At first, I falsely assumed Dr. Pitre would be a Scripture scholar only. I was so wrong! His book on Spirituality is a FANTASTIC introduction to Catholic spirituality I recommend to everyone.
@@gc3563 Please disregard my previous reply. I was confusing this new series on the Catechism with a recently new series on the Roman Rite Mass. I don't know anything yet about the details of this Catechism series. Please accept my apology. God Bless
Side note: I have Dr. Pitre’s Boook “A Catholic Introduction To The Bible” THE OLD TESTAMENT…. It was my understanding that you were 5:36 working on THE NEW TESTAMENT version (before Covid, if my memory is correct) Has it been completed? Is it something we can still anticipate & look forward to? Thank you I apologize if this is not in conjunction with this topic….although, could be highly beneficial for “reference.”
You can try listening to Father Mike Schmitz and His catechism in a year podcast. I believe it's on TH-cam as well. I haven't gone through it yet since I'm finishing up Bible in a Year with Father Mike Schmitz, which has been amazing. :)
It started 6 weeks ago. But new comers may start at the time of sign up on session #1. There will be approx 52 lessons....one per week. The price includes Dr Pitres Mass reading explained where he spends approx 45 minutes diving deep into the upcoming Sundays readings.

What a fantastic idea Dr. Pitre. Thank you so much for offering this. It will be such a great tool for those who feel they lack a rudimentary knowledge of the faith. But before I purchase this offering, if I may, I have a few questions. Will this series be in video format and, if so, how many videos are there? How long are they in duration? Or does it come in a series of written lessons? Or, does it come in the form of a book? If it is a book, is it available in “Kindle” form? I checked out the link you provided but was unable to discover the answer to my questions. Sorry if I have overlooked something. Perhaps someone who has already purchased this series could reply?
This is a cd or mp3 purchase from Catholic Productions. It consists of 7 hours 50 minutes of lecture with accompanying notes. Cd price is $37.95...mp3 price is $30.36. Available now.
@@crazyedswonderfulworldofso9370 One other thought.....this is not a line by line read and explanation of the details of the Catechism. If you are looking for that check into Fr Mike Schmitz "Catechism in a Year" podcast. Free wherever podcasts are found. 365 episodes....20 minutes each in length. He reads word for word, then explains. I am on my second time around on this because it is so good. I use the Ascension app. That gives me access to Bible in a Year by Mike also.

I'm reading the Bible for the first time I'm on 2nd kings Chapter 9 where Jezebel's corpse shall lie like dung upon the ground so that no one will be able to say this is Jezebel they found nothing but her skull and feet and the palms of her hands the dogs shall devour the flesh of Jezebel. And on and on and on it goes gruesome battles blood ruthless unforgiving this is the Lord? I'd like this to be explained.
I've been going through a podcast with Father Mike Schmitz called Bible in a year. It's really good if you haven't heard of it already. After he reads, he shares some commentary about the scriptures. With regards to your question, it's never God's perfect will for us to treat one another like animals but we do, sadly. We have to realize that we live in a fallen world and when we do evil, there are consequences. The mercy of God really is a mystery...but if we think about it, better to receive punishment for our sins in this life, then go to hell for eternity or into purgatory for such heinous crimes on the soul because the punishment will fit the crime. God knows our hearts and intentions always and He is a God of love AND justice.

What a disgusting comment, you expect someone to not use scripture fully. 🤮 Any additional nonsense you add, contributes to your delusion
He is amazing
You incorrectly assumed.
Likewise
Thank You😊😊
Is not a coincidence that we're listening to this now.
What do you mean?
I am totally excited about this! Thank you so much!
I am 6 weeks into this new series. So interesting. Highly recommend it.
Are these videos free to watch somewhere? Or is it for purchase at the website?

Thank you Dr.
Dr Brant Pitre, please write a book on how to live with suffering and pain. As in a survival manual for Catholics ❤
This book looks much bigger than my blue Baltimore catechism! Do you remember yours? I loved the illustrations such as the milk bottle depicting sin.
That's very helpful. Thanks Dr Pitre.
It makes more sense to aak for crowdfunding for your project instead of selling the material.
But we don't even see enough support for him
Awesome. Thank you very much for doing this. 🙏❤️
Really appreciate this video.
❤❤❤🎉🎉 cant wait
Looking forward to this! What is the church stance on the death penalty now?
Scatter the Seed far and wide is my philosophy, and let Providence take care of the finances!
🙏
In the description link there is a link , but im not sure about any upcoming you tube series.
Where has he been?
I've tried reading the catechism before. Couldn't finish. I find it really dry. To me, it's quite deep and technical. Really hard work to get through.
Pray for guidance before reading.

I cannot find this series
This guy went completely off the radar. A pity he doesn’t put more stuff on TH-cam
He has put out a ton of cds, dvds, etc thru Catholic Productions. I have purchased a half ton..!!!!!.... love his work. Many awesome books also.
That’s cause he wants you to purchase his content.
He has to make a living somehow. I
Subscribe and support (purchase) his or their (Catholic Productions) works (books, audio series, etc.) too.

Ahh a first comment.
What is the kingdom of Heaven? Where is it?
"in 1992 Pope John. Paul the second published a non-Catholic, heretical document..."
Use the Council of Trent Catechism.
Numbers 6:24-26. 🙏🏻Amen.
They really played a major role in destroying catechism....
