I love that game so much
i know right that would be sooo good.... just imagine things like special ep.5 with an epic remastered ver. of in the morning sun and in hd.......
@@Dylan_the_Piplup imagine a team skull or a partner special episode
yeah that would be cool......
I definitely love the fact that they started remaking mystery dungeon! pokemon mystery dungeon time/darkness/sky remake is a must! Love the whole story and all
I didn't miss how you renamed Zapdos to Farosh (13:56)
I hope so! I love Blue/Red Recue those where my childhood and I've never heard of the sequels for some reason! The only other Mystery Dungeon game I played as was Super Mystery Dungeon.
The Explorer's series of PMD is beloved for good reason. If you have the means I certainly suggest picking it up.
And finally, somebody who doesn't like the 3D models more than the sprites!!!
it's a miricale!
A new port though with the same graphics would be fantastic
Duke of The dump personally I prefer some models over sprites but then again prefer sprites than models some Pokémon just look better in others
Happy Llama I would love that tbh I just want explorers on the switch so I could replay it just like DX I’m glad I can play it on a more up to date console
I agree
I dont really like the 3d models, its kinda odd to me
The Explorers games were my childhood. I would love to see the game remade.
It just hit me, but when he shows the cutscenes from Explorers of Sky. He is a male Eevee, which is impossible to have, unless you mod the game to make a male Eevee available as one of the main characters.
I didn’t even know you could get Eevee...
Or possibly, if you've finished the game and decide to play as a team member you've recruited from a dungeon... but then again I can't remember if that was from a pre-game or post-game scene and depending on that I could be wrong
It started to go downhill after generation 5.
those were the days...
@@NintendoBlackCrisis to be fair super mystery dungeon had a very likeable partner
I liked x and y because of deathbird
Marsh Scarf Well, *spoliers*, Mew is a very likeable Pokémon.
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is good.
That A-Button thing was my go to, I was disappointed they didn't have it in the newer games.
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, it should.
I hope they make a sky remake. Imagine for a moment, this new amazing DX art style, the leveling moves (without basic attacks), and this new highly upgraded AI. all this combined with the sky story and music. add a few new items and dungeons, make spinda's cafe improvements. (making the gummi drinks takes way to long.)
This would be a GODLIKE game, which i'm sure will sell!
I think one improvement the DX remake had that I want for a sky remake is to remove the gender lock on certain player Pokemon that's all I want
At exactly 3:33 I bursted into tears I can't listen to the Exploreres of OST without crying man
Because it summs up the game as a whole, i think i had over 100 hours playtime on my first account and i always get angry at myself why i didn‘t keep my first team
I just hope they nerf the multi attack moves. Looking at you, Discharge Porygon-Z!
He was such a bitch omg
*laughs in discharging first*
If a remake of Explorers was made I hope it's handled the same way the original was.
You allready can play as a Riolu in the game (i didnt stopped get even tho i dont wanted it)
I now realize that I NEED to see sharpedo bluff in the DX art style
I love sprite designs in video games, if they remake this game I hope they give it that dragon quest hd remake treatment. It would feel more nostalgic to play it that way after many years since I had the game.
Explorers of Time was one of my favorites. I never got to playing Explorers of Sky
Same here man!
I did and is pretty good
Yo if you read this, play it! It is basically the same with so much more additions to time and darkness, it is better than those 2
My idea for Explorers of Sky Remake
-ADD FUCKING ARCEUS!!!!
-More Dungeons
-More Bonus Episodes
-Shiny?
-Add the Evolutions of Pokémon that existed after Gen 4. (Ex. Sylveon)
-Add Regional Versions of old Pokémon (Ex. Alolan Ninetales, Galarian Slowpoke, Sirfetch’d, etc)
Feel free to add more if you guys want.
What I really want is for them to put EOS on the Switch Store so my friends can play it without spending £180 on Amazon
is it really that expensive in the UK??
Emulator
Discreet it’s not the same though
@@wisuland6125 if you're playing it on PC I can agree with that. But if you dont have an iphone emulate it on your phone
Discreet definitely not the same on a phone either. DS is the way to go.
The music of Explorers gives me chills every time I hear it. Its more nostalgic for me than any main line Pokemon game
Iq is essentially gone now they probably won't bring it back
I've recently been replaying explorers of darkness, because I when I was younger I didn't play it all the way through and couldn't play it well at all.
After all i really hope that it get's a remake that it deserves. The game was so good, i literally cried at the end
Dialga's theme hits hard ♥ AND I JUST FINISHED EOS
The unexpected Dialga's Fight to the Finish hit me like a truck. PMD2 always manages to hit me right in the feels
The reason I want a remake is because someone stole my 3ds with the game in it and replacing the game is too expensive plus I will need a new 3ds
Duuude! You're making PMD videos now? I LOVE IT!
Without even watching the video, I can GUARANTEE THAT THIS GAME DESERVES A REMAKE!
