    Full respect to heavy vehicle drivers , especially in the city , so many car drivers have absolutely no idea of how much room they need to turn and stop , and of the blind spots , give the trucks a bit of room

    Wait a minute. I'm from the U.S., and sorely tested the patience of Qnsld and NSW drivers. Yet, they were unfailingly tolerant of my L or R turn mistakes. I didn't drive at nite. I love OZ.

    3:43 Looks like the M1 where all the trucks turn over, especially at Berowra where the outside lane holds water and you aquaplane in that lane. No chance spending all that money the Hwy Patrol and cameras make us on fixing it, we'll just put more of them out there and make more money.

    When it "fogs" up like that its normaly at cabin airfilter that needs to dry up , so i recommend the drivers around here where i live to have a extra filter with them to change with and let it dry in the cab and change them both when they are in for maintence on the truck. Just a tip.

    You need to get faster windscreen wipers for that heavy rain dude! You can buy a separate motor for the wipers which runs on an auxillary battery and they are self propelled, water sensitive and the wiper blades I got are triple bladed on my rig and it makes a massive difference.

    The problem with all of Australia is the smaller the car or bike the more they think they own the road, maybe they need to spend a few years driving a truck to see they don't pull up on a dime! Great video. Man you have some patience!🙊

    Can I suggest that if your dashcam is in an enclosure and you're getting foggy videos, you put a piece of tissue above the dashcam to absorb the moisture that would otherwise collect on the lens. If not, then tape some folded tissue above the dashcam to achieve the same goal. If it works for GoPro's, it'll work for you.

    Same in Melbourne Peter. 55min commute each end of the day with at least 2 near misses per trip. Driving in London, Paris, Italy, Israel and Greece are tame in comparison. Had to change my driving style to stay alive.

    • @petergoodwin2465
      @petergoodwin2465 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darren Geary . So true. Melbourne is just a mess these days Buses cant run on time. Trains play up. Trams are stuck in traffic. But great lets have more migration. I nearly kill someone at least twice a day. Even bought a 79 V8 Valiant so when they hit it they're in hospital and im driving home.

I drive city buses and the stupid shit i see all day really makes me want to kick the shit out of the scumbag politicians who keep jamming people in this city. Our living standards have dropped so far because of nass imigration. Kids will never own a home and we spend thousands of hours sitting in traffic. World's most liveable city my ass. What a joke.

  • @Absaalookemensch
    @Absaalookemensch 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Police should be allowed to use dash cam videos to cite traffic violations.
    They can claim it wasn't them driving, hand the video over to their insurance, so their rates can be adjusted accordingly to the higher risk level. The insurance company doesn't care who is recklessly driving the vehicle they are covering.

    • @Absaalookemensch
      @Absaalookemensch 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Video tapes are used as evidence in other crimes, why not for traffic violations?
      I'm sure insurance companies would like to appropriately adjust rates to higher risks.
      I know 80% of the safe drivers would like lower rates and higher risk drivers to pay their fair rates.

    • @doncoleman4938
      @doncoleman4938 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Police do use dashcam footage from people to issue infringement notices. In Qld. if you submit the footage and it is time and date stamped along with a stat. dec. they can follow up. Quite often the offending car owner will get the ticket in the mail. If they want to say it wasn't them driving they have to say who it was.
      If they had a section of Road Policing Command/Highway Patrol with staff who only processed such evidence, all of our states would be debt free in no time!

    Peter, what do you make of the slow to 40 when you are on the motorway and the police have pulled some one over? From 110 - 40 is a big difference. Perhaps the cops should be pulling them over some where safer than the hard shoulder in rush hour? There was nearly a bad crash on the M1 the other day when a truck in the middle lane had to put the anchors on hard to avoid a big pile up because of this new rule. He skided a long way and credit to the truckie he kept it under control.

      In my 7 years of driving a white passenger van (we had a blue one before that), its the tradies (especially in vans lately), p platers and mud carters that are most likely to be fuckwits.
      Mining tradies are the worst. Which is ironic considering the massive safety focus of mines.

    Driven trucks in Sydney and Perth, car drivers are complete numb nutters wherever you go, incredibly stupid, selfish and impatient, most rigid drivers aren't much better.

      If you have a better look at the footage the barina stopped behind the white lane, leaving enough space for the truck to stop

      Tell you what, next time you are in a truck that weighs 40 tonnes or more, see what happens when some little twat in a tincan "decides" how much room a truck needs to stop. What they did was horribly irresponsible, potentially fatal.

    • @Charlielfelix
      @Charlielfelix 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm just saying at a traffic light you're supposed to stop before the white lane, so there is no reason for the truck to run in the back of the Barina. What the barina did was illegal but they at least took consideration of the truck behind, that's all I'm saying, compare to the one at 7.12

      No, consideration would have involved patience and courtesy. This is "have to be in front at all costs" arrogance and then continuing past the white line KNOWING what they did was wrong. Making excuses for this sort of behaviour just makes it acceptable. People die because of shit like this.

    Here's a tip for you, when your windscreen fogs up turn your air conditioner on - it removes the moisture from the air.

      Most modern cars will also activate the air con automatically when the front screen demister position is selected.
