Reminder, as it was not that clear in the video. You do the Terminal Overloads to gain rep to then level up Nimbus and those give red borders, not the TO chests themselves. The Patrols are still the most consistent and fastest way to get it done.
Patrols are super inconsistent now for red borders. My nose is bleeding from the amount of heroic patrols, and terminal overloads I did, and still missing 2 red patterns 🤦♂️🤦♂️ once I get them I don't want to see Neomuna agai !!!

Neomuna red borders are probably the most tedious grind yet, you have to hope that the heroic petrol spawn which it hardly does for me and then on top of that you aren't even guaranteed a red boarder.

Took me roughly 6 1/2 hrs to get 4 red border round robins and spirals, + others, 2 mans have been most consistent
Hey anybody watching this, the drop rates got nerfed so you won’t always get a neomuna weapon every time. It’s about a 1 out of 10 chance.

There are a few of you who are concerned with aiming for the 3/3. You can do it on any level, its just a strategy to use and doesnt really hurt or help anyone by doing that. You can solo the activity, as wave 1 and 2 dont have to be completed, just started and no timer on the boss to for those watching this a few weeks down the line. I also mention the Patrol method, which is by far easier and faster to do and you can do that if you do not want to do the 3/3 thing. I hunted for the Patrols and if I saw a 3/3 I jumped in and did it, do it how you want.
Those patrols don’t guarantee a Neomuna weapon. I’ve gotten world drops from them.
The gold ones do, or did for me. Did it 100 times. Only thing I can think of is maybe you don't have all of them unlocked so maybe a world drop happens sometimes in their place? Have you done that quest through Ninbus to get the Round Robin etc. Think the line starts as something zero.

Thanks for sharing and did some of this after your stream yesterday. Also, using divinity bubbles with the heroic bounty for Precision kills counts toward the goal (not that it is too difficult).

I’ve done probably 30 heroic patrols with only one red border dropping for the sniper rifle. I’ve ranked nimbus up to rank 49 and still the still don’t have enough red borders to craft the hand cannon or fusion rifle. I have four fusions and three red robins. These came from doing the quest on all three characters, with one fusion dropping from nimbus in addition to the quest line ones..
Unlucky. I haven’t even gotten one of the sniper yet. And only have 2 round robins to far. Such a grind

Those RNGs are insane. What's the point of a crafting system if you still need to roll your life away before you even get to use it ?
Its how they make crafting “fair” instead of just rolling for a good one

ive done dozens, and i mean DOZENS of heroic patrols and only now i got my first sniper red boarder.
When I go back to destination and re launch it puts me back in the same one.
And now in season 21… cant seem to get any red borders for that elusive 5th red border. Help please advise!

Now how is this gonna work if everyone is leaving instances looking for 3 of 3? There won’t be anyone actually doing the event to get it to 3 of 3.
you can solo it, dont have to complete the first 2. many times i ran in to 3 of 3 with nobody there. You can also do the other strat I mention, which is faster. Patrols.

I’ve had 5 or 6 drop now.
I’m about 78 79 in without a red boarder that’s Terminal overloads alone not including the patrols i between day 1 I got a lot but after day 1 it just stopped altogether
TO do not drop them, the rep you earn from hitting the chests multiple times gets you the Nimbus rank ups which DO drop red borders and once youre level 30, and get the unlock, its only weapons.

The key chest will never drop a red border. The craftable Neomuna weapons aren't on the Terminal Overload loot table.
Never said it did. You get huge rep from hitting the chests, and Nimbus grants you them.

Red borders don't come from TO. You get them from Nimbus when ranking up or the patrol.

I heard that red borders don't drop for the terminal overload chests. Neither of them.
I've also never had one drop.
They dont. They drop from Nimbus. You do the overload chests to get tons of rep to rank Nimbus up.

@@stoneycooper9758 because doing 2 of those Terminals gives you enough rep to level Nimbus once and roll a weapon if you're past 30, as I said in the video.

Do I need to have the lvl 30 upgrade for the left chest to give a craftable weapon? I only got random legendaries and the non-craftable neomuna weapons fro them so far.
30 guarantees a weapon from the engrave from them. Fastest red borders is the other method, the gold patrol.

I had like a solid 2 hour dry spell. It happens, its why I recommend doing with friends so its 3 eyes hunting lobbies
I Have NEVER gotten a Red Border from TO, and rarely get them from the Gold Patrols. so far today ive gotten 1 red border from gold patrol out of doing 10 so FAR ! this is a horrible system bungie has put in place! My rng is so bad ! My rank with Nimbus is 49 so idk whats going on but yea
TO do not drop them, the rep you get from the multiple chest hit levels up Nimbus who drops them.

Assuming a really bad dry spell. If it's patched it wouldn't be the red borders they go for.

Terminal overload does NOT give red border drops, the guns you get out of TO are also uncraftable.
Hitting the chest multiple times gives huge rep to Nimbus, who does.

This is partially bad info....I am 99.999% red borders do NOT drop from Terminal Overload.
they drop from nimbus packages, hitting the chest multiple times gives tons of XP to get those packages.
Fuck this game. Been grinding for the past 8 hours and not got a single red round robin drop.
RNG can be rough, took me a while for mine too, about 15 or so to get all 5. Its week one, its not meant to be done in a day.

delete a character and redo the campaign on normal, guarnteed red bars of every weapon every single run through

Theres a blue mission through Nimbus, from zero... i believe its called as it starts and as you progress it unlocks some of those weapons, you may need to progress that first?

Have you done the from Zero to Hero quest line yet? I heard that they won’t drop until you get at least one of them and that guarantees one. I could be wrong though

I there's thousands of people running them at any given time rn. They get activated by people in the area. You'll even find 3/3 with nobody there. You don't have to even fight until the 3/3 if you want and no timer so you could solo if you like. Since you have some weird issue with this just load into another area on the map and do the patrol like I recommend, its faster anyway.
