You can actually prevent this whole encounter by fighting them all 1 at a time by using the acid things you find growing on the walls in the caverns to melt the doors to them and fight them individually
I have actually played this encounter twice. In my first game I got the 3-1 ambush. In new game plus I found u could prevent the ambush by using the acid to burn the metal doors in the cave system. All in all though really cool encounter and I think Phon’Qi caves might actually be one of the harder parts of the whole game

I completed this underground area but never faced all 3 sabre wielding foes at once. Every boss fight was one on one after freeing them from the cells with the exploding bulbs.
I stumbled onto these guys in GM, I used the dual wield to kill two of them, but then the third, prince Patren, got a lucky hit with his plunge move and killed me. I was ready to throw my tv from the window. Then, when I went back, I found out that the ones you’ve killed, even if you didn’t kill all 3, stay permanently dead. My sigh of relief was legendary.
I was Playing ok GM and the 3v1 completely destroyed me, so I improvised and tried to fight somewhere else, not so closed, and I discovered you can 1v1 them. It was pretty relieving, and for the last of them I fought where the Rancor sleeps and it killed him for me.
I fight them 3 at once with double bladed, 6 canisters and panic mode because they surprise me, i beat them at the firt attempt, i was very proud of myself that day
Just completed this fight, when I started it I thought it was a glitch cause I'd seen gameplay of fighting them one by one, can't lie, it was cooler this way as a 3v1!
I give it to the developers to let us retired gamers let us know we still have “it” if we managed to survive this ambush without a game save on the first try 😅 I was in dual and heavy stance when I won this unexpected fight.
The game doesn’t handle multiple enemies well. There really needs to be animation canceling for one where you can block mid attack as getting stuck in animations does not feel fluid, the targeting system is unreliable and when there’s blaster fire it becomes frustrating to try and target who’s hitting you from range, and animations could be a lot smoother.
I agree like with the double bladed saber when your attack one person like two other enemies attack with unblockables and you can't dodge cause your in the middle of a move so I think they should fix that or something
@@Kurikazi117 Think about how fluid elden ring was due to immunity frames and animation canceling. Sure there were some animations you had to commit to, but you were able to roll out of almost anything. This style has a ton of potential but the game feels rushed given the choppiness and lack of fluidity still plaguing the game since Fallen Order.
@@limitedhangoutlive Elden ring had issues with multiple enemies as well. Remember the godskin duo? Nightmares man, nightmares. and when surrounded by 5 or more enemies immunity frames were useless cause u would get roll catched and it would turn into a mess
@@dequasont1063 Oh for sure, my apologies if I made it seem like ER was perfect. I just meant that if you’re going to have that type of combat, there needs to be responsiveness like that. Besides not be able to animation cancel at all, I can’t say how many times I’ve clearly timed correctly or outright block just for it to not register due to the delay or what feels like input delay. I think the only combat that handles a lot of enemies perfectly is the “Batman Arkham Knight” combat camera angle and style. Shadows of Mordor, etc.
It's because of multiple reasons: 1) Lightsabers are rare and difficult to manifacture, especially for non-force users. For example Ilum, the planet of the kyber crystals, was a secret known only to the Jedi order before order 66. 2) They are useful only to force users or higly trained and conditioned warriors. It's these guys and these guys alone that have the ability to deflect incoming blaster bolts thanks to their reflexes, giving the lightsaber the ability to cover its user as they approach an enemy. Anybody else just doesn't have the ability to do that consistently bcs they lack the reflexes and/or training necessary and so they end up weilding nothing more than a super hot stick useful only in cqc, leaving them vulnerable at range Tl;dr: These guys are overconfident idiots and the momen Cal started blasting with his pistol is the moment they lost.
because its basically impossible for non force users to get them themselves, The crystals can only be found on the secret planet Ilum and only a force sensitive can even find one.
1. They are extremely hard to come by, the only way these guys have any is because of Dagan. The other comments in this section mention getting a crystal. I would argue that it is less important for non force users, as they would just steal an already functioning saber, and do not need to hunt down any crystals. 2. They are very hard to use without hurting yourself. Many non force users would end up doing more damage to themselves rather than the enemy, especially double bladed sabers, which is what many of these idiots use. 3. Using a lightsaber was illegal under the empire unless it was to help the empire. Execution by Inquisitor was not uncommon for people caught with lightsabers, although being imprisoned may have been more common.
I stumbled into this 3v1 on Master, and my god I was sweating my ass off. I think I got it on my 3rd or 4th try. Good to know from the comments I won't have to suffer so much on my NG+ GM run
@@DarkPhoenix_Evil Some enemies are force resistant. It will either require you to finish the game to unlock the “rage” ability, or unlock a strong enough force freeze on the skill tree to do so. 1:24 is a good example of what I mean.
The leader of the bedlam raiders has apparently killed many Jedi, and gave his top lieutenants lightsabers from his collection. It says this in the enemy description
@@Kool_MoeTwell buddy you are a liar, or this isn't your gameplay and you didn't know this little fact. On Jedi Master there's a little Gold Dot between the stim counter and the right stance icon, and on Jedi Grand Master there is both that dot and one in between the left stance icon and the BD icon.(in the bottom left of the screen) The footage in this video has neither of those dots so it's either on the normal difficulty or the story mode difficulty, which means that you're either a liar, or this is not footage of you playing the game and you didn't know that it was on a lower difficulty.

I like going through and talking to each of them before i kill them. If you clear everything out of the room and then go talk to them they will each have unique dialogue

I think it is probably the hardest. Maybe going back to fight the little army of bounty hunters was a bit harder, but that is mission specific
