The point is, players is China are always underrated because the mayority of the players there continuously play in China ONLY. Therefore, a large number of them is not known to the western community and is stronger than the eye can see. Great performance by this young man.👏🏼

I beat he is around 2200 strength or higher on a good day. Definitely underrated. He’s only played in one other tournament from what I’ve seen. I’m not even sure if he’s lost a game yet.

Like GothamChess already explained. It was a technicality and the rules of the tournament allows it. Anyone below 2000 for last board but the "loophole" is if you can find a strong player say 2200 strength but has yet to be rated then you can use him. India team had one too. Next year I am sure the other teams will make use of this loophole though finding strong unrated players will be a challenge (maybe not in India)

You adjust your pieces when it is your move. Reasonable stoppage and no sign of "poor sportsmanship". 2) It was to ask who will be counting moves, since it is fast format of chess, where players do not do that unlike the classical games. In case 50 moves rule happens, when in the last 50 moves no pawn moves or captures took place, then it is a draw, just like a stalemate or 3 move repetition. As a player, you ideally want all rules to be abided by. Also, as a player you have absolutely each right both technically and sportsman wise to try to get the most use of every opportunity, which your opponent gives you.
