Oh my goodness- I just found my first amber stopper last night!!! I love it when I watch a video of someone else finding similar things that I find on the same day or a day after. It's too cool!!! Awesome video!!!
@Travelling..Bottle..Digger yes!! I am going to be posting tomorrow for sure 😁 Thank you!! I also found some really cool stuff randomly today. It was a bunch of metal just under the sod and I found an address tag for a door and a few skeleton keys! That was fun! I'll post that shorter video soon.
Kevin, nice mason jar lids, such beautiful blue color. The marbles were awesome, and the stoppers. Nice wrap up and happy Chipper is letting you pet him. Great dig.👍😀👏
Great finds !!!!, I have dug several of the Hamilton Glass Company mason jar lids in all different variations and styles here in Ontario over the years , and they are by no means common . The company was in operation from 1880-1898 . I always keep an item or bottle that I don’t have , and sometimes I sell my doubles or triples of bottles or items unless they are exceptionally rare or hard to come by . I have sold two of those Hamilton lids, each for $10 , but obviously I kept some of every style for my display and collection too !. Cheers , have a great weekend!!!. 😎🍺👍
@@Travelling..Bottle..DiggerThere is also a variant of the Hamilton Glass Co lid that has the embossing around it but also has a crown in the middle of it . I’ve only dug one of those ever . Also I hope you find a North American Glass Company lid sometime, they have those words embossed around the edge , and also the old style Crown symbol in the middle . They are really nice frosted blue colour and hard to find . I’ve also only ever dug one of those up . Cheers 🍻
Outstanding video Mate! Chippy is so cute! You gotta baby him!❤ figure out what they really really love and set him a table of a feast! Doll furniture! 😜 Get him a hamster wheel! 🤪 By the way….see? Told ya that cellar hole is hiding cool stuff! Dig! Dig! Dig!
Yeah, gotta set him up something. Dale comes by for some treats too, but he's more neurotic. He'll let me pet him too, but he doesn't stick around long.
Hello Kevin. Awesome video and finds good buddy. 🙂 Lew and I like the Bennington marbles and antique copper or brass bracelet the best. Nice blue mason jar lid and mason jar lids to. Be careful of those horrible red ants, we have had them in our digging spots and there bite is painful. Nice 1882 patent milk glass jar to! Cool beans on these finds! Hope to see your new video soon and we wish you good health and luck. Take care and happy hunting to you.-----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew.)
Congratulations on the bracelet Kevin ! That stopper is a great find too. Really like the condiments jar. Fantastic Bennington marbles too ! Yes I have dug those Hamilton mason lids Kevin. Looks like you found another honey hole Captain ! Take care and cheers my friend !
Quite a varied amount of fines sometimes I got admit you guys dig up the same stuff over and over, but I like the variety today keep away from the ants😎
The temperature is back up in the 80s again...no digging or mushroom hunting until it drops to the 60s-70s . Rain storms are predicted every day but never seem to happen 😔....I think I'll just go fishing 🎣.
Great dig - those old stoppers are so hard to find - looks like a great site and so close to a busy road! I am curious to see what that big rifle cartridge casing turns out to be.
The white and blue in the one I was thinking about, it’s hard I tell about the solid blue, usually Benningtons have some lighter colors showing through from the base, but it’s hard to say for sure in the clip, Benningtons are essentially round balls of salt glazed crockery
love that blue lid, the two tooled top bottles, but those marbles?!!! Whoah! So cool! Early! At the 14:30 mark, I suddenly realized, you sound exactly like Johnny Carson ( tonight show host 70’s. ). I think you could do a perfect impression of him! ❤
Haha yeah, a couple other people have said the same. It prompted me to do an intro with a sound bite from the Tonight Show intro. I actually used that intro in a video a short while ago.
You managed to find some interesting items at that cellar hole, especially the antique bracelet and the early Hamilton Glass works lid, probably a rare one.The large pioneer glass factory in Steeltown was a famous one in early Canada, running from 1864 - 1898.Are you planning a more thorough dig at that hole, because there's a good chance buried some glass or pottery deeper towards the bottom. There's a good chace you could find the fruit jar that goes with that lid

I know what you mean... it happens quite often and usually with the strangest items lol
@Travelling..Bottle..Digger what an interesting phenomenon!! I love it!! Makes me feel connected to all you guys and gals!!

No mosquitos so you had to play with the red ants? Nice finds! I really like all of it. Thanks Kevin.
Exactly lol
I noticed in one clip, they were up my boots and pant leg and all over the ground lol

Fun digging in that hole. Thinking maybe try a bit deeper... see if anything pops up ??

Some nice smalls in there... I may need to go deeper. The Hamilton lid is nice and the Crown is embossed North American Glass co

Oh yeah, a lot of the same bottles turn up. I like a good variety dig too.

Yeah, you haven't been getting out digging much at all this summer by the sounds of it. Fishing can be fun too though
The bracelet was nice and the marbles, you still might could clean that tin up.😊
Could be a fun little project to try. It's in rough shape though
Wow, beautiful blue lid. I can’t believe how much some of those lids go for. I’ve reburied several, before I found that out. Why yes, I am a dork 🤪
I hear ya... I used to keep all the plain common ones, but not any longer lol

I didn't get a chance to clean the shell. I'm curious too. I'll try to remember to get it soaking tonight.
Great stuff! Nice clays and one of those first 2 is a Bennington I believe ! Congrats !
Are you thinking the solid blue one is Bennington ?

the clay marbles are nice finds. the little swirl is uncommon. hard to find. good luck.
Thanks, pal
Looks like a Blue Benny. Or cobalt blue Bennington
Yes, it does and it very well could be. I don't know much about them, but I think the age range would be right for them
Nice stuff, anything stamped on the inside of the bracelet? Those stoppers are nice especially if you have the same colored flasks.
Honestly, I never noticed anything on the bracelet. I'll check again with the magnifying glass. I agree... stoppers really top the old bottles off.

I'm thinking a deeper dig may be needed. I suspect it's been dug previously, but maybe just surface dug the same as I did.
I have the exact same lid until I put it on one of my mason jars and then it fell but a week ago and smashed into pieces
A few nice lids in there. Might have to try digging deeper
You must be near the highway cuz I can hear the vehicles
Yep lol
