Vintage 1970s Hoover Dial-a-Matic (1149) Upright Vacuum Cleaner

I found this for $12 at the Bargain Box in Yorktown, Virginia a while ago. It did not come with any attachments. When I first got it, the end caps of the brush roll were bent very badly, causing the brush roll to be severely off balance. Unfortunately, the bearings are not in amazing shape because of that. I did not bother to replace them just to use it once and put it in storage, though. I cleaned them and repacked them with fresh grease and called it good enough.
This clean-air design was basically abandoned by Hoover and sold to Panasonic, which is a move that completely changed the vacuum cleaner industry.
