For me Dimash is taking this song to a whole other level that exceeds the original version. ❤️ I have listened to other people (females) trying to sing this and they can’t fully make it through the song because of it’s degree of difficulty (unsingable for a human being). If anyone wants to be picky about this Dimash is actually not singing the song exactly as it’s written note for note, but I have no doubt what so ever that he would be the one who actually could do that flawlessly if he wants to. 🥰 The great thing about Dimash is that he takes a song and make it his own. Dimash performed this in between songs during his concert. I have nothing more to say about Dimash because I am waiting for some wordsmith to come up with something new. Currently, there are no words to describe Diamsh. He first tried this on Singer 2017, Confessa/Diva Dance. That was amazing too.

The original song was sung by an Albanian opera singer named Inva Mula-Tchako. It sounds to me like they edited her track to make the steps down "square". Dimash slid them, which any human would have to do.
Thank you for reacting to Dimash ❤ Its a joy to see you enjoy it as much as we dears do! 😊 I‘ve always loved the movie as well (sometimes I still yell ‚Aziz light’ if I want someone to press the light switch 😅) and when I saw Dimash singing it for the first time I didn’t know that the original was in part computer generated. But it didn’t matter. Because Dimash sounded even better in direct comparison. 🥰 Sometimes my husband tries to show me some random singer and tells me: „Wow look how high he can sing“ or „Isn‘t she great“. Most of the time I say „Yeah this sounds nice“. But he sees my face and says „I know…Dimash is better“. I hate to see him dissapointed. But nowadays it’s really hard for me to be awed by other singers. (Only Harry Mack, the freestyle rapper, surprises me almost as much as Dimash does). Sometimes it happens with other singers, but then I think: do I like this because of the song or because of the person? Can they do the Diva Dance? 😅 Mostly it’s the song paired with an especially emotional or interesting delivery, that makes me like other performers.
I have seen a couple of singers try this but only our dear Dimash has come so close to the alien sounds from the movie. He’s amazing. 👍 You might like his version of GoGo Power rangers too which he sang (in English ) for a Chinese power rangers movie .

I've witnessed maybe a dozen other artists attempt the «Diva Dance» ( aka "the Impossible Song") but Dimash's is by far the best, and closest to the original - and that's objectively, not just because I'm (very much) a Dear! What mostly trips these (mere human) singers up I've found, is the near-impossibilty of being able to pair those incredibly precise high staccato notes with the necessary low, full and rich bass-baritone - but to then be able to "Diva Dance" between the two at will? There's only one Dimash! Thanks so much for your reation, and for putting a much-needed smile on my face! and please, keep doing what you do - it really does makes a difference! After all, had I not stumbled across Dimash in a random reaction video some 4 and a half years ago now, I might never have even *heard* of the best and most kind, beautiful singer on the planet like, EVER, who turned my whole musical world upside down and made a Dear for life that self-same day - and that's not a great thought! Daniel my theory is that if this song was an hour and a half into a Dimash concert, the audience's brains have now been turned into mush, and they are semi-comatose. It can't be a language barrier, because there are no words, in more ways than one.
He performed this song on his first solo concert in Kazakhstan called Bastau in 2017. It was after he finished The Singer competition in which he also performed The Diva Dance together with another awesome Italian song Confessa by the Italian singer Adriano Celentano. The Bastau version is short but in my opinion muuuuch better. He was much more relaxed there because it was his concert and no competition. What fascinates me the most is, that he sang this song in his concert where he had already been on stage for almost 2 hours. Just unbelievabel🤯. He worked so hard for this terrific concert. I was scared at first when I saw him. He was so terribly thin. There is another jaw-dropping performance of Diva Dance. It’s called Drunken Concubine and it is from the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala in China. He sings with Li Yugang, a great Chinese Opera singer who usually plays a female in classic Peking opera. He is a very famous singer in China. The two harmonize so well together. It’s really fantastic. I love it and I’m sure you will like it, too🥰. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. The Music Man, UK said in Sept 2023 that Dimash is the best voice in the world. Rightfully so, he well deserves this and more. He's not just a pretty face and amazing voice and skills, he's an amazing human being! He's well mannered, humble, kind and he also holds PhD in composition as 29 years old. He writes his own songs as well. Well loved by many globally. One cannot possibly compare him to BTS or any pop singers... Dimash has it all with over 2 billions of fans around the world. Dude- I LOVED how much you love and appreciate this. I also freaked when I reacted to him doing it. Although, I watched a different version, I watched "Confessa & Diva Dance" from the Chinese singing competition, "I am Singer". I then watched ALL versions. You must watch that one and the "Drunken Concubine" version. ALSO- If you loved this, you must watch him perform "Opera 2". It is amazing and not what it sounds like at all. I started reacting to Dimash at the beginning of my reaction journey over 2 years ago and he STILL blows me away there is always something new to listen to and I'm nowhere near through his discography of work. There is a longer version of this on I am Singer show, he sings it with another song Confessa, I think it is from 2017. I would love to see him in concert some day. There are a ton of videos on his youtube channel. You should watch The Story of One Sky the live version from Almaty and then watch the video. I honestly believe there is nothing he cannot sing!

