Its not always that. A dry scalp is often confused for dandruff, shampoo and detangle your hair, and use a gentle leave in conditioner when out of the shower. Protect the hair during the night it goes away

@ChyuChyLuChyFyLutChy This happened to me a long time ago before. Try this shampoo Dove Anti Dandruff Shampoo Dryness And Itch Relief You can put the shampoo In your hair once , rinse out then put it in again and make sure you get deep in your hair , it helps to use a detangler and if you have short hair a brush will be fine ( I used to do wash and styles for waves) then moisturize your hair after with this leave in Johnson's Baby Curl Defining Tear-Free Kids' Leave-in Conditioner If you notice it's coming from your hairline area for me it was because I was over doing it with the conditioner (not leave in I'm talking about the conditioner you put in while showering and rinse out, once I stopped using that so much and used this leave In conditioner instead it stopped immediately) Give it a try , good luck
@sunset6958 thanks for the tips! I partially tried what you say. I gave up conditioner/hair mask for a while, but it seemed that flakes appeared just like before. @ChyuChyLuChyFyLutChy yea, I used to use the 2 in 1 head and shoulders classic and would just wash my hair with it every day and nothing else(the other ones for some reason, didn't work well). it worked, but ofc my hair would be so dry and nappy, when I tried getting waves I had to get off that because you need soft moisturized hair for better curls😅 I also noticed that once I used the combined head and shoulders with built-in conditioner the flakes returned and it was even itchy . For me, avoiding using conditioner on my hair every day helped a lot(the ones you have to wash out after applying) , and sticking to just that leave in was my solution. ( I don't even really condition my hair that much anymore , just use water and the leave in conditioner, and that's it) I'd try that baby leave in I posted earlier and see how your hair reacts to it (I also stopped using head and shoulders a long time ago and use the dove shampoo instead , head and shoulders was too drying) if it doesn't go away I'd see a dermatologist and make sure it's nothing else but they'll probably just give you ketoconazole 2% shampoo or some Nizoral (been there before I figured it out , didn't work lol)
If you have dandruff, go to a dermatologist, I’ve gotten some very cheap medications that just go right on your scalp, it disappears in less than a week and will stay gone if you’re consistent with it
The fungus in question here is Malassezia. Even though this video is correct in what they do, the visuals are a little bit misleading. They do not have legs or feet, and they are not similar, looking to a worm or caterpillar like species. In fact Malassezia fungi are not capable of active movement like animals or some other microorganisms. They typically stay in one place and grow on the surface of the skin, particularly in areas rich in sebaceous glands, such as the scalp, face, and upper body. While they don't move on their own, they can spread to adjacent areas by various means, including direct contact or through shedding of infected skin cells. If you want to know what they look like, just google them. however, just for context they are just a bunch of cells
What they’re showing in the video are called demodex, or face mites. They’re microscopic arachnids that live in your pores and eat your dead skin and oils, and everybody has them, whether you have dandruff or not.
Used to have so many issues with dandruff but then I started using tar shampoo and it worked so well in getting my scalp back to normal. Nowadays I only need to use it once every few months or so to keep it healthy!
People often believe “dandruff” and “dry flakes” are the same thing, but they’re not. Dandruff, like the video says, is a fungal infection that feeds on an overproduction of natural scalp oils. Dry flakes, on the other hand, is when there is a lack of oils to keep your scalp moisturized and healthy, so the skin flakes off. The treatment for dandruff is a shampoo that dries out your scalp. The treatment for dry flakes is a shampoo that hydrates and moisturizes it instead. Mixing these two conditions up, and inadvertently their treatments, oftentimes makes the condition worse.
shampoo everyday, and apply dettol water on scalp for two weeks, see if it improves. you still need to keep hair clean(shampoo 2x weekly) and eat healthy food though.
There are other causes aswell, like psoriasis which does the same thing (skin cells multiply quickly) but without the fungus part. If the dandruff generally comes in larger flakes, its usually psoriasis.
Dandruff is a common scalp condition that causes white or gray flakes to appear in your hair and on your shoulders. It is usually caused by the overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus on the scalp. Regularly washing your hair with a gentle shampoo and using an anti-dandruff shampoo can help manage and reduce dandruff. It is important to maintain good scalp hygiene to prevent dandruff from recurring. If dandruff persists despite using over-the-counter treatments, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.
As someone who thought that dandruffs were just those small whitish dry skin flakes which was caused due to not washing the hair properly, I was MOST DEFINITELY NOT ready to learn this.
You Can have dandruff (white flakes) even if you do wash properly. Some is caused by fungus, other by conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis. The fungus is pretty common and the vast majority of people have it on their heads but some people are more sensitive to it which causes irritation, skin cell turn over and itch.
Y’all need to be rotating between at least 3 different shampoos. The fungus can get used to any particular shampoo if you’re only using one type. If your dandruff is chronic, add ketoconazole *to the rotation of shampoos* and it should clear right up.
Zack, I’ve had dandruff for 4 years and it doesn’t seem to go away, I’ve been to the doctor multiple times and used different kinds of shampoo, but still it endures. What is the best solution to unalive my dandruff?
No, those are demodex mites. Also fungus isn't just hyphae and a spore producing stock. Yeast is fungus and yeast is just cells. So this could be a relative of or even a type of yeast.
Due be noted that dandrift is diffrent from Psoriasis which is a condition that looks simular but not as gross. All psoriasis is an auto immune disease that causes a persons skin to keep growing meaning lots of dead skin flakes off. This can be purely on ones head (like mine) where it seems like dandruff but it can also be else where on the body
Cool! anyway, here is the recipie for brownies! -1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter -2 cups granulated sugar - 4 large eggs -1 teaspoon vanilla extract -1 cup all-purpose flour -1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder -1/4 teaspoon baking powder -1/4 teaspoon salt -1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. 2. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. 3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. 4. If desired, fold in the chopped nuts into the batte. 5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter). 7. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Enjoy your homemade brownies!
Btw for everyone here; dandruff arent the worm thingies, theyre the reason dandruff is there. Dandruff is the oil and skin cells combined so its basically dust+oil

Thank god I was so skared of the worms
not all heroes wear capes
What they’re showing in the video are called demodex, or face mites. They’re microscopic arachnids that live in your pores and eat your dead skin and oils, and everybody has them, whether you have dandruff or not.

There are other causes aswell, like psoriasis which does the same thing (skin cells multiply quickly) but without the fungus part.
If the dandruff generally comes in larger flakes, its usually psoriasis.

@@teezy466 oh noted thank u so much💕
Dandruff is a common scalp condition that causes white or gray flakes to appear in your hair and on your shoulders.

It is caused by that, it makes it much more likely
*same.*😃😃
You Can have dandruff (white flakes) even if you do wash properly.

Due be noted that dandrift is diffrent from Psoriasis which is a condition that looks simular but not as gross.
