I got the CD of Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party when I went to Walt Disney World and I love it, I’ve never been to the Show but I feel like I have when I listen to that CD.
You should go. I went to Disney for the first time ever for this event specifically. It was amazing, great weather, amazing atmosphere and very little lines for the rides and the shows are amazing
This is a reupload of the video i posted earlier today due to a copyright strike and having to cut around one minute of footage. Sorry if you already watched, liked or left a comment! We hope you enjoy our Expedition to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! Do you think August is too early to be starting the Halloween festivities? Let us know in the comments below!
What type of material got the copyright strike? There should be a database of this stuff, so all future video-makers can know where the limits are stretched.
This is super fascinating! I never realized that the Halloween party was essentially pretty young. Also I didn’t know that the same person composed Wishes, Hallowishes, A Christmas Wish, and Illuminations. Now it makes 100% sense why I love all those soundtracks the most!
Yet this is funny coming from them since they did some dark films during the 1980s like Something Wicked This Way Comes, Return to Oz, The Watcher in the Woods, Mr. Boogedy, and The Black Cauldron. Even they were infamous for Night on Bald Mountain from Fantasia when Walt was still around.
I’m actually going to go to the Disneyland Anaheim equivalent of the Not so Scary Halloween Party which is just “Mickey’s Halloween Party” this year as Max from A Goofy Movie with my girlfriend as Max’s love interest Roxanne!
It’s my favorite event at Walt Disney World! The parade, fireworks, special characters, and trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom make it well worth it!!!!
I remember going when it used to cost around 30-40 ish dollars. Now it is around $100. 😭. I really love this event but I have to think twice before going because of how expensive it has gotten.
I’m so happy you uploaded this! I worked this event and participated as a guest. It is amazing! I am a huge punk so this event is absolutely perfect for me. I strongly encourage anyone to go to this event. Wonderful video as usual. Thanks for making me smile 😊. Also, totally worth it for the candy alone.
Bro I love how you keep pumping out these videos, usually when a channel posts videos so close together the quality of the content drops, not here tho. Glad the channel is taking off, one of my favorites for sure. 😀
Back when I used to go to Disney during Fall Break my family would go to the Halloween party. It really is worth going to just for the parade and the incredibly short lines. (I once got to ride Space Mountain 8 times in one night but if what you said is true then i guess that's a thing in the past.) My family is going back to Disney in a couple of weeks and we weren't going to attend (because it is super expensive now) but between my Mom, sister and me we all bought tickets and are going to surprise my Dad. Oh I'm excited to go back!
This is my favorite party of the year and Hallo-Wishes is one of the best fireshows even with the modification in 2008 to shorten it by a couple minutes. However, the perimeter fireworks are not 360°, they are only 180° in front of you. The full 360° perimeter fireworks are only used for New Years and Fourth of July.
I remember my dad taking me to Disney at Halloween when I was a kid...must have been around 1979-83. The only thing I remember is sittnig in front of Cinderella's castle. They were blasting ghost and other scary Halloween sounds from them continuously. I remember that scaring the crap outta me. I mean.....it completely frightened me to no end! I think that incident, coupled with him taking me to see Poltergeist.......has given my anxiety complexes as an adult! Too bad Disney didn't care too much about not scaring the 70s children. Oh well.
This party is definitely worth it for the fireworks alone tbh. The firework show is my absolute favorite one of all time! The show is great, the parade use to be great....but it kind of sucked last year. The candy is good. I also love going to get a pic with jack and sally! They're such a fun experience that is honestly worth the wait if you love meeting characters. I've been to the Christmas party, and while it's nice/fun: I just don't enjoy it as much. The show isn't as good, and the parade/firework show is ok. The best part of the Christmas party is honestly the characters, and cookies. That's about it.
I have a correction to make here: In the Halloween finale of Fantasy in the Sky, it's not the the old hag from Snow White, she's just a traditional and generic witch. If you look carefully at the old recorded footage that was shown in this video, there's some green fabrics in her outfit along with a classic tall pointy hat, as the old hag is just all black with a hood.
