I used to listen to drill music encouraging sex,money, drugs and violence but my friend who was a Christian he was starting at the time he told me to stop idolizing this guy and I ignored him but he kept at it until eventually I saw how disgusting it was to sing along to their music and now I don't really listen to music except for parody music
I can certainly relate, playing Call of Duty was the FIRST thing I did when I came home from work. Now I come home, make a cup of coffee pray then read the Bible. The desire for more knowledge and understanding of the Bible is my enjoyment now. Pray to God, read his word, you may just find yourself enjoying it as well.

Destroy the idols 2. create a battle plan 3. do it because you love God 4. escape the cage of selfishness and wasted potential / living the path of altruism 5. study on how to turn away from sin and then take the actions to turn away from the sin. 6. don't just remove selfish desires but also have selfless actions 7. remember Gods love and remember how poisonous selfish actions can be 8. live a life of self sacrifice and selfless sacrifice. 9. develop a healthy love for God and a healthy fear of God! 10. Get rid of what makes you forget the flame of selflessness, repentance and change! 11. quit just saying no and actually do something that backs up saying no to the sin! 12. always be looking for what will be enough to repent!

Meditate on Gods word so that when you get those thoughts you have scriptures that will help you fight. As well as run to Christ with your thoughts; anytime you get a thought don’t think about it too long, instead think about Christ.
