Oh and personally, I do not think that most of them are huge problems, as they don’t hurt anyone necessarily. I have a big issue with stans using “hyperfixation” as an excuse for their behavior. Multiple neurodivergent people (people with ADHD/OCD/autism/etc) have come out and said that hyperfixations don’t drive you to the extent that stans say they do. Hyperfixations are just specific obsessions over things, they don’t drive you to model your whole personality after someone/idolize someone to the point they arent human/do any of the toxic things stans do. Saying so only damages the reputation of truly mentally ill people. It’s a lie.
