    I am about to try the scrub method for my ombré tonight! Thanks for the tips.

    I love this method. So much easier than tapping. I do have a question though. It seems like you do the white and then tap right away. Are your nails still wet when you start scrubbing or are they totally dry?
    If you do it before the base coat is totally dry how do you keep your brush from getting base coat on it?
    Thanks for your video!!

    I prefer this method. It gives a more consistent result and the layers don't get thick. This is beautiful!

    Thanks so so much. I’ve been wondering how many coats to dip and scrub of which powders and you have answered my questions. I had been nervous to just wing it but now I know what to do. I so appreciate this. 💜

    What a awesome video I learned so much from you 👏👏🏆💯👍 however when I tried to recreate your technique I found I couldn't scrub immediately like you did because the resin base was to wet it seemed you went in right away to scrub sooo how minutes do I need to wait BEFORE I SCRUB I use vitamin dip liquid as you do. I look forward in hearing back from you

    • @KatesNailKorner
      @KatesNailKorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really varies per each brand of dip base, but I don't wait long, maybe 15-30 seconds... just start gently and once you're sure the dip base has set then you can scrub a bit more aggressively. :-)

    Love this look. I tried the tap on ombre and that would be a big fat failure. I did great on swatches not so good on real nails. This looks a little easier. I guess the key to this type of ombre is dip with the lighter color and scrub with the bold or darker color. Love all your videos!

    First off- your videos are my absolutley favorite!!! I just got into Revel, I’m obsessed and really needed help! You are amazing!!! So.... Hey girl! Thanks so much for your comment. Sorrry that I was unclear. I apply a peel base to the center of my nail to make soak of quicker because I change my mani so frequently. If you are looking for longevity out of your mani I don’t recommend peel base. Hope that helps clarify. ☺️

    Can you show the Apex method you do?

    • @KatesNailKorner
      @KatesNailKorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to do just one strip of clear down the center of my nail about 3/4 of the way to the cuticle. I no longer do this because I use builder gel as my base and build an apex that way.

  • @teamnearman2
    @teamnearman2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It looks like you’re doing full coats of base for each dip. That doesn’t make it thick near the cuticle? Or do you just file it down afterwards?

    • @KatesNailKorner
      @KatesNailKorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I do full layers and file to thin near the cuticle.
