- Today we will recite Gopala Sahasranama Stotra from sammohana tantra which was initiated to goddess parvati by lord shiva. by chanting this hymn with devotion, we can gain the grace of lord Krishna and attain our righteous desires through his blessings.

Hi - I have a question. Can the sahasranama nyasas be done without guidance? Are there specific mudras to be used for this? The mula mantra nyasas are also there - should those also be done? Thanks.
Moolamantra nyasa should be done if you are initiation with the mantras. Rudhyadi nyasa , Hrudayadi nyasa and karanyasa procedure is same for all stotras. If you know how to do karanyasa and hrudayadi myasa. ( just like it is done in sandhya vandana ) you can use the same mudraa here also
Only the mantras of the nyasa change.
For this stotra the 6 variations ( deerghas) of kaamaraaja beeja is used

@@authorkoushik thanks for the response. The mula mantra given for this sahasranama is the 18 syllabled Gopala mantra. Can the japa of the mantra be done after chanting the sahasranama? P.s I have not been initiated into the mantra, although I would very much like to be. Only, I don't know where I can find someone who would initiate.

So to reiterate, in my humble opinion. You can start with the jaoa of the stotra with the prescribed nyasa .
@@authorkoushik Thanks a lot for the help, I understand. As for the website itself, I've been to the site many times before but I'm not so convinced myself. The comments from Manblunder say the initiators are 'professional initiatees', and I'm not so happy with that. I would prefer to have initiation from a more serious upasaka of exclusively that diety - preferably from the Gaudiyas or related (Nimbarka, Radhavallabh etc.) traditions. There's not much exclusive Krishna worship in South India (where I am), mostly Vishnu/Narayana oriented (please do not mistake me, I have no biases and greatly respect all traditions equally). Hence my trouble finding someone genuine. Thanks again anyways, do let me know if you happen to know someone who can help me out
@@pranavr1766 sure I will let you know if I get in touch of such sadhakas . Nimbarka and gaidiya deekshas are available in Bengal