I think another point in consideration of a remake is accessability
Links awakening is another great example for this because not only don't many people still have the original gameboy, but also how many of those can actually find and buy the game anywhere?
and I think that would be another reason for a remake of explorers. And then went out to find this one specific game of that franchise if they were interested in playing any
A remake, besides all the other points, would put that game on the radar of a lot more people, especially ones who got into the franchise through DX, and would also allow those people to easily buy and play it
It be awesome if explorer games where to be re made in my opinion :D
i would say that they should make a new pmd game. like with all the starters. and a storyline that has references to other games sort of how the previous games had references to the past games. there should be some new features. idk maybe if we start some sort of petition to make the game the same difficulty level as explores of sky and red and blue rescue team. maybe the “monster house” can get smthn added to it? or idk cuz the monster house terrified me when i was in like 3rd grade. maybe for the pokémon icon things there should be a feature where you can change your icon to have some sort of design on it but still your pokemon you’re playing as on it still. idk but i really wanna play AN AMAZING STORY, LIKE SMTHN THAT WILL MAKE ME CRY.
You can't see the enemies and Items on the map in the postgame dungeons.
My personal opinion on wanting an Explorers Remake (and the whole "Just play the original" thing)
I'm honestly scared of the idea that Explorers might have some of the same issues that Red and Blue had that seem like they would be just plain frustrating to handle, which is the main reason why thus far I haven't tried explorers despite loving DX.
- Having to fight late-game bosses multiple times to get them to befriend you, meaning you could waste time and resources going through sky tower like 15 times to get rayquaza to actually be your friend. (As you already said, I'd rather take on a single really hard boss fight that can recruit them in 1 go rather than an easier fight that might take multiple tries)
- Apparently, the AI partners in the original were really, REALLY stupid.
Maybe you think that having like 8 partners is ridiculous when it comes to story dungeons and boss fights? hit a slider in the options menu that lets you turn the max pkmn numbers down to a more reasonable number (maybe minimum 4 for the authentic experience and maximum of 8 for the standard PMDDX thing)
Or (though again I don't think they'd care enough to do this) maybe a full-on Xenoblade 2 type of thing where you can configure multiple aspects of combat difficulty ranging from enemy damage, health, debuff duration, max party members, etc. and even let players make up whole new challenge runs through it...
Point very well made
Thank you!
I love PMD:DX but man, I long for a remake of the Time/Darkness/Sky series, they were my favorite games as a kid and I would love it remade for the switch.
Sees video title
Answer: ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!
Honestly explorers of sky is so good
Goddddd when you played Dialga’s Fight to the Finish as the transition played, I got goosebumps all over, if that isn’t testament to how good this game is, I don’t know what is
DO MORE PMD VIDSSSSS
I will never forget that time when I finally got to face Rayquaza in Sky Tower, then get 1 shot killed by Sky Attack or Fly (forgot which one, probably fly because he went in the air and was invincible)
Dialga was easier for me, damn that was pain and sorrow
The game of my Life
I would love a sequel more than a remake, with more special episodes and so we can see what happened after the game and the returning of the older characters as well as an explanation of what happened to Darkrai. A port would be better for the OG because in exchange for better graphics we would lose the risk of this game being ruined for the long time fans, although it would be nice if they could remix a few tracks.
If in an Explorers remake, the partner should say your name less often.
I wouldn't mind an explorers remake, but that game has it flaws (such as, I don't know, flashback flashback flashback?) ,those should be addressed in any potential Explorers remake.
New game first.
Explorers DX later? Sure, Wynaut.
I don’t like Pokémon but clicked anyway to comment
I don't get why you would click a video about something you don't like just to comment, but ok
Simone Fazwolf because I like the channel idk you’re not wrong lol and thanks for the heart NBC
Please tell me I'm not the only one that got destroyed the first time i fought any boss in this game
Also:
Considering the popularity of explorers and the fact that DX sold well in japan the chances of getting a remake are high!
3:30 I have never seen an edit as good as this one. It is perfection
I love the watercolor but if I’m being honest, I want explorers of sky to stay more pixelated. When I was 7, PMD explores of sky was actually the first Pokémon game I ever played so i was actually disappointed at the time when not all of the games were like this lol
Some things that could be changed a bit:
Keep IQ but improve IQ Groups.
Multi open for Xatu box shop
Multi dink for Spinda’s cafe
Allow the Link shop to relearn Egg moves
Automatically deposit items for no item dungeons and dojo’s
Update the dojo so it can be used to unlock Tutor moves and find tms for your pokemon (ive essentially ignored it the entire time in the main story, since theres not much if a reason to level up outside of dungeons).
Add other mini games aside from Sentry duty
Add more special episodes
Fix sleeping animations + let us keep the scarves
How's Manaphy going to want goomi? They'll have to change that part if they keep the rare quality system from DX lol
