I'm a beginning artist who's looked at literally 20 or so tutorials here on youtube and this is by far the best, most informative one I've seen so far! I've been looking for a tutorial to explain WHY and HOW to do things (rather than just saying, "do this"), so that I can understand & repeat it. Thank you for creating this tutorial - this has inspired me!
@C4RL0Z479 thanks for the suggestion! i wasn't familiar with his work until i saw this tutorial but i've been looking into it since and you're right - his work is amazing! :)
your really good! im terrible with drawing and i wish that i could draw but i just realised that you draw circles really good! my circles are never close to perfectly round hahaha
I was always taught and teach in my own classes that there is nothing darker in shadow of the body or dark cloth than the pitch blackness of the pupil of the eye.
He uses the Copic incorrectly! And doesn't even know how to tell one end from the other at a glance with the lids still on! Imagine if he really knew how to use these remarkable pens correctly!!
Watched this.
Watched this again while drawing.
BEST EYE I HAVE EVER DRAWN.
EMBER SAME!! 😁✌️🌸🎨

Adam Hughes is the man of knowledge in anatomy.
Not only is Adam damn good at what he does, he's also the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
I happened upon you via this vid thru Jerry's and I'm hooked. Hands down the best eye drawing how to AND WHY tutorial.
Thank you. You're rad! Cheers.

Amazing, thanks 😁👍
Adam Hughes!!!!!!!!
Besides the jokes This tutorial helps a crap lot, thank you :D
This really helps! thanks!
@forestfamily1 In case you dont know much about Hughes work, check it out, he´s one of the best illustrators in the comicbok industry.
I was always taught and teach in my own classes that there is nothing darker in shadow of the body or dark cloth than the pitch blackness of the pupil of the eye.
This helped out a tone thanks ;)
This may not be a top ten tip, but use the correct lighting when you paint. Use a daylight bulb if you don’t have natural light.
Lighting definitely plays a huge part!
Q. Who painted the bottles ?
I love Adam Hughes and the "HUGH"estastic CIRCLES =)
What are these pens he's using?! :D I loved them! can someone tell me, please?! (:
Copic pens. Adam talks about them in his DVD "Drawing Good Girls". I highly reccomend it.
cool...would have been nice to see how the inner deatil plays into the light source... but for a quick tutorial well done...
They are not pen. They are copic markers.
And I love using them they are so wonderful and easy.
Anybody know what he has taped to is drawing table that the push pins are in?
Iris, cornea, lens, optic nerve, socket, brow, bridge
Most comic artist are more aware of things like these because they usually exaggerate them. This technique is a good example.
Hi Adam, what do you use to draw?
He uses his hand, the right hand to be more specific.
+Massimo Serretti copic markers
Thank you very much Adam.
Thanks Loryen.
"Hey! Im wet! Im looking at you" XD
how would you make eyelashes that does not seem to make a woman older ???
tank you man , now practice!!!!!
“Of course, because it’s me, I’m gonna draw a woman’s eye, it’s in my contract with God.”
I love you
Fucking genius!!!
Write a how to book!
"im wet, im alive, im looking at you", classic hughes
"I'm wet, I'm alive, I'm looking at YOU!" That is what she said!
and if its me im drawing a womans eye...its in my contract with god
...soo you do need to make a contract with god to draw well...?
No disrespect to Hughes, but The Michael Turner drew the best eyes in the buisness.
.......bullshit
You must always draw women's eyes or you will turn homosexual.
I was going to be sarcastic, but, hey, maybe you just need some exposure for your art. Maybe you can post some of your stuff on TH-cam.

🤡
...the tool doesn't make the artist.