The original song was sung by an Albanian opera singer named Inva Mula-Tchako. It sounds to me like they edited her track to make the steps down "square". Dimash slid them, which any human would have to do.

I‘ve always loved the movie as well (sometimes I still yell ‚Aziz light’ if I want someone to press the light switch 😅) and when I saw Dimash singing it for the first time I didn’t know that the original was in part computer generated. But it didn’t matter. Because Dimash sounded even better in direct comparison. 🥰
Sometimes my husband tries to show me some random singer and tells me: „Wow look how high he can sing“ or „Isn‘t she great“. Most of the time I say „Yeah this sounds nice“. But he sees my face and says „I know…Dimash is better“.
I hate to see him dissapointed.
But nowadays it’s really hard for me to be awed by other singers. (Only Harry Mack, the freestyle rapper, surprises me almost as much as Dimash does).
Sometimes it happens with other singers, but then I think: do I like this because of the song or because of the person? Can they do the Diva Dance? 😅 Mostly it’s the song paired with an especially emotional or interesting delivery, that makes me like other performers.

I have seen a couple of singers try this but only our dear Dimash has come so close to the alien sounds from the movie. He’s amazing. 👍 You might like his version of GoGo Power rangers too which he sang (in English ) for a Chinese power rangers movie .
The majority of the song in the movie was done digitally on the computer because no one at the time could sing it.

The comment you read out loud, meint Dimash changed a tiny bit of the song and sung it deeper. But you are right he absolutely nailed it. So it doesn't matter 😊. Drunken Concubine is worth it as well. Together with the singers version, bc he was so nervous but it's a beautiful version as well.

I've witnessed maybe a dozen other artists attempt the «Diva Dance» ( aka "the Impossible Song") but Dimash's is by far the best, and closest to the original - and that's objectively, not just because I'm (very much) a Dear!
What mostly trips these (mere human) singers up I've found, is the near-impossibilty of being able to pair those incredibly precise high staccato notes with the necessary low, full and rich bass-baritone - but to then be able to "Diva Dance" between the two at will? There's only one Dimash!

He performed this song on his first solo concert in Kazakhstan called Bastau in 2017. It was after he finished The Singer competition in which he also performed The Diva Dance together with another awesome Italian song Confessa by the Italian singer Adriano Celentano. The Bastau version is short but in my opinion muuuuch better. He was much more relaxed there because it was his concert and no competition. What fascinates me the most is, that he sang this song in his concert where he had already been on stage for almost 2 hours. Just unbelievabel🤯. He worked so hard for this terrific concert. I was scared at first when I saw him. He was so terribly thin.
There is another jaw-dropping performance of Diva Dance. It’s called Drunken Concubine and it is from the Shanghai Spring Festival Gala in China. He sings with Li Yugang, a great Chinese Opera singer who usually plays a female in classic Peking opera. He is a very famous singer in China. The two harmonize so well together. It’s really fantastic. I love it and I’m sure you will like it, too🥰.

He is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Olimpico is a masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote for Dimash’s vocal skills. This song and especially this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

I watched the entire competition of The Singer from 2017. Loved every moment he sang.
He did this after already singing for 2 hours in a concert! The movie had technical assistance for the singer, because "no one should be able to do this!" LOL. He is Heavenly sent for sure! Did you listen to Ave Maria?
In the movie The fifth Element, I believe they used a synthesizer for some of it. This guy has such a unique voice. He is absolutely amazing!

The Music Man, UK said in Sept 2023 that Dimash is the best voice in the world. Rightfully so, he well deserves this and more. He's not just a pretty face and amazing voice and skills, he's an amazing human being! He's well mannered, humble, kind and he also holds PhD in composition as 29 years old. He writes his own songs as well. Well loved by many globally. One cannot possibly compare him to BTS or any pop singers... Dimash has it all with over 2 billions of fans around the world. Dude- I LOVED how much you love and appreciate this. I also freaked when I reacted to him doing it. Although, I watched a different version, I watched "Confessa & Diva Dance" from the Chinese singing competition, "I am Singer". I then watched ALL versions. You must watch that one and the "Drunken Concubine" version. ALSO- If you loved this, you must watch him perform "Opera 2". It is amazing and not what it sounds like at all. I started reacting to Dimash at the beginning of my reaction journey over 2 years ago and he STILL blows me away there is always something new to listen to and I'm nowhere near through his discography of work. Enjoy, the "Dears" (Including me) will show up and be loyal followers...If I can ever be of any help, feel free to reach out.
Oh- By the way- if you didn't know this fun fact, when the original Opera singer recorded Diva Dance for the Movie, they recorded it in different parts and edited it together in a way that no HUMAN could ever possibly sing it...Until Dimash! lol.
