  • Autumn in Kyoto!! Today we spend 24 hours exploring Kyoto in autumn: searching for autumn leaves at 5 must see Kyoto attractions. Make sure to watch in HD!
We go to some of the best viewing spots for autumn leaves in Kyoto- including: Tofukuji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kodaiji Temple, Yasaka Shrine and a special illumination event at Eikando Zenriji Temple. These are all famous places to enjoy fall foliage in Kyoto, that can be feasibly seen within a one day Kyoto itinerary. We enjoy the stunning Kyoto shrines and temples steeped in Japanese history alongside amazing autumn colours. Definitely add these spots to your Kyoto itinerary, no matter the season. The final spot we visit is an amazing illumination event, where the leaves are dramatically lit up for the perfect colours, so stick around for that! We hope you enjoy today’s Japan travel vlog! x

    WHO WE BE:
Hi we’re Theo and Ashley, a British couple who decided to pack up and move to Japan 🇯🇵 We spent a year living in the countryside of the northern prefecture of Hokkaido before moving to Kobe City! We’re documenting our time in Japan by making videos about things we find interesting, without being too serious.

You two truly represent the last great dichotomy of humanity. Seeing the duality of man so perfectly represented in this fabulous Japanese setting not only gives me hope for J-Tubers, but for art and humanity as a whole. As you progress in your careers and lives be sure to share the profound findings that you intrepid travellers unearth on your way through this immense existence you seem to live.

Thanks for sharing. Perhaps you can explore some less touristy spots and remote regions. It is very fun to drive in the Japanese countryside. Tourist spots are that for a reason and are very beautiful, just very much more diffused in the media than the equally beautiful off the beaten track ones. Plenty of organic farmstays as well, if you look for them, that can accommodate you while you tour the country. Perhaps you can even get some sort of sponsorship from the government to promote rural areas and invite new adventures to your life, if you choose to do something about it, of course.

Thank you for the feedback! We don't actually own a car, but we have been looking into renting one and going on some road trips to see some more of the country side!

If I remember correctly, we were there on November 6th, but we were definitely a week early, BUT the timings change every year so I'd reccomend looking at the Momiji forecast to plan your trip!