I wouldn't call turning the lights on in Space Mountain "special effects." If you enter the park at 4pm, you'll have 8 hours of comparatively low-wait time in MK, so you're basically getting a day in the park at a reduced rate.
That was the entire reason my family went. We got to ride Space Mountain 8 times in one night because of it. If you skipped the first parade and went to the second one all the rides became a walk on.
I LOVE YOUR WORK! so great to see the history of so many different parks and attractions including ours in the UK. Since we have halloween coming up and Phantom Manor is under refurb and won't be opening until 2019, it would be amazing if you did a documentary about the attraction! keep up the good work and cannot wait to see the next video!
I saw this hilarious video of a guy who went back and forth between universal and Disney doing the jack skellington and the grinch meet and greets and it came off as them having a huge rivalry
I have been to thuis twice. it is a good time to go if you want to enjoy the rides with less lines. very kid friendly of course which I have kids. I am myself still a Halloween horror nights guy. great great video!
Me and my family will be going this October, and will be our first time attending MNSSH! We are really excited. Love your videos, always look forward to them!
Great Video! MNSSHP is my fave event all year. August is a little early just because it's so hot out still but I don't mind it too much since I love Halloween. I'm *hoping* to go this coming Friday :D And I've started buying the recyclable halloween bag they put out each year to collect candy instead of just the tiny free ones. A lot easier to carry around all night.
Had already watched and commented. Had just said I was excited to get to go back to the party this year. Went to the first one 2 years ago and had to miss last year. Great history video as always! ~Dawn
I've been to Not so Scary Halloween and found it utterly lovely, just the right amount of scary of a Disney park, it's also the only time i didn't' have to queue for Pirates' so it's alright with me :D.
:3 I think the most fun and the worst part of my first trip to Disney World/the Magic Kingdom Was I was in a wheelchair the whole time because I broke my foot a week prior to that
loved the video! i was wondering, do you remember the pirate and princess ticketed events? my parents and i went once or twice, i think it ran for two years, but then we've never heard of it again. it'd be cool to know a bit more about it. i remember it fondly because the park was essentially abandoned, but that's probably why it didn't last for more than two years LOL.
I think it sounds like an awesome event, but I feel like they should wait until September to start it. I went to Sea World a few years ago on Labour Day and it was so hot the autumn decorations annoyed me and I love holiday decorations. I can't imagine dressing up in mid-August in central Florida.
I don't like hard ticket events at Disney, I liked when you could go to Disnyland all day and still have the Halloween fireworks and halloween parades to see with no extra cost. Just feels like a money grab to me bc at Disneyland CA it used to not be a hard ticket event.
I know Universal and Disneyland in California are smaller park but will you do a video for them? Or Six flags Magic Mountain (which I was surprise of how much land they own and still have space for much more now that my baby sister is working in that park and yes this was off topic😶😶)
Ok is it just me or is the music for the fireworks really auto tune, not true to the song, and annoying! Watch a video of the fireworks and most of the songs are just annoying compared to their originals. They are so full of auto tune and they’re trying to make them way more upbeat then they are like the song “This is Halloween” and they try to have some Pentatonix or barbershop quartet kind of thing!
I do wonder what kind of candy do they give out? Is it your typical candy faire, snickers and the like, or do they have any cool specially made candies?
American Football, does not start until first Sunday after Labor Day. The second Sunday in September. Between July 5th and Labor Day I am not thinking Halloween. Only swimming And Summer cook outs.
Halloween events should happen exclusively in October. Most of the human race has no concern if Christmas events begin on the day Daylight Savings Time ends. Dub that period the pre-yuletide.
BORING?! How in the world can the Magic Kingdom be boring?! Your obviously one of those people who say Disney is "too babyish" and go to Universul Studios instead because" it's more for adults". And you know what? I see quite a few adults at the Magic Kingdom all by themselves enjoying the Magic Kingdom!!
I got the CD of Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party when I went to Walt Disney World and I love it, I’ve never been to the Show but I feel like I have when I listen to that CD.

