Thank you for all these cayenne s videos, you have saved me thousands of dollars, literally. After watching these videos i felt confident enough to even change my valve cover gaskets and it was a success!

You have not drained the oil from the second part of the oil pan!! Cayenne S 4.5 has TWO drain plugs!!! From the second you get another 1,5 - 2L of oil!! Read yourself in some manuals or basic repair stuff before getting your hands on a Porsche!

I watched your video as just a quick refresher before I did mine. I noticed you missed the second drain plug. There are two and not draining both can leave too much oil in the engine once you refill it.

    great vid....
except for the painfully slow pace...
I watched it on 1.75× speed and it still felt slow...

Porsche comes with Mobil 1 and you use Castro? And no prime of the oil filter?

Why do you not drain the second sump as you are leaving old oil in the engine - I only noticed 2 sumps when I was doing the oil change on my 4.5S - it is for oiling when the car is on an incline , but surely it should be drained ?

Ok guys ok but you absolutely should not be making these videos guys ok because you don't know anything about these cars. There are two drain plugs you have to undo. Also you should empty the charge pipes of oil whilst doing oil change

My 05 Cayenne Turbo. I bought it, drove it for a few months then i got a light that says something about oil pressure, came and went for a few weeks. Wife drives car. I decided to change the oil and took off the oil filter and it was unraveled and collapsed inside of oil filter housing. WTF. Now i have a beautiful black turbo with what sounds like loud lifter tick. Guess it could be piston slap but i don't know the difference in sound. Bought a new engine for it and guess I'll be installing it in the spring after winter here in MN.

Hi I noticed that the oil pressure is not registering on the gauge. My cayenne normally is at mid way and now its not moving at all. The engine sounds fine. Wondering what's going on I didn't try to drive it that way.

Purchased a filter from the dealer, as I wanted to see what the actual difference between that and an aftermarket. Side by side, revealed NO difference. Both paper and everything else identical. By the way, crush washer is separate $6, and so is the rubber washer $17!!!. So just for parts, you spend $85 from dealer, and not even packaged in a box. Experiment done and will buy Mann or Mahle next time. PS doing it myself, I got.to see all the screws and nuts missing on plastic panels and replaced them all.
Note: In this video the oil filter looks to be in a different location than on my 956 (09). Also, was not aware there was a second drain plug, would love to know where that is.
