The FGC desperately needs more offline events. You love to see it
This was one of the biggest FGC Meetups events ever. Over 250 entrants across 9 different games.
Is that for Tekken or..? Smash for example has regularly had 1k+ entrant tournaments for years.
@@NotHere-un5pf Learn to read? Across 9 games, so not Tekken alone. And no, it's a small tournament, just one of the biggest in the tournament series. Like read again the whole thing.
Also, no, Smash gets like 8 tournaments with over 1000 entrants over like 40 of the biggest tournaments in 2023, that's 2% of the big tournaments. The average without the over 1000 entrant tournaments hovers around 400 people. The 2022 TWT for Tekken 7 had over 18.000 entrants entrants throughout the year, Tekken tournaments have lower peaks, only around 1,300 or so people, but with lots of tournaments spread out around the globe.
@@lucastonoli3256I think the dude knows how to read it’s just confusing because the tournament has a very generic sounding name. When someone says that this is “one of the biggest FGC meetups ever” it’s not immediately apparent they’re talking about this one specific tournament named FGC meetups

I'm probably in the minority here, but the just-do-it nature of heat smash looks really out of place in Tekken. Not a fan

It's just a Rage Drive from 7 tbh. And the trade off is that we have massively improved sideways movement.
It’s still early meta, I think the usage of the heat system will change as the game progresses
It's Rage Drive with a different name attached to a different resource, but it serves the same purpose more or less.
Theyre all 15f+. They are absolutely not "just do it", theyre either long range whiff punishes, high damage lows, or can just be blockstrings/wallcarry. Youre better off launching 90% of the time you would press heatsmash.

Not really. I've seen clips/videos of Jin and jun combos of over 80 damage, no wall.

Azucena need Nerf
Not really, the players are literally learning what to do against her. In every fighting game people say this same thing about any character that is doing well until people learn the extent of what to do against it. There are multiple variables going on here: The player using her is very good and has been grinding her since release, Azucena's opponents are learning her strings as they fight her and even after you learn some of them you still need to learn the appropriate counter/optimal punishes and what works and-what-not. As of right now until people figure something else out or something changes, she is actually a little stronger than average character. Just check the data on leaderboards. There are many characters above her, that if nerfs would happen at all they would happen to other characters way before her. Be cautious when just looking at a vid of someone doing well. There are many key factors here.
Turn off the sound and just watch the gameplay. This commentary was awful.
