    Nairobi just like any other major city in the world has areas where one is completely safe like the City Centre also known as the CBD, also most Nairobi suburbs like Karen, Westlands, the UN offices area also known as the Blue Zone, and other areas like down town Nairobi and the slum areas where it is advisable to have a local when visiting or if visiting alone, exercise common sense precautions -don't display expensive jewellery or expensive cameras etc as snatching can sometimes happen. Asians especially are generally safe because it is assumed that they are locals Kenyan Indians by the ordinary Kenyans. We see Kenyan Indians as part of the society in Kenya because they actually are Kenyans. Unfortunately a lot of the information on travel advisory given by the Western countries about the safety of Kenya is based on arrogance or ignorance and yet they are the ones that visit Kenya the most. They talk of terrorists attacks yet Kenya last had a terrorist attack more than 10 years ago while yet they do not update their information even when security has improved. Kenya is a safe destination otherwise we wouldn't be getting so many tourist like we do.

    • @Wanderingshreya
      @Wanderingshreya  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah absolutely. I respect your concern. We as tourists didn’t face any issue. But as per few locals who warned us not to roam around near the slum areas and avoid late night hangouts. We stayed in Westlands and felt completely safe. We booked Uber and explored few places in Nairobi.
      Mostly in google searches there’s so much negative information that one can get scared so being a blogger it’s my responsibility to share my experience with the viewers.

      Thank you so much for watching my videos…..
      I visited Kenya in the month of September.
      In our time we saw migration the tour company they charged 740$ for the whole trip as because it was premium package. No extra charge for migration. They charge only the trip cost and it remains same throughout the year.
      If you want to know about the current charges then plz contact AXIS AFRICAN SAFARIS

      Yeah before booking with Axis we came across many safari companies. Axis was within our budget. Also we went through their insta profile and found it secure. You can compare the prices with other safari companies also.
      We didn’t face any issue with Axis. August is the best time to visit Masaimara as you can witness the great migration.

    How far was your hotel from the location of game drive? Did you do game drive in Mara triangle? I am trying to find total time it takes to travel to game drives from hotel

      Our resort was just few minutes away from the Masaimara entrance. We did the tour with the axis safaris and they arranged the whole day game drive for us. It takes a whole day to cover the entire Mara.You cannot do the Masaimara game drive alone, you need to book a safari agency.

      @@Baraka254 there are 6 gates in Masai mara. If you are going in the dry season of July August, I would suggest to book near Talek gate or Sekenani gate for the best view and close proximity to mara triangle. Jambo mara is near Oloolaimutia gate which is quite far from mara triangle.

    Hi , thanks for detailed video. Please let me know what time you went , because your tour operator is asking for 1600 $ for exact same itinerary premium package in mid September, which you got in 740$ . Only difference is entry fees per vehicle in Mara is increased to 200$ from 40$ earlier , but they will take 8 per in 1 vehicle, so per person cost should not increase by more than 30/40$ for 2 days .
    Also if including Naivasha..cost is 1900$ .

    I am planning to with this itinerary. But I want to do hot air balloon ride at Masai mara.

      Ma'am even I am planning to travel to Nairobi as a solo female traveller. Both hotels you mentioned in Nairobi are giving pick up and drop services from and to airport.
      So for that and also to explore other places in Nairobi what would you suggest me? Shall I do it through uber or shall I ask those hotels to arrange cab for me? Please advise.

    • @Wanderingshreya
      @Wanderingshreya  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@suchitapendse5688 there are not many touristy things to see in Nairobi. Mostly people visit Kenya for the Masaimara safari. If you have 1-2days in hand then you can very well explore around the city like we did.
      Uber is really a safe option to travel around. We booked Uber. Also you can ask the hotel to arrange a cab for you which is also safe.
      As you are going solo it’s advisable not to walk around alone in the streets particularly after 7pm.
