hello, I am a hostel student and planning to buy this, can you tell me how long can I store a crate of eggs at room temperature? I dont have a fridge. And will boiling the egg with this boiler also kill all the bacteria?
Hi Anurag, this is a good investment being a student. If it’s winters you can keep eggs out for more than a week but during summers or humid weather you can buy small bunches like 6-8 eggs and can use them within 2-3 days.
You can keep the raw eggs upto a week, but once cooked, you can't keep them for more than a few hours. Also when you keep a crate of "raw" uncooked eggs, if one egg gets broken, it will emit the smell that will invite flies which will cause maggots in the broken egg and then spoil the good eggs next to it as well. So buy raw eggs but don't keep em for long. Also you can look into mini fridges, a even a mini freezer. A freezer is better than a fridge. If you get a freezer, get a microwave oven as well.
Nahin zaruri nahin hai. It is just for the more even cooking as steam goes in through the hole. Generally Bina pin kiye bhi boil kar sakte hain. Electricty bill aapki apni per unit cost se calculate karna hoga. Waise bahut kam hi hai.👍
