Personal notes from video uploader:
"Come on Lift Him Up" is a perfect opener for a concert, literally encouraging you to lift Jesus up from the get-go. O'landa was defiantly a hype man! I gotta give my credits to the announcer too, she had much flavor in her introduction. I wonder if the "MC Hammer" nickname would have stuck if O'landa was still with us today (I mean...she ain't wrong, the great man could MOVE with that choir. I personally prefer the "Hammer" or simply "The Director" of Gospel music.). Also you may notice that picture of O'landa and the choir. That is most likely the live recording of the album if you notice the details of the room they're in. I've posted images of Golden Gate Full Gospel Baptist Church in this video too. Photos are owned by respective owners.
Maaaaaaan I still have the OG CD that my dad bought in the 90's
You got a classic my guy
Reflections was his LAST album before he passed. What a legend.
How he die
Renal failure
Wow! I remember jamming to this album a lot! Talk about memories! I was actually there that day and seen the live performances. It was a free concert too! They rocked the house!
I wish they had recorded video. I would say that on this album the Associates sounded better than they'd ever sounded.
I really remember i used to wear this recording out!...back in the day!...really miss this musical icon!
Geat choir, led by a great director RIH O'landa Draper
Good ole music😀😀
Was Golden Gate where this was recorded
Memphis
What robes they had
The picture in the beginning is a picture from the reflections recording. They wore the same robes for the all about him album.