Hey I mean whatever makes them money 😂
Maybe next Halloween. This year I’m going to focus on Orlando halloween!
Expedition Theme Park August is too late. If you haven’t started Halloween by nov. 1st, it’s too late and you should give up and try again next year.
What type of material got the copyright strike? There should be a database of this stuff, so all future video-makers can know where the limits are stretched.
Hallowishes Music, specifically Grim Grinning Ghosts
Attending my 1st MNSSHP this year and I’m even more excited after watching this!
Don’t know how I missed this one! The Halloween parties were so much fun to go to but I wish there were major differences each year.
When I was 3 I went to Disney on Halloween and all I can remember is the parade.
This is super fascinating! I never realized that the Halloween party was essentially pretty young. Also I didn’t know that the same person composed Wishes, Hallowishes, A Christmas Wish, and Illuminations. Now it makes 100% sense why I love all those soundtracks the most!

I mean its no HHN,but its nice to have childfriendly hallowen event..ooh and also...they dont have haunted mansion holiday, thats nice.
I want to go so BAD! I keep thinking how romantic it would be to be proposed during that firework show. It's so beautiful and festive 😀

I always went to Disney around late October and November as a Kid, so I Really love This. Thank you so much!
you missed my favorite add on to this event. The transformation of haunted mansion to nightmare of halloween.
They don't transform the Florida haunted mansion? Just add some make up and a actress out front.
I love the Boo Too You Halloween parade. It is definitely the best parade Disney has ever made. Also the Hocus Pocas show is amazing.

They already started Halloween stuff. At this point Christmas season would start after Labor Day

Loved learning about the history Sam. You are one of the best at this!
Thanks Shaun!
I can’t wait to go this year again I’ve only been to Disney World and both times including this one are for the not so scary Halloween party
:3 I think the most fun and the worst part of my first trip to Disney World/the Magic Kingdom Was I was in a wheelchair the whole time because I broke my foot a week prior to that
Wish I could go to this it looks awesome

Yep I do remember it and actually went once also! Back in 2008 I think it was. I have been meaning to make a video on it at some point.
I am so happy you made this video❤️ I love MNSSHP. I am going in September as a penguin and my sister is going to be Mary poppins
I went as Bert a few years ago!
Love your videos cannot stop watching
Ahhh thanks Maddie!
Always love your videos! So chuck full of information my friend!
Thank you buddy!
I love Halloween!

I just always thought the 4th July stuff was always apart of main st during non holidays even at Disneyland.
We have a cold season in Florida? 😂

I'm going this year to the one at Disneyland! 👻
melskunk Disneylands event is a lot smaller than the one at WDW. But I guess its still fun
luuchoo G everything is smaller at Disneyland, but it's where I'm going
i am dressing a haunted mansion cast member last yr I was the tightrope walker.
Not all attractions are open during the events as this video suggests. Check the official Disney sites for info on what will be closed before going.
i paid 127 last n this yr was one 126 it is not worth it in a way but the parade made me want to go back
is your channel name of the ride at wdw?
walt disney go way out then disneyland i am going to the mickey hallween party oct 26th
I wonder if they special order the candy to have Disney wrappers
Is Not So Scary better than very merry Christmas party?
In my opinion yes I like it better
IMO, yes
I do wonder what kind of candy do they give out? Is it your typical candy faire, snickers and the like, or do they have any cool specially made candies?
M and M and stuff like that. Just regular stuff
They give out a TON of fruit snacks and other "healthier" snacks.
Hmm, what else? How recently did they change from traditional candy?
@@PoseidonXIII well last I went was a couple years ago. Could be different now?

Why does MK have their Halloween parties so early?
what about the live actors in the haunted mansion? Madame Carlotta and Madame Renata's additions have been snubbed T.T
I put a clip in didn’t I? Maybe I missed it. Sorry
You should make pin or patches of the different park logos that you made.
Great idea!
