A note on #4 Taking sacks that he shouldn't. An old Eli interview where he talks about his rookie season. Eli was told to map every blitz package of every play in a notebook during the games while he watched Kurt Warner , ordered by Tom Coughlin. Coughlin would then review the notebook by tuesday with little notes if any at all. One week Eli decided to mail in the dedication of mapping every play, lo and behold that notebook came back full of Red Ink. Its no surprise Eli ranks taking sacks that he shouldn't to such a high standard.

Delusion and denial are not viable strategies, and particularly in sports. In politics you're fine because you're not doing anything important anyway and can just lie afterward. But in sports there are those pesky games you have to play in public for everyone to see, and you can't just pretend it's a marketing exercise or a political ad you can immediately forget about after making it. The games are taking place and you will be exposed. But instead the bean counting imbeciles who now run everything try lying because that is what they're used to, and those lies accumulate and accumulate until you become the Browns. And how many have piled up now? My estimate is the original lie when it comes to the Giants was pretending that Eli was still a great QB several years after he had stopped being one. A small lie, perhaps, and told for sentimental reasons I have no doubt. But still a lie, and one that led to the eventual drafting of Daniel Jones. if not for that first lie the Giants might have drafted Patrick Mahomes two years earlier like Ben Macadoo wanted them to. And naturally since they were now used to just lying their way out of failure that is what they kept on doing. The way liars are made and work is that once you start lying it is very hard to stop again.

Myles Garrett requested a trade, so ideally Cleveland will take an edge/pass rusher in the draft to replace him. So if Tennessee takes Hunter, Cleveland takes an edge, NYG have their choice of QB’s.

We know Daboll wants to push the ball down field. Thats a core of Daboll’s offense. To me, that means they would want Cam Ward. Making it look like they like Sanders is a smart smokescreen. Just my 2 cents

Giants having a lot of personnel at senior bowl helps see how coachable they are and a sense for their personality. Could cause a change in the draft board I would think. I’m not sure it’s fair to evaluate QB’s that much though. You are throwing a new offense at them with receivers they have never thrown to also. Hardly a normal situation.

Plenty, Ryan. If you've listened to them all you know that to be true (literally every draft episode on prospects last April, defensive film reviews, etc) but you just can't seem to get out of your head how appalling it is to mention him still. I disagree wit that assessment. I believe when referencing issues at QB, or what we've had at QB and what we should be looking for etc, it would be idiotic to just have a baseline " I WONT MENTION JONES AGAIN!" stance. So I won't take that one. And in this particular reference, we are literally talking about how some fans discount Eli's opinion based on this.

Huge Sanders and Colorado fan.... even bigger Big Blue Fan ---- my nightmare is drafting Sanders. I watched nearly every CO game. Sanders holds the ball too long. He averaged an NCAA leading 5 sacks (average) per game. Sanders waits for REC to get open and look for the ball to throw it... and as you all rightly point out that is NOT something you can do in the NFL and be successfully.
I do like Dart.... My dream draft is First pick - Hunter or Abdul and then target Dart. If that means having to trade up to the late first round.
Fact is Sanders is not a #3 pick talent at QB.... he just isnt. I LOVE him and I think he will be a solid QB in the NFL at the right team and right scheme.... but its not the Giants. But I can totally see the HC and GM taking a long shot to save their sobs and draft Sanders AND under up losing their jobs and screwing the Giants for another 5 years.

Jasons rushing scheme was like he had tyron smith Zach martin and travis Frederick in their primes when the WHOLE LEAGUE was running the singleback zone stretch runs setup for the cutback get the defense flowing one way and BOOM cutback.. made famous by the Shanahan‘s past down to shawn mcvay but it even goes back to when McaPoo benched Eli cause younger Geno could move a little more behind the infamous Ereck flowers O line so Mara hand picked a GM that would give closing on 40 Eli a running game when they had basically the 1st pick behind cleveland and Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield Josh Allen were ALLL capable franchise QBs.. all they had to see was the tape they ruined the greatest RB prospect ever arguably Daboll the QB whisperer alllll they had to do was pick up the 5th year option and then the 2 years 80 million guaranteed woulda NEVER happened..
