Since switching from the Happy Planner to the Hobonichi Cousin, I don’t watch many HP videos. However, I am still subscribed to your channel because I find your creativity very calming (I am a chaotic creative.) Your videos like this can be created for other planners, with some adjustments, and I love that! (I will probably binge a few of your videos now and hope it puts you back on my Home Screen.) 🥰 Love your channel though, have a blessed Christmas season.😊
Wowee! I didn't realize the full direction you were going until I started watching. That is too cool. Makes me want hot chocolate... Hmmm. I can't wait to get my printer going again. I'm slowly getting materials so I will be ready for one or two projects though! I even love the vocabulary in this one especially. Words like "convoluted..." love all the accuracy. Seriously enjoyable.
So beautiful. I attempted to make a cover for my mini HP but yikes LOL, much respect to you! I'm going to have to keep practicing 😂 I love your channel, so inspiring.
I have just found Jane's Agenda's planners and love her beautiful pictures with layers, however the prices are prohibitive for me. I have been thinking of how I could imitate her technique when I find your video!! I was thinking of vellum, but will also try acetate now! Thank you! P.S. I have a We R Makers single hole punch for discs that works so easily on laminated projects.
The hole styles differ between the HP punch and the Arc/Tul/Levenger punches. I was going to invest in the latter but saw the holes were a bit different. I personally prefer the HP style of hole punch.
The burnishing tool (I call it a sticker spatula LOL) is from a journalsay kit. Here is the link: bit.ly/4b3ZBE8 And the short answer is that my laminator only heats high enough for 5mil lamination. And since most 10 mil laminators are much more costly, I make do. Plus, you have to be careful when laminating thin materials with higher heat settings, so this is a good work around.
Yeah, it can be an issue. There are definitely 2 styles of disc holes and coordinating discs in the discbound marketplace. It can cause a bit of havoc in planner setups, unfortunately....
Personally, I prefer laser printers to inkjet. We upgraded our home/office printer about 5-6 years ago and it is still going strong. Here it is on amazon: amzn.to/3XIh6Ey (Note: we are still on 2nd set of toner since purchase so I feel like it is worth the price.)

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the vocabulary! It's always fun to be surprised when a project unfolds.

Your voice is so calming. This is so pretty and well done. Thank you for always sharing such good DIYs.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
I love the look of the layered cover. I will have to try to create my own. I am always inspired by your creativeness.
It was much easier than I thought it might be. Happy creating!

You and I are basically on the same page on Jane's Agenda covers. When frugality hits...DIY comes to the rescue! LOL!
Tul or levenger punch will handle it
Do they both work well with HP disks? The ARC doesn't always work well with the HP disks.

Beautiful! 2 questions.Where did you get the burnishing tool? …and …is there a reason that you use 2-5ml laminating pages vs. 1-10ml?

ARC disk punch will handle it, but I've found the HP disks don't always fit well in it.

@squairdplans it's so weird too because on some HP disks it works great, on others, not so much.
I feel like your printer must be really good as your print quality on that photo looks really good. Can you share what kind of printer you use?
