Yes! We are taught everything in school. We learned in school that Spain sold the Philippines to the US at a certain amount of money and that a fake war was staged in Manila Bay where the US eventually won. That was purely theatrical.

Dont get me wrong . Spaniards came and colonized Philippines because they are running out of spices in their Kitchens. Imagine they created war over pepper, garlic and onions when they can even simply ask that to us for free.
Just out of curiosity, from what I learned, old Marcos and his famous wife embezzled a lot of money and were overthrown by the people and fled overseas, How his son got the vote to be elected president in this case. Are there any Filipinos to answer my question, does anyone really believe he will lead the Philippines to a renaissance, or is there simply no better choice? I didn't mean any harm.
Former Pres. Marcos Sr. was overthrown due to bad propaganda when he was sick and former FL Imelda his wife did not embezzeled but was falsely accused due to all this propaganda that stems due to the declaration of Martial Law so that Phils. will not fall to communism...all the charges that they filed esp. in the US were proven to be false and no evidence at all of corruption hence was dismissed and now at present in the Phils all charges remaining were all found to be not guilty and dismissed. The US basically took the Marcoses out to Hawaii when they were supposed to be flown to their hometowns on the order of their new alliances with then Cory Aquino....with the new govt in 1986 up until 35 yrs later nothing changes but the Phil. status declined even more and corruption was rampant that the Filipino people rallied behind the son when he run for the presidency..now with Pres. Marcos Jr. the filipino people are once again satisfied with the job his doing uplifting the economy and building the once forgotten vision of his father....the people saw already the big difference for the 2 yrs that he is in command. Although there are still party's involved in propagating fake news majority of the people only believed on what the Marcos gov.t is achieving in the present times.
