I bought my 1999 Toyota Camry brand new - v6 five speed manual transmission , I know it's kind of a unicorn, who would order a manual transmission. I've never owned an automatic transmission car. My Camry now has 400K miles on it. NO rust (Arizona car) - NO leaks - No lights (just passed emissions). Cheap to repair - cheap to run - ultra reliable. And best of all NO CAR PAYMENTS
Nah man, it's slow still not the slowest has some decent amount of torque, try using 91 u might see a benefit in terms if torque, but it sure is smooth as he'll I prefer this one over the 4 cylinder although that one is also pretty torqy for what it is it gets better mpg but the v6 also gets pretty good mpg like 19-20 mpg
Something with these older Japanese cars makes you fall in love with them. Had a 2018 Camry and don’t miss it one bit, although it was a great car. Bought a 98 4runner to cut cost and have fun with and am absolutely in love with it. Weird how that works lol
Not at all I just bought a 2005 Toyota Highlander Suv for 2500$ I love it. Just got a roof rack, ordered some HID headlights. It’s such a capable vehicle and I feel very comfortable, confident, relaxed driving it. Lol 😂
This vehicle was my first starter Car gift from Mom for college back in 2016 and sold it in the spring of 2022. Great car for mileage, power and longevity 👍🏽.
Love my 99 Camry CE , bought it as a commuter so my convertible can sit during the week . I put 16k miles on it since I bought it 5 months ago , drove it to LA , to San Diego and all over the bay area daily . I now have 231k miles on it and it Saves me gas ⛽️, and drives so smoothly . I love this car and has been the best $2K I spent . I also keep mine really clean and always detailed , it deserves it.
I just picked up a 1997 Toyota Camry LE 116,000k original miles. Interior is perfect. Outside the paint is faded. Probably just sitting a lot. video coming out this week, hopefully lol. I’m always on the hunt for a low miles Toyota. Bc there worth it.
Hell yeah man! Bro my first job I rode my bike to work everyday for like a year lol. The struggle is real 😂. Keep on grinding. I believe in you my man 👍
@@povnelson2019 I’ll get there! Luckily my mom lets me drive her car pretty much full time because she hates it and can’t trade it in until I graduate this may. I’m hoping to get a V6 4speed from 2000 or newer, under 190,000 miles in good overall shape. So basically I’m probably not gonna get that 😂
Nice man I really like the 2006-2012 impalas there sleek, big, good mpg and reliable. The older ones have a lot of over heating problems lol but still run. And run good lol
I am searching for my own car since my dad is done with me using his car. my uncle buys and fixes cars. I had purchased a 2006 kia from him a while back and he currently has this car for 2,700.00. The car looks very much in good shape, besides some cosmetic details from the outside. the thing is this car has about 260k miles on it already. he said that is no worry, he bought it from a friend who lives in austin (we live in houston), and these are just highway miles. I took it for a test run, the steering wheel feels a bit tough to turn, but it drives well, and well it is toyota. these last forever! he said that the motor is in very good condition. I have about 6000 saved up, and living in houston it is imperative to own a car to get from point a to b. Definitely a good investment for sure! I am still waiting on a few tune-ups he has to work on, but will definitely check it out once more. that kia i bought from him had some electrical details, my dad was like david just take it to the junkyard. my baby. it kept me through college, I got rid of it. like 3 months later, we get a toll booth ticket, someone was driving it around the city. hahahahaha. damn, whateverrr. but yea I will look into this car again, I need time to get used to the tiny side mirrors. MAN. very spacious and very clean from the inside for sure! hopefully something works out soon so I can be fully independent.
I forgot to mention houston floods very bad, which is another reason why I want to avoid buying a small car, especially with these crazy potholes, it has been very hot here in texas and the roads break and it is very annoying to dodge these things.
It sounds almost like some of the interior panels are loose or something whenever you go over a bump it sounds like your dashboard is rattling or is that just me
@Jesús Gonzalez I trust Camry more. Buy a good one and do regular service and you will be Golden. 2000 accords have Transmission problems, and now that Hondas are getting older I’m seeing a lot of head gaskets issues with Honda.
I can’t decide whether to get this camry or the Corolla? The Corolla is smaller and gets better mpg and high mpg is what I need! Which one is better for what purpose? The Camry does look nicer though!
situations change and I love having more space specially on long trips. also the bigger the car the safer. its 100% up to you. but I would do Camry. my mom brags about her 2003 Camry getting great mpg lol
@@povnelson2019 I see. which camry would you recommend? V6 or the 4 cylinder? I know the 4 gets better mpg but the v6 has to be faster. Help me decide please! Is the v6 worth the lower mpg? Or should I go for the smaller engine?
The 4Cyl has good acceleration, it’s fast enough for me lol. I recommend the 4. But not all cars are the same. You gotta shop around and try to buy the best one.
Lol I have 2 Honda accords 2000 special edition v4 135k 225k miles Believe it or not the high mileage one is in better condition mechanical wise 🤷♂️🤷♂️😊
I believe you bc a 22 year old car with 225k are good miles. Example 10k miles per year. 10,000 x 22 = 220,000. Compared to a low miles car that was not driven or serviced regularly. I see it a lot lol, in old and new cars 😂 service, service, service. Lol
