Now get the former DA’s who did not have these men arrested on the spot! Then get all negligent police who just gave them water and cleaned them up on the scene. They were pampered on the scene by the cops. These cops need to be prosecuted.

    • @luminousfractal420

Well tbh the police should be gentle with everyone in that situation as it hadn't gone through the courts yet and it's not their job to punish anyone. But for sure the water and pampering should apply to all colours.
You can't lead the way to peace and unity with more violence. They still have a duty to protect and serve all of the public.

Long post warning: I don't know if you watched the pre-trial hearings or watched the final sidebar today where they discussed this, but the whole trial seems sort of false as they all know the key to this case, but aren't allowed to mention it at the trial. The key being that Arbery was mentally ill, and probably quite seriously at the point he was shot. I think his mental illness records should have been allowed in the trial as they answer two questions that have lingered over the whole case. Firstly, why did Arbery keep returning to a construction site, sometimes late at night? Secondly, why did he react so unusually to being chased, and why did he choose to confront two armed men who seemed like they were serious about telling him not to come closer?
His mental records explain he was a schizophrenic, whose conditioned as (as his mother put it) 'escalated' since around 2012. He told the medical professional that diagnosed him that he heard voices telling him to do stuff and sometimes hurt people. Research shows that this condition can be worsened by smoking marijuana, which he did regularly so it seems, and he had THC in his blood when shot. If this was allowed in the trial then it explains everything. He wasn't trying to steal things from the construction site, he was visiting for some unknown reasons that could be caused by his illness. Perhaps just a compulsion, perhaps he thought the house would be his one day, perhaps he had delusions about what the house signified, who knows? But the McM's never seemed to consider this might be a possible, and assumed the worst criminal intensions.
Then, as Travis stated, as soon as he pulled up alongside Arbery he said he 'seemed off', which can also be explained by his illness. Arbery's own mother warned the cops on a 911 call that his illness made him aggressive when confronted. This is precisely why I feel that the accused are at fault, as they didn't just realise that the man they were dealing with may not be of sound mind, yet they assumed he was just trying to escape them or the cops or something as he must have committed a crime.
To me it doesn't weaken the states case to allow this evidence into trial, but I can see that many would think that it somehow makes the defendants less guilty. But I think that the facts of this case are pretty clear. None of them expected this chase to go the way it did, but when they found themselves in the situation they had created with a man that wasn't acting the way they assumed a reasonable person would, then they ended up have to shoot Arbery to defend themselves. But they acted unlawfully and thus are guilty. But I think it would have been better all round if Travis was charged alone. Just a tragic case all round. And a case that the media have seized upon to create this 'jogger narrative' that was just never there. The media should be ashamed of themselves, but I imagine that the McM's would not have been brought to trial without the outrage their coverage stirred up.
I'm sure they will be found guilty, but I won't be gloating over 'justice being served' or the jury seeing the truth. The whole thing is just very sad.

Obviously the mcmichaels initiated the encounter but from the video it seems that Ahmaud initiated the attack. Ahmaud started attacking and punching Travis, Who had a gun. I would be comfortable with the McMichaels doing time for potentially unlawfully trying to detain Ahmaud arbery and for that unlawful detention resulting in his death. But it is reasonable to assume that based on the citizens arrest law that the mcmichaels felt justified in detaining Ahmaud. Once Ahmaud initiated the physical attack the situation gets very messy. Because both people felt their life was in danger and both thought they were acting lawfully. Very difficult situation. You have to understand the situation in its totality.

SHOW ME ANY OTHER COUNTRY OUTSIDE OF THE WESTERN CAPITALIST BLOC (UK, USA, France, Germany) where this degree of assimilation would ever be allowed!~ And THEN bark about RACISM... and COLONIALISM.
Here's some food for thought... the white Boer South Africans brought Bantu tribesmen to their country as a servant underclass. They are NOT indigenous to South Africa,,, yet now they are RULING South Africa... as their own form of colonialism. Also, Native Americans are genetically indigenous to Russian Siberia.. and their presence in the Americas is ALSO a form of colonialism.

And it’s not only that they fail to see it: they still believe they were justified and don’t accept that they did anything wrong. THAT is scarier than any ‘burglar’ fleeing a crime scene.

Is the death penalty on the table, that would be the sentence decided? They certainly are guilty of the federal hate crimes, along with their other convictions. Hope justice will carry that sentence, for them to be put on death row, for the death of Ahmaud.

This was just another example of how things operate in the American Justice system even though they were convicted of murdering Ahmuad Arbery the Federal Government was willing to overturn the conviction in order for the McMichaels to serve their prison sentence in a federal prison system rather than a state facility in Georgia. Had it not been for the constant vigilance of Wanda Cooper Jones and her fight for Justice, because the Department Of Justice had given up. A Black Women's Love for her son.

Always appeal to the Most High whenever justice is thwarted in cases like these. And in your prayers, don't fail to be mindful of the DA's, the Medical Examiners and the courts. They are answerable to Him. They are in serious positions of power and are absolutely under focus.
Whenever justice fails on Earth in these cases, appeal higher. Things don't stop here within powers of corrupt powers. Don't let the mockers of justice slide. The Most High will go after the big boys. Don't look to corrupt man for justice. It's time to start appealing to the uncorrupt One.
